Super lessons, mate. Could u do a lesson about secondary lV subdominants?? There’s so little info about that around....everybody talks about sec dom, not sec subdom.. thnx❤
Hey ! Could you do a vidéo about how to use chords function for composition (besides the basic V to I ) ? Is there any guideline we could follow or are funciton only relevant for analysis ? Thanks !
Why is the F#7 in the key of (D) on my chord chart ? Shouldn't F be a minor ? Is this F#7 a subdominant function ? I thought the (Fm) or iii was a ( Tonic) replacement ??
Without being able to see your chord chart, I’d guess it is saying that F# is the dominant chord in B minor (harmonic minor, with a raised leading tone), which shares a key signature with D major. You are correct in saying that F# would be the iii and minor in the key of D major, but I’m guessing your chart is referring to B harmonic minor.
I need this super tonic costume pics!!!!
Omg, I just found these videos. They’re amazing. Thank you. 😘
0:39 "Sooo... I guess in conclusion: the subdominant can really go anywhere."

Sweet ! Encore !
Clear, concise, helpful.

A bit late, but Odd Quartet has some videos on stuff like that, and some other helpful theory videos
How does this behave in minor? The 2 Chord has a tritone in it. Does it still count as a subdominant? And if, why?

Edit: 0:56 Oh.. He said it. *Sad Life* I wrote the comment before he said it!!
I haven't experienced the "premier" feature until now.
Helped me so much with my assignment, thanks! Got a sub from me:)
Can someone please tell me when to use the ii and when to use the subdominant

@@twominutemusictheoryThe F#7 appears as an alternative chord in D.
Whats the hurry
Predominant?
it would've been more understood if you don't use musical staff as a reference so that beginners like me would've clearly grasp it.....thanks❤
I think you might be getting ahead of yourself. First learn musical notation.
🙄🙄🙄
Can you talk faster? ;)
