This is totally brutal. Rhythm, chords, all exactly done with push pull feel. This woman is just amazing. Spriritually augmented to the Krall degree. Not have any more words, just pure enjoyment.
This is the most aggressive playing that I have heard from her. The percussive manner of playing reminds me of Duke Ellington. The ending reminds me of Count Basie. I simply love her vocal stylings. It is her own. There are flashes of earlier female singers. Accompanying oneself on the piano is not easy. Well done.
Diana Krall is on a class of her own as a singer. As a piano player he is in another galaxy. I remember my music teacher trying to explain to me about what "apoggiatura" was. To my humble knowledge which includes heaps of piano players, Diana Krall is the No. 1 master of apoggiatura, and swings as...
That's guitarist Dan Faehnle (Fan-lee). He was part of the Diana Krall quartet for three years and currently he’s the guitarist for ‘Pink Martini’ orchestra.
Paul Ballenger You asked me 27 weeks ago if I know Diana Krall. No Paul I don't know her personally. I just saw your message tonight. Very sorry... I didn't intentionally ignore you. Peace
Just so gooood!! And, I love how she has all the other musicians solo, and then gives the audience there names. I think Diana Krall will I hope by playing music for a long time to come, but is already a legend in her own time. I've enjoyed her so much along with the players she brings with her...just can't say enough good about her. And, yes she is a great, looking, woman, but that is not what makes her music great. She has integrity and character, not just looks.
Realmente brillante en sus acordes, variación de ritmos, tonalidades y la interpretación del tema , mezclado con su apasionada voz, la lleva muy lejos en el escenario. De lo mejor hoy por hoy !!!
Sam Brinsom,so you think you need to be American before you can be considered to a Jazz musician? What about Oscar Peterson? He is Canadian and Michael Buble too. If you ain't got soul I don't care what part of the Planet you are from ! Dick Tynan Dublin Ireland 2o2o
Krall takes a legendary song and puts her signature to the piece. This is one of the best renditions of A-Train. Dave Brubeck, another jazz great, did a fantastic, out of this world version of A-Train in 1966.
I love how she used the classic Count Basie ending, instead of the "A Train" ending, which of course is derived from this tune! Totally subverted my expectations.
beautiful...lindíssima...talentosa, magnífica cantante, com trejeitos labias do saudoso Elvis...até semelhante...pensei fosse filha...mas nao é...nota dez...
one of her best performance. Leave the band to play with you as they all are excellent players. Don't steal the Whole time and you will be a real jazzer.
Why be critical of someone who plays the piano as well as she does; appreciate her talents and enjoy the performance. Roger Plafkin-Plafkin Farms, Ada, Michigan
And you’re the orchestral leader 🎉 as Duke E was! The female counterpart to all male orchestra leaders we’ve all seen in the jazz business 😮! Ola Stockholm Sweden 😢!
very nice arrangement takes me back to 60's jazzz feeeeeel where i can just close my eyes and listen to jazzz and not want to open my eyes to maintain that picture and scenery that i have vivdly in my mind oh how much i love music soo much
Diana hangs in the groove like a swnging metronome. Ellington would have loved her. I still wonder how the hell a White, female Canadian could have ever acquired such a mastery of jazz piano and vocals. But I'm glad she did.
LIEVE DIANA WAT IS DE EERST TREIN DIE JE KAN NEMEN OM MIJ TE ZEN DIE HET VOORJAAR MET ZICH MEE NEEMT EN DE ZON DIE ALTIJD SCHIJN ZAL DANK JE WEL SCHAT JE WOUTER JOANNES
LOL! Who doesn't know this was a Strayhorn composition. Though some argue the lyrics were in fact written by Joya Merrill NOT Strayhorn. Would not surprise me as men often took credit for a woman's work back then.
Amazing! Of course this version is great, and she plays great jazz piano, but, if you want to hear the A train that Diana is influenced by in this version, give a listen to the great Betty Roche's version of A Train when she was knocking em dead with the 1950 Ellington Orchestra. Just type in Betty Roche A Train
This is totally brutal. Rhythm, chords, all exactly done with push pull feel. This woman is just amazing. Spriritually augmented to the Krall degree. Not have any more words, just pure enjoyment.
I am hooked, addicted , zonked out by this killer trip on the A Train.
this genre will never end! this is music!!!!!
Volum
This makes all other music looks simple
Not only is Diana an amazing singer - she is a dynamite piano player. What chops ! She is the face of everything that is wonderful about jazz.

Been in love with her work for over 30 years. Exceptionally talented musician/singer.
Me too. Been following her since she came on the scene. Never disappoints.
She and they are all AMAZING, but I remain in awe of the bass players who can play like that without the benefit of frets!!!! Jazz is just jazzmazing!
はじける様に弾くピアノ、歌い方.GOOD🤩🎼🎹大拍手。🙌
That's guitarist Dan Faehnle (Fan-lee). He was part of the Diana Krall quartet for three years and currently he’s the guitarist for ‘Pink Martini’ orchestra.
Oh I'm so in love with her... music, her playing. She's something else.
For me the best version of this classic. Dian owns it !
This is what you get when you have super talented musicians who respect the music, respect each other, and respect the listener. Fantastic!
Diana, I love you, you're amazing, thank you for everything, your talent is out of this world!
Diana Krall is one of the greatest Jazz musicians/singers of all time. I think she is brilliant.
+Sheryl Goolsbee - Me 2
Paul Ballenger :-))
Paul Ballenger Do you know her personally?
+Sheryl Goolsbee What is she doing lately and where? And after he, who? And Buble? Or is this the end of the line for this genre?
Paul Ballenger You asked me 27 weeks ago if I know Diana Krall. No Paul I don't know her personally. I just saw your message tonight. Very sorry... I didn't intentionally ignore you. Peace
This is a swinging rendition of this jazz tune. Diana is one of my favorite jazz musicians.
This woman just always rocks it. Amazing.
Please, we need more people like her!

Super cover by Diana! Go Girl! Killer guitar also!..
Realmente brillante en sus acordes, variación de ritmos, tonalidades y la interpretación del tema , mezclado con su apasionada voz, la lleva muy lejos en el escenario. De lo mejor hoy por hoy !!!
she have played with the best and learn . she has mastered "" Soul'' from the Best and made her own Style.
Love Diana! She makes it into a real foot-stomper.
This lady has the precise feelings necessary for playing jazz. Remarkable, outstanding,
considering she hails from another country.
Sam Brinsom,so you think you need to be American before you can be considered to a Jazz musician?
What about Oscar Peterson? He is Canadian and Michael Buble too.
If you ain't got soul I don't care what part of the Planet you are from !

Lucky Elvis Costello, He has talent and Diana Krall,. Its a match made in music heaven.

Amazing! A great performance . Enjoyed that.
L'incisività degli strumentisti durante gli assoli è qualcosa di stupendo!
Talented no matter where she is from I love her smirky smile!
That is some guitar solo - creates and just swings!!
Great guitar solo. I really liked it.
A brilliant performer. Can't we simply listen to different versions of the same song without all the negative comments.
It is cool!
She and her friends inspire me.
Effervescent, original, spot on. Sweet.
Fantastic. Diana Krall rocks.
I had to steal that guitar solo, the lick he plays over the ii V at 2:42 makes me smile every time
Who is the guitar player? no name given-
Ethan Ditthardt always came back to listen this solo
@@normanspurgeon5324 Dan Faehnle, she says his name right after the solo
she’s an artist in another far dimension from me. thanks for teaching me many essences. i’ll sing my own song that is the best i can ^ ^
Absolutely love Diana kralls version of this song
Pure class, pure woman, pure Lady!
Krall takes a legendary song and puts her signature to the piece. This is one of the best renditions of A-Train.
Dave Brubeck, another jazz great, did a fantastic, out of this world version of A-Train in 1966.
Guitar guy is great !
Clase y elegancia .
......una maravilla
Dan Faehnle on guitar - amazing

Magnífica pianista, magnífica cantante!
Love this cover.

Géniale Diana !
😳Diana, very good wings🎹 player & All other players 🤗
fantásticos! Amo!
Esta es de la época en que Diana Krall tocaba jazz y parecía disfrutar con ello.
You’re doing this A-train tune like Duke Ellington 😮, himself! Good Diana 😊! Ola Stockholm Sweden 2:15 !
Her talent oozes over, while that sweet guitar takes a big bite. Each note placed just so hey train? Yeah A train.
one of her best performance. Leave the band to play with you as they all are excellent players. Don't steal the Whole time and you will be a real jazzer.
Ellington, Basie and Krall, now that would be a trio!
WOW👍😍IM OVERWHELMED
Can you imagine a Costello/Krall concert ?
I'd pay $ to be there !
una fra le cantanti pianista piu nota oggi giorno bravissima nel jazzmoderno e passato,e virtuosa

Wonderful woman, I'd like to make a trip on that A-train. And thanks for this vid.
And you’re the orchestral leader 🎉 as Duke E was! The female counterpart to all male orchestra leaders we’ve all seen in the jazz business 😮! Ola Stockholm Sweden 😢!
This intro is swinging sophisticatedly, like Basie.
Really cool version!!
When she coughs she sounds better than most singers.
Fantastic!
What a great performance!
Best A TRAIN Ever!
wow wow It takes me back to good old Montréal, Rockhead Paradise after hours -The return to the office was o800 then ----
Das ist fantastisch!
Krol means in Polish language "king"
Diana Krall said that her grandmam was Polish
Love it, Love it!...Big time
She is my star !!!!
Have you ever heard her sing " Alone again Naturally" ? by Gilbert O'Sullivan. Beautiful voice. And this I just love thanks for uploading :-)

Great Duke Ellington cover !
Wonderful!
Magistral.
Fy fan vad bra hon är! Swedish for unbeatable!
A rare treat in today´s world of sewer music.
LOL! Who doesn't know this was a Strayhorn composition. Though some argue the lyrics were in fact written by Joya Merrill NOT Strayhorn. Would not surprise me as men often took credit for a woman's work back then.
Joya Sherrill
Helen Merrill
I love her contralto voice. And i wish I could play 1/10 as well as her
@exjazzbassbaz...He's also the guitarist for Pink Martini.
Great solo
Love to hear her do Lush Life.
+eflatguy That's quite a compliment. It's a hard song to pull off, akin to Cole Porter"s "Miss Otis Regrets," both very difficult songs.
@mrglowingman.cheers for that.i will investigate mr faehnle.i would love to hear him stretch out.he has bop in his soul.many thanks.
she so sweet ,
on my feet,

Great 😊👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
