    Absolutely lovely pattern! You are an excellent teacher! Thank you so much for sharing your talent! I used a 2 ply fingering weight merino. I did 30 rows instead of 28 and the pattern worked up beautifully!

    i decided to make myself a pair, and i have wasted a day, or its seems like that looking at every conceivable pattern on you tube, keeping vlogs, not keeping some, and then when i thought all hope was lost, i came across this pattern, your pattern. thankyou, your teaching style is just what beginners, newbees, and anyone who needs a little hand at getting it right needs, it was easy to follow your instruction. im going to get going tomorrow and we will see if i can follow this beautiful pattern

    Very nice and very easy pattern . But a bit big for my hand , so I will need to make mine a tad smaller . Thank you for the tutorial , I found it very easy to follow , as your instructions were very plain to follow . 😀 ❤

    Thank you Kathy for letting Helen do this video!! So easy to follow along😊I have already made my first set! For me though I need to make the wrist smaller😂and maybe the thumb holes also. If I use smaller hook sizes will it help with the holes and bring the stitches closer together?

      Hi Nicole! A smaller crochet hook will definitely make the holes smaller and bring the stitches closer together. You will have to adjust your number of stitches. :)

      Hi Nicole! Yes, if you go to a smaller hook, you may have to adjust the number of rows for the wrist. You can wrap it around the wrist to see if it is the size that you want.

    thks for sharing - very easy to follow :-) my hands are bigger - easy to adjust the rib, but do i keep the 28 or do i adjust to 32....?

      Hello! You are very welcome. You can try a 32 and measure it around your wrist, before continuing on, to make sure that it would fit and not be too large.

      Hello! You are very welcome! I don't have the hook sizes & counts for a bulky 5 or bulky 6 yarn, but I don't think that it would be too difficult to alter the pattern using that style of yarn. Look on the yarn skein for the recommended hook size. Make the starting chain the size of your wrist. The rest would be made the same way as in the video tutorial. I hope my tips help you.     28 is big for my wrist, if I make 24 rows of the ribbed part do I still need to do 28 sc, or will it work with 24 since the thumb part is in there.

    Good morning, Helen. I’m a bit confused, on round 10 the written patter says, “1 fpdc in first fpdc, dc 2 in space btwn fpdc and dc, dc in next dc, ch 6, sk 5 sts.
    However, you state to this differently. Is the round 10 of written wrong? Thank you

      Hi MzDaisy, there are 2 versions of the written pattern, I made the other version. The only difference is the thumb opening size. I liked the version that I used on video tutorial, but both versions would work. :)

      Hi Shona! You can change the starting chain to a smaller size. Make the rest the same way.

    Why not continue on the top of the ribbing instead of cutting the yarn at the end of the ribbing, that way you can bury the two ends of the ribbing in the first row of the mittens and not have so many knots??

    Why didn't you just continue crocheting when you finished the cuff, instead of cutting the yarn and then reattaching it...you would have wasted less yarn and eliminated the extra knots?

      Also, do I need to have 28 stitches in the first round after the cuff? I only did 26 for the cuff but before I start the top I want to know if I need to add 2 stitches.
