Hi Jane! Thank you so much for your nice complement! I am happy that you liked my how to crochet UA-cam video tutorials! Have a beautiful day and Happy Crocheting!
Absolutely lovely pattern! You are an excellent teacher! Thank you so much for sharing your talent! I used a 2 ply fingering weight merino. I did 30 rows instead of 28 and the pattern worked up beautifully!
i decided to make myself a pair, and i have wasted a day, or its seems like that looking at every conceivable pattern on you tube, keeping vlogs, not keeping some, and then when i thought all hope was lost, i came across this pattern, your pattern. thankyou, your teaching style is just what beginners, newbees, and anyone who needs a little hand at getting it right needs, it was easy to follow your instruction. im going to get going tomorrow and we will see if i can follow this beautiful pattern
Very nice and very easy pattern . But a bit big for my hand , so I will need to make mine a tad smaller . Thank you for the tutorial , I found it very easy to follow , as your instructions were very plain to follow . 😀 ❤
You are very welcome! I loved the look of these fingerless mittens too! I was equally surprised at how quick and easy they were to make! Happy Crocheting!

Hello! I am so happy that you liked this video tutorial. Navy blue sounds like a beautiful color! I have a matching hat and water bottle holder video tutorials too that you may like. Happy Crocheting!
Thank you Kathy for letting Helen do this video!! So easy to follow along😊I have already made my first set! For me though I need to make the wrist smaller😂and maybe the thumb holes also. If I use smaller hook sizes will it help with the holes and bring the stitches closer together?
Hi Nicole! A smaller crochet hook will definitely make the holes smaller and bring the stitches closer together. You will have to adjust your number of stitches. :)
Hi Nicole! Yes, if you go to a smaller hook, you may have to adjust the number of rows for the wrist. You can wrap it around the wrist to see if it is the size that you want.
Hello! You are very welcome. You can try a 32 and measure it around your wrist, before continuing on, to make sure that it would fit and not be too large.
Good morning, I just finished my gloves and they turned out lovely. Thank you for a wonderful video. Is there a matching hat/ear warmer or a hat/ear warmer that would compliment these gloves?
Hi MzDaisy! Thank you very much! I have a matching hat and water bottle holder. Here are the direct links: matching hat ua-cam.com/video/zb8s7uZXv3s/v-deo.html and water bottle holder ua-cam.com/video/QwVRyRDB9zM/v-deo.html
Hi Shasta! I am so happy you liked this video tutorial. I am sorry but I don't know what the link is for the written pattern. I couldn't find it on Ravelry.
Hello! You are very welcome! I don't have the hook sizes & counts for a bulky 5 or bulky 6 yarn, but I don't think that it would be too difficult to alter the pattern using that style of yarn. Look on the yarn skein for the recommended hook size. Make the starting chain the size of your wrist. The rest would be made the same way as in the video tutorial. I hope my tips help you. Happy Thanksgiving!! :)
Very nice video👍thanks a lot❤️ Is it possible that the post lean on the opposite direction like for the left hand so as to distinguish one from the other?
@@helenmaycrochet8411 thanks for replying❤️ but if you just flip it then the design will be the same - the 'rays' leans to the right for both hands(↗️). Could the 'rays' lean to the left for other hand(↖️)?

Good morning, Helen. I’m a bit confused, on round 10 the written patter says, “1 fpdc in first fpdc, dc 2 in space btwn fpdc and dc, dc in next dc, ch 6, sk 5 sts. However, you state to this differently. Is the round 10 of written wrong? Thank you
Hi MzDaisy, there are 2 versions of the written pattern, I made the other version. The only difference is the thumb opening size. I liked the version that I used on video tutorial, but both versions would work. :)
Why not continue on the top of the ribbing instead of cutting the yarn at the end of the ribbing, that way you can bury the two ends of the ribbing in the first row of the mittens and not have so many knots??
Why didn't you just continue crocheting when you finished the cuff, instead of cutting the yarn and then reattaching it...you would have wasted less yarn and eliminated the extra knots?
@@helenmaycrochet8411 thank you! You are a great teacher. This is a great tutorial, not to long and drawed out but very clear Instructions. Well done!!!
Also, do I need to have 28 stitches in the first round after the cuff? I only did 26 for the cuff but before I start the top I want to know if I need to add 2 stitches.
LOVE THESE. I made adjustments for mine and I didn't tie off at the wrist. I just chained 2 and started the glove part.
I love your house it's beautiful what I can see country looking I love it.. just had to tell you
I want to congratulate you for your very precise explanation that anyone can understand and I did your hat and mitts. Lovely

Is there a written pattern for these mitts. I’m not finding it anywhere off google search
I found it in the group that you shared with us
Hi, thank you Kathy and Helen. I need to make my ribbing bigger. How can I do so without changing my hook size?
Hi MzDaisy! You can increase the number of rows and wrap it around your wrist to make sure that it is the size that you want. :)
HelenMay Crochet thank you for your quick reply. I did just that. I just didn’t know if it would affect the other part of the pattern.
Thank you for the tutorial! But can I have a link to the FB group so I can also find the written pattern? :)
Hi Lisa! Boy are you in for a treat! I am a member of several crochet FB groups, but I really love this one dedicated to free hat/mitten patterns: facebook.com/groups/603800456472001/
28 is big for my wrist, if I make 24 rows of the ribbed part do I still need to do 28 sc, or will it work with 24 since the thumb part is in there.
I am sorry but I am not sure. I hope that you had a Merry Christmas and have a Happy New Year! Happy Crocheting!
Hi Helen if I want the wrist patternto be a bit higher ,what do I do ???.
Hi Sharifa, You can just make more rounds to the size that you want. I hope that answers your question.

my wrist size is 18 rows 28 rows are too loose for me what to do pls guide me
Hi Shona! You can change the starting chain to a smaller size. Make the rest the same way.
Why not continue on the top of the ribbing instead of cutting the yarn at the end of the ribbing, that way you can bury the two ends of the ribbing in the first row of the mittens and not have so many knots??
Hi r mooney! You could do that if you wanted to. :)
Why do people go in with there hook backwards ? I have seen alot of this lately just curious
Hi Krazymammaw! I am not sure what you mean. I wasn't aware of this.
Why didn't you just continue crocheting when you finished the cuff, instead of cutting the yarn and then reattaching it...you would have wasted less yarn and eliminated the extra knots?
Hi Kim! That is just the way I did it. I followed Kathys method in her written pattern. She gave me permission to make the video tutorial.
I'm having a devil of a time finding the written pattern? Can anyone help?!?!?
Hi KIm! The written pattern is by Sarah Arnold on Ravelry. She gave me permission to make the UA-cam video tutorials.
What is the difference between version 1 and version 2?
