Bozzcnc, you will really have to give us MORE INFO :-) about how you connected the $50 screens (you gave a us the price, good start)...but tell us more. Please
Hi, brilliant. Can you refresh the link to the screens please? Can you also send a step by step guide on how the screens interface with BMS? Or, I will buy from you ASAP :)
I have never known why some of the Racing Devs dont make this type of software for rear and side mirrors for a car in racing sims. that would be amazing.
Great video, I just got the Cougar MFDs as birthday present and I'm looking to mount at least one screen too (specially for DCS F-18 central MCP, I can't see sh** in my screen XD). Could you please explain how do you connect & mount them?
Too Cool! But as everyone else has pointed out, some info on how you hooked it up would be great. I'm guessing that you have no intention of answering that question or you'd have done it by now.
Hi.. nice setup. Can you reveal what's your hardware setup (graphic card/s) and how much fps you get in BMS while MFD export? And of course with soft do you use: BMS buid-in or MFD Extractor?
Hi, I was looking at the LCD displays on eBay how do they connect to a PC? Do they just connect to a video card as normal? What exactly is the controller card/board for? (I already have the TM-MFDs so I'm looking for the best screens)
+Bernard “ben” Tremblay -- I know a lot about flight simulation and a little about the programming end. There are already a lot of DIY resources about interfacing these MFDs with the sim and that is actually the easy end which is well documented as there are a lot of A-10 and F-18 fighter pit builders out there who use these. My question, as written, was directly asking about the LCDs themselves as they don't appear to have any sort of standard video connection port but as you can see in the video it looks like they have been connected to a VGA plug. I'm just not seeing that on the actual product pages for these little screens in particular which are linked in the description. If you look down, a lot of people are asking the same.
+Bernard “ben” Tremblay What the Fuck? I'm not drowning chief and I do not see where you got that idea. And glad you do tech docs. So have I. I was simply asking about a port connection for the LCDs which appear to have none. I know about LUA. No need to get all postal "Brah".
+Bernard “ben” Tremblay Are you just here to troll or actually answer questions.... "I dunno" I guess the pool is too deep. I guess its just craft after all. Geez.
I was wondering if it was possible to do this with that other popular acronym simulator, DCS :) I fancy some MFD's for my A-10C so I can FSU with my GAU. LOL we gamers love our initialisms.... what program did you use to export the display?
Are those from China lobby. If so what was your screen size to get them exact into the mfds. Mine are just a little to big and some of the screen is cut off when I put the plate on top of the screen
This is a Killer Set up!!! Very nice... Can you please tell me how you connected the two screens and synced them to the game?? Also what type of software are the screens running? and what are the exact mods on the screens?
A Pauley adjust your resolution to the monitors to 800x600 and it should fill the cougars right to the edge, if not, play withe reducing or expanding it in increments horiz/vert until it does.

Crenshaw Pete lots of info on the DCS forums but you use a program, I use Helios to export the images from the game onto the monitors. With the cougars it’s really just like the real thing. I worked F-16/A-10 avionics for many years and this is scary real.
Bro.... CLEAN YOUR DESK! Other than that... This is awesome. I should be saving up for these. If the MFD's are 8 inches... and the Screens are 8 inches, why is there so much extra screen? :-/
Okay, i get it that you got some itty bitty monitors and then put some MFD "keyboard" on top to make it like a real MFD. But how does one actually get the MFD portion of the game to appear on those external itty bitty monitors? How do you get it to show the MFD portion ONLY, on those mini external monitors?

I love how your desk is covered in shit (CD spindles, takeaway menus and the like). Totally realistic setup. :-)
The mind of a genious
Thats a real gamer's setup.. unlike what you see in PC setup showcases..
Is there any way you can show how to make the connections or how to do this?

looks ALMOST like the real thing, amazing!!!
omg, we have waited for these for so long. Fantastic!

would LOVE it if you gave a tutorial on HOW you got that working exactly
the real set up of a flight simmer, paper everywhere on the desk. I use to have that set up too lol
That's my next DIY. Do you export with Helios?
This is awesome! Have you posted a complete tutorial anywhere?
Falcon 4.0 rules the sim world....for two decades now. duh! ;)
+Andyy Olesen DCS is getting momentum too
I wonder if this could be used to display the kneeboard map in Aces High 3, and how it would be configured to do so?
Would love to see a full tutorial (for the weak-minded like me ;) ) Great idea + execution!
How did you get the ingame screens displayed on the LCD screens??!
@@dettwideo via "Mutliple screens" in game and a lua script.
Yyyyyep, I'm gonna need a couple of these. Wife's going to kill me.
godoffej I got this setup on eBay right now for sale, two Lilliput monitors and two thrustmaster cougars.
That looks fantastic but in order to type numbers in the ufc you still need to use the mouse.
Are you going to build some cockpit?
how did you get the LCD screens to display that MFDs?
Can you still get these LCD screens, I cant find anything on your ebay link!
Great setup. Can you tell us how to set up our cougar mfds with tablet displays? Ie: what software you use to display mfds to tablet screens?

Thank you!!!
can you tell me the dimensions of this mfd? in cm
the view-able area of the MFD Cougar is 5.5 inches. How did you adjust the 8 inch lcd screen to fit inside that area?
looks great... Do you know who makes the HUD up-front controller for the F-16 sims?
Is there a chance to inform me please how did you made the adjustments via bms cockpit display extractor???

+Bernard “ben” Tremblay You sure make a lot of assumptions buddy. (and making family attacks now?) Mature. I'll just back away slowly. O.o
Is it possible to use it as A-10C's MFCD in DCS World?
+Retral Yes very much feasible. I just don't know where to go to find the method by which to implement this to a monitor. :(
+Retral Helios
suppose you don't have the link to the screens?

What sim? and what avionics software are you using? Love the video!
Mega Max Productions The title says, ""Thrustmaster Cougar MFDs 4:3 x 8" - F16 BMS"
Sorry, I haven't heard of it yet, I'm still looking around. Thanks!

Have you tried using double sided tape?
TOp VIDEO ! must have
Do this works i DCS when flying the F-15C?
*in DCS
It will work fine. You just need to get the profile for the Eagle and load it in to Helios program to export the Lua file to the monitors.
which software do you use for the small screens ?
what is this abortion of tape and cables? lol. Cool video man!
Give me!!!
Take my money!!!
awesome!
