- Given all of the controversy between these two vehicles, we decided to put our shop's 11th Gen Civic Si and 5th Gen Acura Integra up against each other in some heads-up, real-world action... and had some fun doing so!
Vehicle Overview: 0:00
Roll Race 1 (Comfort Mode): 1:27
Roll Race 2: 1:50
Inspirational Quotes 2:18
Drag Race 2:31
Trash Talk 2:55
Though this isn't exactly an apples-to-apples comparison because of the Integra's mild modifications, we still felt that this video would help show viewers what to expect from both vehicles in both factory form, and with basic bolt-on modifications. Both of these vehicles share the same L15CA turbocharged 1.5L engine, 6-speed transmission with LSD and are very similar in terms of weight. Each car feels very familiar, yet provides a surprisingly different driving experience. Our team is continuously impressed with how well the 11th Gen Civic platform feels and handles. The 5th Gen Integra has given us some even more joys to look forward to.

The Dom quarter mile speech to Brian before they race got me😂😂😂😂 “on greeen I’m going for it”😅😂😂 hell yeah
Just saw someone post the sticker price at a dealership for the Integra A Spec, $58,000 out the door. They're out of their F'ing minds
Dealers here are charging 10k over sticker for Civic Sis...and than tacking a bunch of accessories om the fully loaded integras and adding markup so I believe it smh ehat I can't believe is people spending that much for either
@Bryan Meza no you didn’t. You’re leaving out TTL, dealer fees, etc.
Yea I just got mine and it was $50,000 after dealer add ons and markup. 😵
@@ftr911drvr - "tacking a bunch of accessories"....wonderful...pay 10k over for a car that's been molested by the caring mechanics in the back.
@@JS-en9mg - please tell me your joking.
Why didn’t you race these before the Integra got bolt ons?
Agreed, but we already know a stock Si is slightly quicker than a stock Integra thanks to being about 100 lbs lighter.
@@TheBreakfastLover yeah, but I wanna see the difference in action, not just know about it in my head. lol
@@SIIKAP1 Edmunds just did an Integra vs Si drag race. Was essentially a draw and came down to who is the better driver.
@@TheBreakfastLover yeah I watched it. Need to see a roll race or something. That older dude was the better driver.
@@user-fx6tp3gs8s that doesn’t even make sense. Shit cars should still race stock vs. stock. Even tho they’re great cars, just slow afff lol
Awesome video! Love the f and f references lol
If you look at the far left side of the screen 2:06 - 2:08 you'll see a state trooper. Which led to the acura pressing on the breaks aggressively. 🤔
Dang, good looking cars and bearded dude!
Sick guys
The civic need a different driver 💪🏻 amazing video thanks PRL
Not sure if it was the drivers fault. The Acura has mods.
I don’t understand the purpose of Acura making this vehicle, they should of made just a Type R version with an accord 2.0t power plant IMO.
Give them a chance. They haven’t even released the civic type r yet. A type s integra is very likely
@@weaselman50 should be coupe
Fun stuff 😆
The civic having the passenger filming makes a huge difference in the roll races.
That was done on purpose because the integra is slightly heavier.
Whomever made this video deserves a slap to the face. Should have been stock vs. stock, then stock vs. modded, modded vs. stock, then modded vs. modded. We all know the teggy is a heavier but still. Smh.
Cheesy ass video but I love it 😆
You never had me. You never had your car. - Classic😅
I think it would have been better to see how they perform against each other bone stock. I knew the Integra would win.
Nice video lol
Acura - overpriced molasses
That was aggressive
The integra actually sounds really nice
Wow that exhaust is ugly af on the new ILX
Did u guys really put that exhaust out in the market? It aint the 90’s anymore
To bad dealers are charging 10K over msrp!
Isnt the Integra twin scroll?
Yes/no. While yes, both the 11th Gen Civic & 3rd Gen Integra's L15CA (same engine and turbo) utilize a divided turbine inlet, they are not technically a true "twin scroll". We actually did a blog writeup on this a while back if you care to checkout:
prlmotorsports.com/blogs/news/2022-honda-civic-1-5t-drop-in-turbocharger-upgrade-development
Awful how Acura ruined the integra name. The 4th gen was the last. This is just a rebadged ILX. Awesome video though!!!
1.5l engines are junk. Should have put a turbo K20 in it at least 250hp, sucks to see these newer Generations getting slower than 9th gen SI. At least Subaru is doing it right the second gen BRZ is better than the first more horsepower, displacement, also quicker.
Exactly. The people buying BRZ's and 86's are the true OG's. These 4-door limousines are a disgrace.
This is base only
Takes a lot of work to make the lighter car with the same specs somehow lighter.
Or the effects of making a car more premium/luxury causes a car to weigh more.
This simple looking Si looks so much better than the so called Integra
A modified car vs a stock car with a passenger. Not a good race for these two to see any performance difference.
There is no performance difference to see in factory form. They have exactly the same drivetrain
@@weaselman50 Their weight slightly differs. Their shapes are different. The drivetrain is not the only factor.
Wtf is that sporty car if ir cant get under 7 in 0-60 mph? its a shame... loks good - yes. Spacy - ok. But it sucks. Even old integras could do it under stock under 7. I Would tear this thing apart with my 2002 Seville, stock. 21 Year later gap in the usage.
That new Integra looks sick!
You have poor taste.
😂🤣😂 I like your joke
Your intercooler, intake, front pipe AND catback all together only add 10-15hp? Might as well just save the money and not even buy them lol.
Intercoolers aren't power adders, they're heat exchangers and necessary for safely and consistently making power and become increasingly more critical at higher boost levels. We've seen 15-30 horsepower losses between Dyno runs once heatsoaked. Checkout @ososik's video. In regards for a cat back exhaust, we have already proven the factory exhaust to not be a restriction with the 10th gen platform years ago. The factory tubing supports the 1.5L displacement well. Exhaust systems are purely power adders for these cars under around 500 hp.
@@PRLMotorsports Lol well yeah, intercoolers aren’t a power “adders” but they’re a power sustainer for sure….I know what intercoolers do. I just expected those bolt-ons to make more than 10-15 hp over stock. Doesn’t seem worth the money to me. A $700 intercooler, a $400 front pipe, a $420 intake and a probably $500+ catback for a measly 10-15 hp? Yikes.
@@quick2mack74 to each their own. Some want to improve the factory exhaust note. At the end of the day nobody is making anybody purchase anything.
@@PRLMotorsports 😂
I’m definitely going with 27WON’s better/more affordable parts now. Peace ✌🏽.
@@quick2mack74 but iT dOeSnT sEeM wOrTh ThE mOnEy. 🤔🤔 Again, nobody is making you buy anything, so go right ahead. Kinda hard to claim better or more affordable, though, when the MSRP or data for their parts aren't available yet.
Save yourself the extra $10k and buy the Civic. It is the same car 😂🤣😂 this "Integra" is so ugly
The si's are specialty cars so they're being marked up more. Where I live the civic si is more expensive than the Integra aspec tech
@@xtralex3010 same here civic si cost more than fully loaded integra
@@sungwlee86 exactly ppl are just yapping without actually going out there.
Same f'ing car lol
The SI is so slow Now its not even funny and the teggy looks jus like the damn TLX
@Rob K.you are 100% correct
The Si is stock and the integra has multiple bolt ons….
@@SIIKAP1 2007 civic si has 200hp 2.0 na and is a 14.7 sec car....now this newer civic si has 200hp 1.5 Turbo and is a 15.5 sec car...HONDAS HAVE GOTTEN SLOWER OVER THE YEARS AND AS A HONDA FAN IM DISAPPOINTED.
@@chrisgreen-nu9hs that has nothing to do with the fact that the only reason THIS Si was slower was because it was stock, and the Integra had several bolt ons.
Yes, they are too slow. But that’s not the point I made.
@@SIIKAP1 i wont argue with ignorant bro u clearly cant comprehend wat i jus said
Horrible drivers
Integra is so fucked, way off from its original
This is not a fair comparison. Fail!!
Jesus that Integra is hideous. Cool video though.
Don’t call that shit an integra lmao
Acura ILX.
@@doubledown8229 The ilx was strictly based on the 9th gen Civic. The 9th gen Civic did not use a 1.5 turbo engine. And a hatchback was not an option. So that's why they didn't use the ilx name for this new integra.
