I’ve owned a business that’s been open 23 years I hear everyday how it’s someone’s fav store to come to when they are in town. Which is positive & I’ve put years of blood sweat & tears to make it that way but this last year everything just dried up it’s been such a struggle I’m now homeless trying to keep my business open & scraping by to pay the high rent & my lease is up the end of this coming Jan & I’m having the hardest time trying to decide if I want to renew or close. Part of me wonders if things dried up to push be in a different direction or to test me to see how bad I want to keep it open? I’m going to also try to renegotiate the rent or move to a smaller less expensive spot or a year lease instead of a longer one if I choose to close at least I will have a year to unload my goods & let my customers know but neither option feels good, staying or leaving!!
