The Mets pitching is horrible. The GM did a bad job building a pitching staff. Giving the umpires the power to suspend a pitcher for 10 days without any proof is absurd.
True, any pitcher should be able to hold a 6 run lead but including a AAA pitcher but obviously the Mets don’t have guys capable of holding a 6 run lead. Maybe you haven’t watched the games this weekend. The Mets pitchers lead the majors in walks, and that’s how big rallies start, they put way too many guys on base.
Score 9 to 10 runs a game and pray they can hold on.

Mendoza is pulling the starters too early. After Diaz got suspended, he should have leaned on the starters more, but he pulled them as follows:
Jun 26 Manaea pulled at 77 pitches, gave up 0 ER
Jun 28 Quintana pulled at 93 pitches, gave up 2 ER
Jun 30 Severino pulled after 79 pitches, gave up 4 ER
Jul 1 Peterson pulled after 86 pitches, gave up 2 ER
I’m nats and I enjoy your show, but I gotta say that you should Thank Davey Martinez for taking Gore after 5 and 2/3s of 1 run baseball. Thank Keibert Ruiz for that At bat in the ninth. Thank Derek Law and Jordan Weems for being a crappy pitchers with runners in scoring position. Either way the Mets earned this win but if the Mets lossed the game the way the nats did you would be screaming at the television.

After the top of the 10th I was hoping 6 runs would be enough.

So far, Diaz’s suspension doesn’t mean anything. He really hasn’t been in position to save any game. To save Saturday’s game, he would have had to pitch
more than one inning. The Astros are a top tier team, the Mets aren’t.

Don’t care how many runs up, Mendy should stop fooling around putting in the Kids who are not effective . Put the most experienced pitcher in which was Garrett. Plus he was too slow to pull Jay .bullpen needs major fixing but great win this
I think it's terrible move of Mendoza to bring in T. Jay to pitch the 10th inning to try and save what he considers his A1 pichers, The Mets currently don't have a A1 pitcher' Jay allowed the Nationals to get within 2 runs and Mendoza ended up having to use Garrett anyway. He should've allowed Garrett to start the inning with no pressure and a 6 run lead to get through a stress free appreance, specially since we had lost the last two games and really needed this game to start the road trip.
Any pitcher should be able to hold a 6 run lead, even a random from AAA

Alot of managerial mistakes: took out peterson too early given bullpen situation, taking out vientos for gamel when still need his bat, poor lineup construction putting taylor between vientos and alvarez, leaving jay in too long, ., but luckiky won anyways
Lineup construction...MFer, they scored NINE runs!
And if hasn't been spoken, the splitting of Taylor is simple: if he needs a thunder stick and the opponent goes to a tough righty, he goes to Stewart off the bench. They're clearly playing the D platoon late (Iglesias for Vientos), so you'll need the extra bat, in case the lineup turns again.
