Lovely! Can't wait to use this at the office. I have a case for managing documents for the purpose of ISO 9001 compliance. SharePoint is what we use for document management but not at full scale.
Great video. very informative and clearly explained. However, Not clear what licenses are needed for Copilot Agents in SharePoint or otherwise and their costs. Copilot Studio licence, PAYG option.? A video on this topic would be helpful
@DerekWildstar-u4y license is the worst complicated thing that MS will never clear out for users. The structure of powerplatform license is made in such a way. I hate to say but these licensing practice will surely push the word citizen developers away and people will be back to good old Dev practices.
@DerekWildstar-u4y for the SharePoint Agents - both options Microsoft 365 Copilot license and PAYG are available. This does not require Copilot Studio license.
@@MicrosoftCommunityLearning but what if we have a copilot studio. Many of our user do not have copilot m365 license. Can they use without extra PAYG. Thanks in advance for your answer.
Great Video, are Guest also able to use the agent if they have access to the site if there is an Pay as you go option? This would be great for some specific cases. Furthermore are there any restrictions on the files? Are we able also to get the information from a onenote for example? Or from a loop component? If those options are also available this would make it a really useful tool overall seen.
In general normal users do need the license with exceptions - here's good latest information on that learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepoint/manage-trial-agents-sharepoint-powershell

Sweet! Are there any limits when it comes to the size of a sharepoint folder? Like max number of files, total weight of the content etc?
Great question - no official limitations as such. Here's a good FAQ to follow - support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/frequently-asked-questions-about-copilot-in-sharepoint-eb1b7668-3d98-4a93-98ef-f0c6dfc694f0
Current (December 2024) you'll need Microsoft 365 Copilot license. Pay as you Go option will be out in 2025 with more details coming soon. Objective of that is to provide you the option to use SharePoint Agents even without the Microsoft 365 Copilot license. See links in the video description.
I feel deeply frustrated by this rollout. I invested significant time and effort into building a chatbot that connects to SharePoint data sources via REST APIs and integrates with Azure OpenAI to provide intelligent answers. With this new SharePoint Agent feature, it feels like my efforts may have been wasted. It also raises the question of why SharePoint data sources were never made available in Azure Search Service, even though the REST API was released back in 2021. I hope Microsoft can provide clearer communication and better support for developers in the future to help avoid situations like this.

The Agents' Song In the digital dawn, where data flows, Agents rise, their wisdom grows, From ancient scrolls to bytes of light, They guide our quest, both day and night. In SharePoint's realm, they stand so tall, Answering queries, great and small, With every click, a door swings wide, To knowledge vast, they are our guide. In languages diverse, they speak, From English shores to Swedish peaks, They bridge the gaps, they span the seas, In every tongue, they bring us ease. With context keen, they understand, The needs of every searching hand, From product specs to legal lore, They fetch the facts, and so much more. In Teams they join, our chats they grace, Bringing wisdom to every place, On mobile screens or desktop's glow, Their insights help our knowledge grow. So let us honor these agents bright, Our digital guides in the quest for light, In every heart, in every land, They help us learn, they help us stand.

Thanks a lot for sharing this Vesa. This was very informative.
Glad you enjoyed it! Great feature for sure 👏

PAYG option is available with SharePoint agents as well - see more from learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepoint/manage-trial-agents-sharepoint-powershell
Great overview!
Thank you! Step by step is important 👍
really liked the agent being used in teams chat with multi lingual feature..
That's so cool feature - and really shows the power for agents not only in SharePoint, but across the Microsoft 365 👏
excellent
Thank you! Cheers!

Some awesome questions, team will get back soon on these - need to follow up internally 👏
@@MicrosoftCommunityLearning Any updates?
Can the agent search real-time data on the internet, say, to perform market or competitor analysis, to compare features against competitors, etc?
Looks exciting, can't wait to try it out. Do normal end-users need a license to chat to an agent, or do you just need a license to create them?

@@MicrosoftCommunityLearning Have this feature been rolled out globally? I have a copilot license but i'm not able to creaqte sharepoint agents
Currently rolling out - should be available for all latest in early January
The agents are free now, when will the charging commerce?
