As a barber that uses uppercut on all my clients and myself i love all their products but make sure yes its a fresh can and also make sure your hair is dry it makes a world of difference
I used to use gel for my hair, wich is quite short. As I started trying pomade, I really loved this one a lot! It is a lot creamier and softer when the tin is brand new, but it gets dryer and stickier as it empties... And I absolutely love the scent! Well, for a water-based gel-pomade I think its really nice, but as you mentioned also expensive. About 18 - 20 €uro in Germany!
Use a new can cus the one you have is old and is already dried up lol. A fresh can literally comes out like butter and takes awhile to dry. Youre using literally chewing gum compared to what it really is.
I like the fast drying cause once i comb my hair back i need it to harden ASAP before everything falls out of place, sometimes i use a hair dryer to speed up the hardening process with the other brands.
Well, I usually gravitate towards water-based pomades out of a personal preference, and this one really did it for me! The smell is amazing and I knew it would be great from the start. If I don't use something that will harden up my hair, it will make it feel gooey and greasy (not the good kind) and it will be all over the place.
men ,you should try js slone , admiral or slick devil , dose are really good water based pomades, but this still was a good review , thanks for the honesty
I just used it for the first time and honestly I didn't experience anything like the reviewer. It's not crunchy at all. I can run my hand through it. The hold is great. Shine is ok. I would call it medium. It didn't go off very fast. I didn't find it particularly thick or messy. I found layrite thicker. Dunno. Maybe the formula changed. But I really like this stuff.
very honest review. I completely agree with you!... This is probably the only honest review available in youtube about this product.. I don't get what the big fuzz is. This was my first pomade ever because I heard good things about it and I had no other point of reference. I was actually pretty happy at first. But then I traveled to Japan and accidentally bought Cool grease and I was so surprised on how good cool grease is for much cheaper.
This is like the Holy Grail of water based pomades and I kid you not,I've tried a dozen of hair products such as pomades, clays, pastes etc. This pomade though is just on a different level, the smell is gorgeous, the ease of application is a dream (use it on damp hair),the styling is second to none, you can work this thing on your hair for a long period of time without getting sticky, tacky, dry or losing it's hold like EVERY other pomade that I've used has. Honestly, once you go Uppercut Deluxe Pomade, you just can't go back, you won't find anything thag works, smells or performs like this. The only downside that I can think of is that during hot months or when you sweat more,it doesn't hold so well but this is an issue that all water based pomades have. Just a 11/10 product,it has zero competition, whatsoever!
I bought this product brand new and at the beginning it was a VERY good pomade in my opinion (however much that means) but once I got to the end of the product (like how you started out with) the same things you said happened. Very odd.
This review is spot on man. I'm from Australia and i'm not proud to say that it's a 'local' for me. The only reason I buy this is convenience, it's not even sold at barbers it's sold a culture/clothing shops. Like you said we are in a pomade community where people are pushing boundaries and for the water based game there are such better options and why should we have to settle for second best?
I use Uppercut Deluxe everyday and let me tell you guys this. To everyone even Cam up there in the video: He's right on one Aspect, it is a little more of a jell pomade. It does dry. And leave your hair crunchy and stiff, HOWEVER, It's supposed to be done once and it stays all day, believe me, I work in a factory and move and sweat all day. It stays in shape and doesn't move. NOW, when you get towards the bottom of the can, the material does get more tricky to use, more tack and sticky like. More Grit. Basically. RESTYLING: Wet Comb Does Work. But it's backwards, get your hair damp again, and the comb. Do your do and restyle it. Once you do that, in about 5mins maybe 10. You're set for the day. WHEN It comes down to it, and this is an honest review. Please listen. It's a morning one and done type deal, of water based pomade that'll last you. Water helps backwards when restyling. Hoped this helped guys, try it. Tip: Try it right out of the shower.
It's not that this is a bad pomade, it's just not good enough to be worth $18. I found it as standard water based pomade that could hold up at $10-12 bucks
So far this is my favourite pomade I've used. I tried it once, cause I bought 4 different hair products from Uppercut at once, so each day I'm testing another one, but I used this one to style my hair and went for a party. After me dancing, singing and banging my head like crazy I came back home to see that my hair looks just like I left it before going out. I would need to test some miracle making products to think that this pomade is not great.
You definitely need to buy fresh cans dude because this one is super old and I can tell it is because I get free pomade from them and I love it!! You just need a fresh can
I don't enjoy coconut and vanilla scents too....I like them, but you know...so much out there. I know that it's because of not overpowering colognes, but still. I love the scent of Murray's Super Light, Reuzel Green, DAX pomades (all of them) etc. Btw, are you planning doing review of Voodoo Brew? :) Thank you!
The only thing I agree with on this is the price, however it is totally worth the $18 for a can. It's my all time favorite pomade to use because of the fact that it has a really strong hold (which is something I have an EXTREMELY hard time with for other pomades because my hair is thick and it grows out fast) and it has an amazing smell (another added bonus). Plus it's super easy to wash out of your hair when the time comes. I would absolutely recommend this product to everyone!
My can of this sucked! the worst part was I never got to finish the expensive can because yea it drys out. So the packaging sucks too. I started my pomade journey over a year ago and to be completely honest I have only regreted one purchase. This is that regret. I could have spent it on something else, dang maybe even two different small cans.
You definitely using a bad old jar dude! This pomade is by far my favorite pomade of all.. a fresh jar will scoop out like butter , no dryness at all. This pomade smells works and washes off perfectly! Simply the best don’t know where you got yours.
Aye m8 I used it and the first time since I didn't know how much to put it was horrible but after I found out and it's my favorite it has a pretty good hold and doesn't get hard in 5 min for me
pixarmilan Dr Rubins Ultra Shine, Uncle Nicks, Royal Crown Hair Dressing, Super Light Murrays, Dax Vegetable Oil, Rustin Light, Stay Sharp Super Duber Light, just to name a few
Yeah man couple of people have said it, you should have used a new can - I've tried the whole Uppercut range and Featherweight and Deluxe have this weird effect of gumming/crusting up at the bottom. It's thick but not as sticky as you say :I
you got an old and dry pomade, you should definitely try a unused/unopened tin. the pomade it isn't brown and sticky, its red and very soft. but yes it will get your hair crunchy...
Isidro Chavez Back then I didn't know about Cool Grease and Unorthodox Home Brewed water bases didn't exist. Products like these are getting left in the dust and are becoming less like pomade each day
bro try suavecito og its much better and I need a hard hold BTW cause if I can bend over and my hair falls down its not a good pomade I need a cement hold but nice review Cameron!
I got a can of uppercut and it's the best I find. I have fine and straight hair and it's the best for a slick back or a high&tight slick back! When I got my can it comes out like butter it's easy outta the can. Layrite I find is thicker outta the can and dries quicker. Personally I like uppercut. You always bash on water based pomades. Maybe you should stick to oil based reviews no offence. Your reviews are awesome and what not but why bash on water base all the time! Anyone that is watching this video and wants to try uppercut try it you won't be disappointed in the product and well worth the money!!!
Great Review, l too hate this stuff. I tried the uppercut monster hold just because l had my hat on all day and l needed something for my hair so l saw this and bought it. Irresponsible decision. lol
Everything is fine dude, but I was wondering, when will the next Ace Ventura movie arrive?
Lmaoo fr

You should try this again with a new can. It's one of favorite hair products I've ever used. It doesn't dry up that fast for me
Will Arsta i noticed that this guy likes only cheap ones, i m using uppercut and i m very pleased about everything
I like the fast drying cause once i comb my hair back i need it to harden ASAP before everything falls out of place, sometimes i use a hair dryer to speed up the hardening process with the other brands.

one of the best reviewer ....keep it up
what should I get for the first day of school? Lockharts Meduim, Shear Revival DOWK, or O'Douds original? I want a shine, hold and especially SMELL
I bought this product brand new and at the beginning it was a VERY good pomade in my opinion (however much that means) but once I got to the end of the product (like how you started out with) the same things you said happened. Very odd.
i use to work for a wharehouse that distributes the uppercut pomade and its one of the best pomade I've used so far and the smell is just fine
Try the Uppercut Monster Hold more of a greaser pomade doesnt harden

I completely agree, you need to be super quick with the styling before it dries up. Its frustrating..

What about the scent, is it good?? Thanks man
yeah dude, you need to try Uppercut from a brand new can. But you probably wont, and you'll prob just ignore this comment like the rest
You definitely need to buy fresh cans dude because this one is super old and I can tell it is because I get free pomade from them and I love it!! You just need a fresh can
Andrew Arias how do you get it free if you don't mind me asking
I don't enjoy coconut and vanilla scents too....I like them, but you know...so much out there. I know that it's because of not overpowering colognes, but still. My favorite water base pomade ❤
I’m surprised he didn’t liked this pomade so far I’ve heard the total opposite of all the negatives he said about it 🤷🏻♂️
Very bad hold ive heard.

wimpman94 whaaat? For me when i bought it, it was $10.99
It's water soluable It's not even that sticky, it's easy to wash out. and you can get nice holds out of it.

I got very thick brown hair can anyone suggest a great shiny hair product. I tried uppercut but that shine just disappears
Since you mentioned Morris Motley in the video, I'm wondering if you use the product and if you are going to review it ? Would be interesting! :)
What about shiner gold pomade ?
Totally agree with this review.
Doesnit hold like layrite or hardens more lol?
And hows rquzel? Does it hold like layrite
cant you reveiw admiral pomade
What wax brand do you recommend?
why don't you give yourself a fade on the sides so that you don't have such a round look on your hair?
Because he wants an old school pompadour.
any discount code for hedgelion, sir?
Good job, as per the norm.
I was wondering, which Pomade would you say has the highest shine?
pixarmilan Dr Rubins Ultra Shine, Uncle Nicks, Royal Crown Hair Dressing, Super Light Murrays, Dax Vegetable Oil, Rustin Light, Stay Sharp Super Duber Light, just to name a few
Thanks Mate,
Also, I was wondering how old are you?
Cameron A i was wondering too , which pomade would you say has the best scent ? (waterbased )
Yeah man couple of people have said it, you should have used a new can - I've tried the whole Uppercut range and Featherweight and Deluxe have this weird effect of gumming/crusting up at the bottom. It's thick but not as sticky as you say :I
you should try shiners gold pomade its pretty good
Do a review on slick devil heavy
Initially this pomade wasn't sticky or fiber-like, but once I got down to the bottom it did become sticky and fiber-like. Very odd
where do you trade pomaded or is it in your community ?
Anthony Sayvongsa The Pomade Trade and Sell group in Facebook
Seems about right...
What is your go to site for pomade purchases?
Tyler Dowd Hedgelion.com then Etsy.com and last resort is Pomadeclub.com
Cameron A Thanks, pal!
+Cameron - Out of curiosity, why is pomadeclub your last resort? I've only just discovered that site and it seems OK to me!
I prefer the others
Hey, do you have anything planned for when you hit 2,000 subscribers?
What do you mean with "homebrew water based", what are those?
Means it was made by people at home not a company by the masses.
People who make there own pomade
oh good i like your hairstyle.
Is this better than the reuzel blue?
vaggelis tsoutsas did you ever try the uppercut? I think the Reuzel Blue is amazing I just think the vanilla scent is to much for my liking.
you got an old and dry pomade, you should definitely try a unused/unopened tin.
the pomade it isn't brown and sticky, its red and very soft. but yes it will get your hair crunchy...
The monster hold of Uppercut is not to be taking lightly....I heard people cant get it out their hair after a week
I remember in your review of Ruezel(water based) you said that you weren't one of those guys who say "It's gel" ... What happened ? Lol
Isidro Chavez Back then I didn't know about Cool Grease and Unorthodox Home Brewed water bases didn't exist. Products like these are getting left in the dust and are becoming less like pomade each day
* Reuzel
Isidro Chavez Which is why I say in this review that it is a bad pomade, but a good gel. Ya know what I'm sayin
+Cameron A hmm yeah thanks for clearing things up a bit. Pomp hard ! (:
That higher price is also due to the fact it's from Australia.
it cost $20 in aus too
+B ROUX actually costs 24 in AUS
its australian made, there shouldnt be shipping costs
bro try suavecito og its much better and I need a hard hold BTW cause if I can bend over and my hair falls down its not a good pomade I need a cement hold but nice review Cameron!
Josh's whips and lanyards Obvious troll post is obvious, but thank you
When are you gonna unleash murraycito on the world?
+BW4LL when are you gonna shut the hell up about it?? it's annoying
+Cameron A how am I trolling its a question is that hard???
I love suavecito
You really need to re-do this with a new can
its only that sticky on the bottom
So I guess reviewing Uppercut Monster Hold is out of the question?
The Corona If I get hold of a tin from a buddy who wants to trade I would, but I'm not going to go searching for one haha
Not my experience with this one, it's easy to scoop, doesn't dry up at all, easy to spread and a pleasure to use🤷
Anyone that is watching this video and wants to try uppercut try it you won't be disappointed in the product and well worth the money!!!
I like layrite bc i have thick hair , would uppercut be good for that? Or usually layrite even makes curly hair look straight
So true my friend way to expensive it's everything you said👍🏼👍🏼
You should try Hanz de fuko modify pomade
Garbage
u mean hanz de fuckboy?
Disblaze lmao
Great Review, l too hate this stuff. I tried the uppercut monster hold just because l had my hat on all day and l needed something for my hair so l saw this and bought it. Irresponsible decision. lol
FUCK OFF
Totally agree. Poor product. Solidifies into rock so quickly and leaves the hair like straw.
just do it!!!!!
this stuff just falls straight out of my hair in a couple of minutes. Shame as Iike the smell...
Dry very fast and is so expensive this is shit
I bought some and I hate this pomade
its time to change barber man, your haircut look like: i am bald, i got dark skin on head and i put rock on my forehead
what should I get for the first day of school? Lockharts Meduim, Shear Revival DOWK, or O'Douds original? I want a shine, hold and especially SMELL
LFKGAMING TV I'd go with Shear Revival TOWK.
Damn I would have gone with o'douds original. Awesome hold and killer shine. Towk is too light
