Our quails are half a day old and still drying in the incubater..We're getting the brooder ready and wondered if it's okay to put a small mint plant in there initially as I heard it acts as an antibac? Or should I wait for the 2 weeks as suggested before I put any sort of greenery in there?
Oh no. That's such a shame, poor little chicks :( Quail chicks are very fragile when they first hatch out and do need food quite quickly. But at least you know for next time and can get everything ready for them :)
Nice! You sound like a sports reporter giving a report of the going ons. I got three quail chicks about 4wks old but the male disappeared into the bush. Those things are fast!! He just jumped out and dashed for the bush even before I could bend over to pick him up. Lesson learnt, though.

Hi I need help idk if my baby chick is sick or what ? He hatched yesterday and today he been sleepy all day . Like he be falling cause he so sleepy Idk if this normal this my first time hatching eggs at home and I'm worried about this I don't want him to get sick or die Plz help me thank u 🙏🙏
Give him water..a shallow dish with pebbles in it to stop them from drowning...u have to teach all baby birds how to drink...tap the dish repeatedly, they will get the idea.
love the video and advice ^^ My lone quail loves boiled rice. I know in japan in wild there found in rice fields Coturnix quails.
Aww that's so cute, Mine love boiled rice too, but because i like it too it tend to go in me rather than them :D

Turkey and game bird starter is also adequate. 28-30% protein.

My quails chicks are dead 💀 😭 because of food so IAM realize don't hatch quail eggs without food

Yes, as when the bird first hatched the only place their getting nutrients from is their own yolks, so it isn't absurd that their eating yolks.
