Dan's point to 500 viewers versus 10,000+ streamers is exactly an issue people have with imagining societal issues. It's the concept of "one murder is a tragedy, a million is a statistic." Collectively we've evolved past small, primitive villages but the human mind hasn't caught up from an evolutionary standpoint. We still can't comprehend huge numbers realistically which means we generally can't fathom issues that affect large groups.
