- This little apartment has an amazing view because its in Midtown Manhattan right next to the Empire State Building. Also, if you share it with someone else, its actually affordable.

75k a year purely on rent. Absolutely insane
Dumb to pay rent when you can save up and, in a few years, can easily buy a nice house in NJ.
@@Joseph-lz5ertrue, landlords just laugh at you for paying that. Actually quiet sad but i guess the majority is lazy and just pays
Weak beta males smiling in agreement with the mantra of "You will own nothing and be happy"!
@@Joseph-lz5er Where are you gonna live in the meantime? Perhaps, mortgage is the right decision here, given you're able to make a down payment.
You couldn't pay me that to live there in that concrete hell.
There was a famous scene in a movie with the quote ''You had me at hello''. What I can confirm is ''you lost me with 4900 bucks per month''.
$6,250 is nuts… imagine making high 6 figures and needing roommates but also struggling with roommates lol
Supply/demand.
@@albertalmaguer7362No. It's rampant greed. Hence why there are empty apartments.
@@romktch17 and that's why there are employees to lease them and people are willing to do so, if not the price would be so high and an entire market wouldn't exist.
If people will pay it, other people will charge it. It’s called capitalism. Enjoy the ride.
So where was the tiny box apartment? Stop using "tiny box apartment" for clicks. This was mostly just bad footage of New York.
I know wtf is wrong with the guy wrong titled?
Lol
Not a bad deal for the location! I'm pleasantly surprised! And the thought of watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade from above it sounds amazing!
Not a bad deal lol
When they call it a "tiny-box" apartment it means full size apartment here in Hong Kong. I think in this apartment you totally get what you pay for!
I expected the entire apartment to be smaller than the living room was.
I was just thinking that. Also 'small kitchen' !!?? it's 3 times the size of mine! I'm in a proper 2 bed, and 2 bathroom, flat in the UK.
I would love to see actual tiny-box apartments at some point. These are all so fucking huge to my Finnish standards.
How about the price @4:57, is it huge too? One month's rent in this apartment is more than I pay in a whole year.
There are some super-tiny apartments on this channel, single rooms with no bathroom or kitchen and barely wide enough for a bed.
here are a few I've just found, search for these titles:
"A Tiny $800 New York Apartment"
"Tiny NYC Apartment, Smallest of 2020 Full Tour. Downtown Manhattan Micro Apt, No Stove, No Bath!"
"Living in NYC’s SMALLEST Apartment (60 Square Feet)"
@@justso4509 I had not seen "Living in NYC’s SMALLEST Apartment (60 Square Feet)" so thanks for that. He does show small apartments sometimes, but quite rarely and his titles are always pushing it to the "This is such a tiny apartment" even tho it has multiple rooms and a seperate living room etc. It's annoying to me, but I still love these videos no matter what.
Prices are absolutely insane. But renting isn't cheap in Finland either(in bigger cities) so I can't really comment on that, but obviously a manhattan flat with nothing in it costing about 3000 a month is insane.
@@MrZarewna we call that click bait titling
@@hannahanderson4305 As if I didn't know. It still should have some logic behind it. Not every video needs to be clickbait.
Where"s the tiny apartment?
And this is why I live in cozy northern Kentucky. Lol!
First view lmao nice. Love the stuff Cash!
690 units! Imagine a fire in that. It would be a nightmare. Or bedbugs, there is no way bedbugs will be eliminates when 690 units cannot comply with measures to terminate the bugs.
This is huge and unexpected this close to Macys Parade🎉🎉🎉🎉
You couldn't pay me enough to want to live in that ocean of humanity.
The concrete jungle !
Love your videos. Suggestion, can you please mention in the videos if the apartments are pet friendly? Appreciate it!
I grew up in the Chelsea co-ops (Penn South apartments) on W. 26th St. so when we had nothing to do my sister and I used to just walk up and down 34th St, going into shoe stores (a lot of them even in the 1970s), Macy’s, Korvette’s and Gimbel’s. Too bad they didn’t have that Herald Square outdoor seating area back then.
You'd have to earn at least $200k/yr., $4000/wk. or more than $75/hr. or to live comfortably in Manhattan. Maybe more. I don't know how much food, taxes, power, Wi-Fi and other entertainment might cost so I think that $2000k would be the minimum. Correct me if I am wrong. This seems like a good guess.
I miss NY every day... might have to help me find a place next summer when my baby graduates from her country side HS
Good Morning All
this apartment looks huge to me....i was expecting smaller. I won't mind staying here with all the amenities in the building and convenience
Almost the entire population of Whittier, Alaska live in one building and that's 300 people. LOL
$4900 a month!? What type of jobs do these people have to afford that!?
The pay is just more
Hooker, drugs or mechanics.
That landlord is making.. (690 units x $4900 month x 12 month)... assuming all units from studios to 2 br average out dollar wise... That is $40,572,000 a year!! Crazy money 💵
😃 If they're your roommate and also a bully.😆😆😆
What, no in unit laundry? Other than that, these are really nice. I like the well cared for “Pre War” buildings withe Basic 5,6,and 7 layouts.
Just put awesome oriental screens…or that giant ikea bookshelf…..ive seen that in a loft in brooklyn, it made an awesone room divider!
AREA HAS GREAT ENERGY❤❤❤
I love all of those apartments. Plus the location is excellent, especially for the Macy's parade.
And that’s the problem. People accept this as a normal situation when it is not. Throwing away your hard earned money on a chicken coup
I know NYC is expensive. But, I don't think I could ever justify spending that much on an apartment. I can get a mansion here in W. PA for those rates.
This is the best Apartment that I have seen so far on you Channel.
Im in the Mojave desert in Southern UT. Cant imagine living like this, so interesting
Thats where my airbnb was! I remember it was really old and needed renovation
I work a block away from this building and always wonder how it look inside.
With those kind of rents. It is easy to see why all the windows open only three inches with little bars on them. The landlords are afraid you will jump out when the rent is due!!!
That view is priceless❤❤❤❤❤!!!
I Hate my One Neighbour so this would mean I will have to hate 698 other Neighbours!!🤣
I loved the first one and for the area $4900 cheaper than expected not that I could come up with five grand a month but hey when in NY right? Safe building, doorman and so on but you’d never go hungry with all the restaurants and food trucks that is if you have enough money left after paying five grand a month plus utilities along with transportation costs as well then you can hit those restaurants. It’s like you know you made it to uptown NY man! (Or close enough to it)…
I admire your channel. When you are ready to leave the RAT race, Burlington VT is a great place to live
This guy cracks me up. Funny without meaning to. 😊
4900$ per month? Lol this doesnt seem worth it.
HUGE apartment! Nothing ‘box-like’ about it!
I would make that fireplace a gel fuel indoor fire place. Why waste great space? It is smokeless, odorless and not toxic. Seen plenty already of them.
I’ve never seen the water pressure being weak in one of your showings.
I have, more than once.
8:05 I am currently sitting on my toilet watching this video 😂
Looking at these videos i really feel like wanting to visit NYC. I've never set a foot in the USA yet while i see it my entire life via internet. Must be so interesting to be there for real 😀
The turning into a 3 BR is crazy, especially in the 2nd one
Every time when Jordan ask for rent, I feel like someone just kick me streight in the ball's! Painful!!!
Both apartments are expensive, but if you can bear to share with another person, the second unit is a reasonable deal. It overall has more space.
I can understand bars for safety outside the windows - but several of the bar assemblies are ugly with an overlapping center section that unnecessarily mars the view. I realize that this is an older building, and I know some people like the visual appeal of a fireplace - but if I was remodeling that building I would delete the fireplaces to add a sizable amount of floor space and open up the main room.
I agree about the fireplace, it really stuck too far out into the room.
Almost worth it for the view and the excellent radio and TV reception up there.
That Dyson hook was probably for a Dyson hair tool, not a vacuum 😂
I was just looking at the tiniest apartments in Japan, so this doesn't look that small. Nice compact apartments. But.. 4900 dollars a month?!! Many Americans don't even make that much per month. Sure, you have all these restaurants and stores right next door, but if you're spending 4900 on rent, how much money do you have left for anything else? I guess you'd have to eat at McDonald's and Taco Bell, because you couldn't afford a fancier place.
690 Apts.. Landlord making over 40M, a YEAR, with over 4-6K monthly.. so I'm curious..
At those prices.. why no in Apt. Laundry??
That first apartment is fire ! I've seen such shitholes for 4k, that terrace is INSANE, what a place ..
aint never seen no under sink dishwasher before, that is big city stuff.
To me this is crazy, I live in an 1240 square feet apartment by myself in the heart of vienna, so the first district, and I pay 1305 dollars a month. However it is worth mentioning that the apartment would cost 3045 dollars a month, I just got a „friends&family discount“ xD.
Saw you in the subway today. You were very nice. Thanks for the advise.
Hello, for what is that Metal in front of the Wjndow at 00:06 sec ?? Ive seen it sometimes in Groundfloor n sometimes in upper Floors
You have to make 40 times the rent, which means 248K a year with a 700 or better credit score. You can also own a Million dollar mini mansion on long island and build up your net worth, but having both is the real dream!
This guy is so excited by Macys 😅
That 2nd place with two bedrooms, since I live by myself and IF could afford that stupid rent, it would be pretty dope. I'd have my bed in the small bedroom, hell all I do there is sleep/change clothes/stare at my phone trying to fall asleep lol. The kitchen, well I'd cook in there and have a big ass table for friends to come over and enjoy a meal. The big bedroom, that would be the tv room/den.
I guess if youre born and grow up in a city like that its normal but I can not imagine living in a place like that
Hey cash on a Sunday thank you lord 🤣🙏🏿😃
I could neverive in a place like that for that amount of money. That's insane.
When I was your age I started losing my hair bad too ! 🤣
Don't worry, it just gets worse! 🤣
I Love your work young man 👍
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I like the Harold apartments very lovely 👌👌👌👌👌🌸
I like both apartments!
I'd take door off hall closet and put a desk..lol
Thankful I left the city in the early nineties. The writing was on the wall. No place for a craftsman artist like me anymore Unless you want roommates for the rest of your life.
He would say yes to a 4th wall too 🤣
I delivered door dash to this building before
This haircut is fresh 👍 makes you hip and cool. Keep it. Or at least make it a baseline for whenever you get a snip snip.
How is a 10 x 8 bedroom, big? Lol! When you live in NYC, it’s amazing how different the definition of “big” is. I appreciate this channel because I now feel like my little house is a mansion.
You'd need to put a loft bed in to get any floor space.
Also one drawer in the kitchen = "plenty of cabinets!"
I was raised in the country. Forgive my ignorance. What's a city bicycle? Is that different from a regular bike, or is that a bike the city provides to rent? Maybe I'm overthinking this 😅.
For this part of the town it´s a good price devided with other people.
Speaking of eBikes that become available to others as soon as you dock it. Your city has been on the news lately.
Big difference one year makes it's nothing like that now
Not a fan of pedestal sinks…you always need under sink storage and counter space!! I would never put one in my living space!
Jesus. Two months of rent at that second place would cover an entire year of my house payments for my 1800sqft 3-bedroom house in North Carolina. And the utilities for the year. With money left over to buy new furniture.
Very nice for the high earner couple with $250 to $300 income
Cash i have a terrable fear of hights when ilookdown and im on a higerfloor it makes you thing suppose i slip and fall so i never go higer then the fourth floor fo nothing you must come down to me nomatter what likw now your showing high floors like you do alot i dont watch i fill like i might slip lots of people i talk to say the same thing lucky cash youdont have that fear. Smile love all your shows and yourfamily trips im 77 your show is fun thanks
Nice work - a little bit sarcastic, but entertaining.
During these days, who wants to live and work in NY? ARE YOU KIDING ME?
Marc Messier. The bald headed Ranger.
I love this. I wish I could afford it.❤
Wait, are you serious?? I pay $900 per month for a bigger apartment, and it has actual full size appliances, and much bigger bedrooms. This is insane!
in my city $4900 will give you a 5 bedroom home in a good Neighborhood
A 5000$ FOR THIIIIIS????? NOT EVEN COMPLAINING ABOUT THE SIZE BUT LOOK AT THE BATHROOM WHAT THE ACTUAL
That really is one of the best all-around deals I’ve seen in NYC. If I had a 12 month gig for great money I could live there for a year. The recreation area/ outdoor deck and transportation convenience really add value to the price. Within minutes you could be sitting on a train and on your way to Boston,Philadelphia and anywhere in New Jersey.
That looks like hell on Earth to me. I would hate to live there.
These were fun to look at. The prices are out of this world tho...whoa! I guess it's once again all about Location...these do have that in spades. A millions Jobs in that 'hood too, if ya wanna work near home....just sayin. And the most fun part was the Ginormous Closets
The title of the video is misleading. By NYC standards, that is NOT a tiny box apartment at all. That apartment is HUGE. A box apartment in NYC literally is one room and the bathroom is usually shared with other people on your floor.
Chicago city is very clean hardly any trash on thr ground trash bins on every corner and it doesn't smell like shit either unlike New York
Friedmans is SO SO GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Since you say you lived in this area for 7 years where did you live and how much did you pay?
I would love to live in the country, but close to a big city. The country can get very boring in wintertime.
Prices are outrageous
Strange, I expected to see a "tiny-box" apartment - means a small one and was first confused, until I read what it meant to be. 😊 If money isn't no problems for you, you can effort this. Greetings from Belgium. Gine🙋 ❤️🙏
I would like to see the views after dark.
What happened to the tiny apt?
