Great! If it's not raining it's no training!? I love the English sense of humour. Thanks for the nice impressions my friend. Cheers from the cold mountains of Austria, Helmut
Oooh that sounds like you've got a headwind going up that? I'm going to attempt it tomorrow, but was unsure how bad a 10mph headwind would be. Bearing in mind I just stick it in lowest gear and am happy with my 7mph uphill lol
Hello my friend, I would simply go for it !. I cycled up here tonight on a 40 mile local training ride and it was tough ! Even the descent down Blackstone edge was hard going but you can't beat the charm of this place and it's natural wild beauty. Let me know how you got on Treguard ..
@@MrDazP1adv3ntures Hi, no thanks for the reply. Tbh it felt sheltered going up for the most part. It was only when I got onto the tops that the wind became a bit stronger. Really nice climb and great views to the sides, but the views on the tops were a bit too flat (nkt great for photos 😄). The locals seem very friendly and joke about how far you have left to go. Tbh I'm never going to be quick; built more for long distance at a slow pace, and I'm happy with that 😄
@@treguard1982 It's all about getting out and going at your own pace Treguard and most of all enjoying the great outdoors. I just love how it's so wild and open up there. It's even better on a cold dark Decembers night with a howling icy cold wind and zero visibility other than your bike light lol. Thanks for the reply and I hope you have another good ride out on the next one.
You know this place as well as I do Adrian. I kind of love this climb in a weird way. It's always a challenge and one to get the heart and lungs going depending on how much you can be bothered to turn the pedals. Today was tough and just as hard on the Blackstone edge descent .
@@MrDazP1adv3ntures It's probably my most ridden route, it's never the same twice with the weather, I was slightly disappointed that when the tour visited they got it lucky with one of those rare tail to no wind days rather that a howling head cross.
The Pro peloton had lunch on the way up there from the feeding station zones and still got up it in 18 minutes. I need a 50 mph tail wind to get anywhere near that time and that's not taking into consideration the route they had to do afterwards. It's always a different ride every time you go up like you say.
Ha ha you did some detective work , good man. The only trouble with Strava is that it can reveal everything about your whereabouts, your work place , your equipment and your social circles with gps and google earth links. Over the years I have got loads of KOM's which again puts you right up there for people to click on your data so I make all the rides private pal. I know on UA-cam you're putting yourself out there too but you can control what you want others to see.
How beautiful is that! Wow. X
It's a nice part of the countryside but can be a wild place this time of year.

Thanks for watching . I will try to make a few more videos of my local rides to the cafes in the North of England.
Always enjoy the biking vids so more if possible 👍
I hope to do loads more of these kind of cafe rides. Thanks for watching.

Craggs tough on days like that, plenty of water running down those ditches down the side

What was the steepest gradient of the hill.
It's near the middle and for about 300 yards it's about 1 in 7 I think , it could be a bit more though.
excellent climbing
It was tough going today. Thanks for watching.
Ay Daz.... you could have taken your pan with you & checked out 1 or 2 of those water run off,s....yer never know !
It would have been a bit cowd for that today Dad'shat
Hi Daz, I've just requested to follow you on Strava ; - )
How did you find me ? I thought my filters were private lol
@@MrDazP1adv3ntures I searched "Daz", scrolled down and saw your youtube logo there. Inspector Clouseau would have been proud ; - )
