There are four different macrame wrap bracelet kits, each in a different color with a different button. For the kits, they just come with one button choice per color. But you could always buy the supplies separately and choose a different button.

Does it matter what size beads you use? Can they be bigger?

Feel free to experiment with different sizes and types of beads. As long as they fit on your cord, they should work.
