I guess I am one of the many who only came to know the name "Narvik" because we watched the movie on Netflix. When people think of Norway in WW2 they think of Quisling, the movie sets the record straight that not everyone just rolled over for the Nazis. Great tour of the town and how it stands today.
@@samsadeniz Norwegians had no problems with Germans; it's the Nazis they had a problem with. The government definitely took a passive stance on the Nazis in the beginning of the war, but were forced out of their neutral state once the German forces attacked Norway. You could argue that the Norway's neutrality meant they didn't mind what Nazi Germany was doing down in central Europe, though I personally disagree. Of course, you had individuals who were sympathetic of Nazi Germany. I feel like it's unfair to claim that the majority of the Norwegian people supported the Nazi Party's ideologies, as someone who knew people who were alive during that time in Norway, this is not what they described to me.
Sou brasileira do estado Pará moro em belem .perto da floresta amazonica .a cidade devoces e linda .e frio .a minha e um pouco quente .no verão. Deus abençoe voces
Both the municipality and town of Narvik has a very small population (in comparison to the rest of the world). The town itself only has 14,000 people living in it (20,000 in the entire municipality). This video seems to be filmed around mid-day in either early spring or fall, so it's fair to assume most people are either at work or at school (or home) (and also this is outside the tourist season ofc). That being said, as a Norwegian, I think it's fairly common to see almost completely empty streets all year round, no matter what town/city you're in, just like in the video lmao.
I love narvik sou brasileiro e amo este país no ano 1940 está cidade foi invadida pelo os maldivos dos nazistas se na época eu estive aí eu teria lutado junto com vcs i love narvik
I can only think of how many lives lost, how many life stories buried in these mountains

Norwegians had no problems with Germans. They were pretty supportive of their white supremacist ideologies.
