I have been trying to learn Zbrush and this tutorial was such a fantastic resource. I appreciate it acknowledges that the UI is not necessarily well-designed but breaks the program down and teaches a simple way to build a 3D character and helped make it clearer to use that has me excited to dabble more in Zbrush.
Man, this is such a cool tutorial to understand the new program in minutes! It's so rare that people on youtube explain so much crucial stuff just in a few minutes and in a way that makes you actually understand it! This is exactly that type of tutorial. Zbrush really seems "strange" as you said when first opened but after 5 minutes of your video I'm starting to understand basic stuff.
Thank you!! Super helpful video and easy to follow! It went into a lot of detail but also gave a broad view of the overall workflow to get a finished model.
UVs and Maps are a great candidate for AI as it is not easily understood when you are a new beginner. I would like the anatomy video as well as video on UVs.
I actually really like the displacement maps that come out of zbrush because of the 32bit ext option. And they look really accurate. I’ve never tried the substance ones. But maybe I should!
I'm confused as to why the retopology doesn't work when zbrush is mostly used for character creation. Why is it so expensive but you can't do things in it that free software can do. Not seeing how this is an industry standard

Love this! The textures are on point and really enhance the overall look of your model.

Great Video! Thanks!!
Looking forward to the texturing breakdown video in Substance Painter. Thanks :-)
Awesome
It could be great if you show how to work multiple softwares to create a character or model, like blender, zbrush and maya
Have you tried using the new crease UV function in Zbrush 2023 that allows you to cut those UV seams?
I'll try that out!
When i click "A" 14:13 mine is not like yours mine is low polygons and can't increase my subdivision.

Plzz explain anatomy for z brush in detailed sirrrrr
at 13:00 when i move the "arms" it pulls the shoulder joint? anyone know where i messed up?
Try making your brush size smaller. It will grab and move all of the joints that are within the radius of the brush
Nice Tutorial. I have always wanted to learn Zbrush but i don't have a Graphic Tablet yet. Do you suggest I could start with a mouse?
Pressure sensitivity is pretty important in zbrush. But you can always get started with a mouse. No need to wait!

Thanks for the video. Would you recommend creating the displacement maps in substance as well or is zbrush fine?

@@MikeSmith3D thanks for your reply. do you use both normal and displacement maps or just one or the other?
@@christophe_li For games and other realtime uses, just normal maps. But for film and VFX, I used both.
