Unfortunately... I remember being in the lunch text with that crew at WOH just a few weeks before the Dallas crash. What a loss on so many fronts. RIP AirCrew.
Yeah, it seems to be getting that way. Wish they'd bring in more GA and Experimental aircraft to showcase. It is nice to see and remember the WW2 aircraft, showcased again what we are flying now though. We think of them as primitive, but they were state of the art at the time...
Understand. Yes, some military stuff got pulled away due to tensions escalating in Middle East. Oh, and yes, $50 a ticket is getting close to a point of diminishing returns. As a volunteer, we get in for free, but I'd have to give it pause if I wanted to go every year, on my or families own. I'd probably decide on every second or third year.
Lots of people were there Saturday. The prime seating section shown at the beginning doesn't fill up until later because people are still walking around the static displays and vendors behind it. It's worth $50 just to see the blue angels in person at least once.
I rode in the nose of the Yellow Rose - been a few years back now… We were headed to an airshow, believe it or not.
Sounds exciting! Have a great time!
Getting the itch to fly again? It's in your blood, you can't get away from it... RV-12 time?
This ain't the same without Texas Raiders B 17

Hey, never said I was AWAKE at that time of day... :-)
Just Think About Getting a Few of YOUR Facts,,,, Right,,, Just a Few,,,
I said I stood corrected, I wasn't sure when I said it.
What else have I gotten wrong?
Thats not a B-29... That is a B-25.
Corrected!
Same thing every year also.
