  • In July 2016, the DOLCE SOUNDS/DULALI CULTURAL Group performed in front of the Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama in his capacity as Minister iTaukei Affairs, the Ministry iTaukei and iTaukei Affairs Board staff in the 'vakasenuqanuqa'. The vasenuqanuqa is a traditional homecoming celebration reserved for honoured chiefs and accompanying delegation. The celebration was in honour of the Nawaidina dance group who had represented Fiji at the FESTAC 2016 in Guam. The Nawaidina was an inaugural nomination by the Ministry iTaukei to the FESTPAC National Organizing Committee in Fiji to represent indigenous iTaukei sounds and dance, hence the Ministry organized 'vakasenuqanuqa'. The DOLCE SOUNDS/DULALI had assisted in preparing the Nawaidina group for its first ever regional representation stint. This event occurred to the backdrop of Great Council of Chiefs meeting house at Draiba, Suva. In 2012, the DOLCE SOUNDS/DULALI had represented Fiji similarly at the FESTPAC 2012 in American Samoa under a different name then, the Kabu ni Vanua.
