This lagoon and beach is public its only the bridge that’s private and your not able to use as that is owned by the hotel next to the BlueBay Grand Esmeralda. Love that bridge which stretches over the lagoon! Why do you think there is a problem with excessive seaweed growth? The water looks very clear near the shallows and relaxing. Thank you for sharing, my friend!
@@ryanr.8077 I suggest to should go to Cancùn, it’s Okk the resort great but the water not beautiful as cancun area. We just got back last month from Cancun we were at occidental it is beautiful I been there a couple of times and you can see those beautiful turquoise colors 🌊 😍 While at playa del Carmen was so much sargazo! good luck 🥰
It was a great holiday, one to remember. It’s a 10 hour flight from the UK and they are 5 hours behind us so it took a while to adjust with the jet lag. Thank you so much for watching 👍
I would say it’s roughly a 15 to 20 minute stroll you could do it in 10 mins if you were walking fast. The lagoon is definitely worth a visit. At the BlueBay Grand Esmeralda hotel the entrance by the pool buffet is the closest. You come out of the hotel straight onto the beach, turn left and walk until you get there. There is a hotel next door to the BlueBay and they actually own the beach. Don’t know what that hotel is called though 👍
It changes on a daily basis with the tide. Some days are worse than others.They are clearing it every day. There is seaweed floating but most of it was at the waters edge, it’s nothing major, you can walk through it and once your past the initial part it was fairly clear. The sand close to the water was not very nice to walk on though as it had lots of brocken shells, coral ect. So it was quite sharp without shoes. The further along you walk the better the sand gets. The lagoon seemed to be the place of choice for people swimming. We visit there regularly and is you can see beautiful water. Hope you have a great time if you are heading over there 👍

No it’s not part of the resort it’s just a part of the beach that anyone can walk along to.

We never heard or seen any warnings about that. Thankfully we didn't see any. Great place though.
