Goher and Atif were “Jal.” It was a two man band. Goher wrote the lyrics and composed Aadat, it was his creation. Atif sang it. A big dispute happened between the two, lots of bad behavior, etc. The band broke up. Goher recruited Farhan Saeed and Shazi to form Jal The Band. Atif released an album “Jal Pari” before they could release theirs - with all of Goher’s compositions (Aadat, Dil Haray, Woh Lamhe, Jal Pari, etc). Goher filed a lawsuit and won. Atif was no longer allowed to perform these songs in Pakistan......hence began Atif’s Bollywood career. He went to India with “Aadat.” But when Mahesh Bhatt found out about the lawsuit, he included Jal the band’s version in the Kalyug album as well to avoid a problem.
Farhan, Goher and Shazi has a devoted following as well while Atif became very successful both in India & Pakistan alike. A few years ago, Farhan left Jal to pursue new things. Now seemingly all 3 guys are friends and get along well with no controversies. Farhan & Goher sing AND act while Atif is doing his thing.

Atif Aslam , Gohar Mumtaz and Farhan Saeed was in a band called "JAL". The original song Adat was composed by JAL band. Then Atif Aslam left the band and formed his own band with the name "JAL PARI" and sung Adat - Solo version and it was a huge hit. Then Atif Aslam sung that song for Bollywood.
Banwaray and Adat was the song of the same album and "Har jaga hai JAL" was the title track of that album representing the name of the band back in the days.

I think u guys don't know about JAL The Band which is one of the GREATEST bands of Pakistan which consisted of Gohar Mumtaz, Atif Aslam & Farhan Saeed.
This song was originally created by this band and then when it became famous in Pakistan it was used in India.

Ok. Few things to clarify.
This was not made on Juda Hoke Bhi, from movie Kalyug, which you guys spoke about and which came in 2005.
This was for Aadat-Jal The Band 2004.
Now for all the debators for Aadat, Bheegi Yadein and Ankhon Se. The man who comes at the end of the video Goher, he was the one to give the idea of Jal Band and he went to Atif with a proposal for the same. Eventually they agreed and formed the band. Speaking of Aadat, Atif wrote this song (along with Ankhon Se and Bheegi Yadein side by side) and released it on internet in its raw form just, but when he and Goher made the band, both together composed the song, put some energy in it and released it again on a big scale, this time with a video (very few now on youtube, most of them edited with Farhaan who joined after Atif left Jal) in which they are singing in a warehouse. So this was about Aadat. Now after Atif left the band, he released the songs Aadat, Ankhon Se and Bheegi Yadein in his first album Jalpari (as he already had written them) , that led to a copyright war between him and Goher, the result of the case went to both of their favors as they released Aadat together so both of them have rights on it, speaking of Ankhon Se and Bheegi Yadein, Atif and Goher were again composing this song together, but as Atif left so again both of them had rights over these two too. Which is why when Farhaan joined Jal, they released all these three songs again as their own albums. So for all those who blame Atif being a thief for all these three songs, no one is a thief here. Atif wrote these three songs, but got help from Goher to have these songs composed on a bigger scale. Use your minds else for the entire truth watch the recent one and a half hour interview of Atif Aslam in two parts.

In this for the first time he revealed all the truths regarding these songs and break up from Jal. Goher too gave the interview on the same channel and he didnt say anything because he new that in the previous episodes Atif has revealed everything. I am not supporting anyone, I am saying to use your senses and stop arguing over these songs even today.

Aadat was written and composed by both Gohar Mumtaz and Atif Aslam and this song along with “Woh Lamhe woh Raaten” were first songs to be released by “Jal The Band” sung by Atif Aslam and Lead Guitarist was Gohar Mumtaz and Bass was by original third member “Nadeem Omar” ...
Atif left the band due to disputes with Gohar on management issues and persuaded Solo career after Gohar went to TV Show representing Jal and not appearing on live concert in Lahore which Atif done by himself alone and was succes as well , that was breaking point for the band and Atif went on to become a solo singer and made this song famous in Pakistan as well as in Bollywood ...
But we cannot take credits away from Gohar Mumtaz so this song is described as cult collaboration between both of them but Atif made it famous ...

This was "Rubab" the particular instrument which u liked Bagiya. If u want to listen purely Rubab then go after "Khumariyaan" band. u will find breath taking instrumental Rubab music. This band also played "Despasito" and "Game of thrones" title music on Rubab. I am sure u will love it. Highly recommended.

Aadat is originally by the band "Jal".... Goher Mumtaz is the composer of the song "Aadat" and "Har jagah hai jal" is also one of Goher's composition.
He's one of the best composer of todays era. Goher is currently the lead vocals for Jal the band, before that he was the lead guitarist and composer for the band. In starting phase of Jal , Atif Aslam was on lead vocals,then due to some internal conflicts he left the band, and then Farhan Saeed joined in as lead vocals for the band.... Farhan also left the band in 2012 to pursue his solo career. So leaving Goher and Shazi alone. Goher doesn't wanted to dissolve Jal , as many fans are extremely attached to the band....so he's continuing it alone, carrying the legacy and name and maintaining it..... Atif and Farhan are doin best in there solo careers.....
