My Alterra had an under carriage cover that is unable to go back on since installing the plow mount to the frame. Do you just cut the cover to fit around the bracket or leave it off?
Thank you for the awesome question. The plow mount should be mounted over/on-top of the plastic skid. In other terms the skid does not need to be removed for installation as you should still have access to your drain bolts. Keeping the skid in place helps to keep debris from damaging the bottom end. Do you guys have any tips or recommendations on how to get the blade to scrape the ground? Im using a KFI Sno-Devil plow system. It still leaves an inch or 2 of snow on the ground.
@@natesayre2739 You should be able to adjust the feet on either side of the plow to allow for the cutting edge to make contact. If you have your plow all the way lowered and your feet are still not touching earth you may have some binding in the plow mount. First I would take a look at the feet for adjustment.
