I had completely forgotten this original version. Now rewatching this choreography after watching the Olympic version so many times, I really have mixed feelings. Somehow the "original version" strikes me as more emotional, more sensitive. That said, I realize it is all about attaining the highest levels and chasing the points, even the fractions of a point. Either way, it was a tremendous program, requiring outstanding technical skill and first rate presentation skills ... and Tessa & Scott had it all. Bravo 👍👏👏👏 Thank you for posting this.
Yes I feel there were more slower moments that showed the storyline of Moulin Rouge better, but the fierceness/fireryness was more impactful in the Olympic version I think.
I appreciate the subtleties in your comment... and will just add my two cents to say that - for a dozen reasons - I much prefer the honesty, rawness, roughness, masculinity, tenderness, tentativeness, possessiveness, passion, and poignant ending of this version to that of the slicker Olympic crowd-pleaser.

Watching the video now I can say that they were still the best and greatest performers in the skating world. I'm still mesmerized how they executed difficult and unique steps.I would like also to thank their coaches who molded them where they are now. Hard work, dedication and love for skating were their keys to stardom and success. Tessa and Scot had dreamed of becoming a good skaters and that dreamed become a reality. Congrats fr. the Philippines.

I like this original version of Roxanne. It really shows that she was dying. But I like the way Tessa did the last lift better in the Pyeongchang version.

Incredible everything is incredible they are a perfect physical balance for each other and their movements on the ice take it to an unbelievably choreographed level of elegance grace and beauty of exquisite passionate movement. They create beauty and romance in motion. Why could they not transfer it into their personal life? Just not possible because it belongs in the world of dreams.?
So much speculation about their relationship but I believe they have had a passionate love affair for a long time and kept it as something only for them to know about. I think it ended around the time they had a 2 year break. She is very ambitious he wants to settle down they wanted different things. And she is very driven. Every aspect every detail of their lives was something they shared with the world but this they kept a secret it would have been destroyed along with their careers if the tabloids got hold of it such a distraction. Look at her face when she looks at him….that look she gives him.
I always loved how Tessa looks at Scott, especially in interviews. If you really look, I feel like they were sharing intimate moments throughout the years in their dances

This is there presentation of the program! They don't have costumes yet that fit the program. They used old costumes from previous programs.
