I ran winter for the first time this year, had a ton of fun! My pr for the 300 is 46.72, can’t wait to go back next year and crush that 😮💨💪 you guys did so good!!! Have an amazing season
@@kathryn_evans indoor was fun minus the cold, we don’t have indoor tracks in my county so we had to run outside. Sitting in the bleachers in between races was so not fun lmao
@@kathryn_evans Yepppp and this was a mild winter too, I think the lowest the temp went down to was like 20 degrees. My best friend who convinced me to join track told me about how last year they had to run when there was ice on the ground and how the boys would throw snowballs at each other 😀
Today I Have practice for the first time in a month because coach has been busy but I have been stretching and drinking water. Next week I have districts
Ofc! Try multiple events, don’t get down about times, practice hard, set goals for each race. Track is a mental sport, don’t get in your head. Good luckk 🤍
@@alyraye5392 Yessss definitely try as many events as you can. Sprints, distance, jumps, hurdles, anything you can to see if you enjoy it. I had my first season of track this year and i was so annoyed I never got the chance to try jumping, it looks like so much fun 🥲 Another tip, no matter what event you end up doing, going on long distance runs will help you out so much. I’m a sprinter, and my 300 time is not great (46.72) cause I just don’t have the speed-endurance built up yet. All of my sprinter friends who are doing spring track are doing the mid distance workouts instead of the sprinter workouts cause they help you out so much more.
@@kathryn_evans thank you and what you recommend on what to eat I was thinking about greens but I really don’t know , and I also hope you have a blessed day !!
You’re strong for running that 800m 😭
Just ran it yesterday at a meet as a freshman hit a new pr 2:45 my old one was 3:20😂

Don’t focus on times right now.. work on conditioning and getting in good shape then focus on speed. Your times will improve.
I run 3000 m 😭
