*everytime i watch a horst luening video*
*my wallet* : I'm in danger
Really funny, I was just going to go buy a bottle of this for my wife today because we were planning on visiting the Midleton distillery but can't due to coronavirus. really looking forward to this.
Drinking 2020 release right now, so smooth and fruity yet the subtle notes of spice remind you that your drinking whisky straight
youre not supposed to drink that man..its worth over a thousand euro now
its whiskey btw
Great video. Where do u get them glasses u are drinking from as I would like to buy some.
I believe it's their own design 😂, check the website
in Ireland its spelled whiskey
Also, may I suggest you also venture into Brandy tasting ? I can’t find any good videos on Brandy Tasting
I received a 1987 Midleton Very Rare Master Distiller bottle several years ago as a gift. It was actually re-gifted to me by a physician who over the years received numerous whiskies from his patients. Anyway it was the best whiskey I ever had. A 1987 bottle sold for the equivalent of $4,500 at auction recently. Very nice. : )
It's a masterclass of distilling.
Its €180 in Ireland!!! A better name for it would be Midleton Very Expensive. Too little at that abv for what you pay for what is a standard NAS blend. The best thing about it is the box. Tasty enough but not standout. Much better out there for a third of that price.
Word up brother. 300+ in Canada on average. I've thought about it when it was 50%off but goddamn. I can scoop two SB10 or a much better Independent Bottling of older stuff.
I find it quite pricey too for what it is, especially when you can get ~ 15yr old Teeling’s at cask strength from weird and interesting woods (Wonders of Wood) for 125€ or Brabazon series, or even a 18yr Bushmills for 90€
what makes this whisky expensive is, that its limited batch and its blend, which is every year little bit different. When you buy RedBreast for example, year by year, it will be all same. That makes this whisky interesting. Box is of corse absolutely amazing. I have now bottles from 2014 and once i will give them to my childrens
300+ at auctions already...
I knew that so i have 3 times the 2021 version... nice for the kids... one is for drinking :)
I love this whiskey but its very expensive
when you compare it to redbreast 12 and what that gives you for the price and taste redbreast 12 wins hands down
but yes i do like a bottle of very rare from time to time
Agreed 100 percent..
I have 10 bottles of 2017 if interested
Good video, nice guys 🙈
1,500 for a bottle? The most I spent on a bottle was 300 and then I went all Tommy Gavin on it.. I'm sure this s*** taste good though 👍
Brian Nation is leaving Midleton to work at an American distillery. Kevin O’ Gorman will take over as master Distiller
No age statement, low abv., too pricey- leave it to the collectors.
Ben, the horrible beard.......
Actually your video is good information. But try to do more interesting style ? It’s too dry. Haha
Not worth the money..
