Great tutorial, I like that it shows process in slow motion so viewers have time to understand and memorize the technique- previous videos that I watched were awful, speedy and interrupted to rather show the final result but not the particular stitches.

How do you know how many times to wrap it around needle

That really depends on the length of your stitch. I normally try to evaluate/guess it by eyes. I add wraps around the needle until it appears to be almost equal to the length of the stitch I am going to make. Practice few more stiches, eventually your eyes will be used to this guessing. Hope my answer will help you. ❤❤
