I love these little beauties. I wish I had the whole set. I used to swear by the Moras but after a few years of not being able to get the detail I need I find that these small pocket knives to be the bomb. I want them all... lol. Great knives, .
GREAT VIDEO!! Just discovered the hobby that'll work for me! My favorite knives are Buck, but I will definitely pick up a few "Whittling knives From Schrade.. Guys listen to this old timer;; EVERY FATHER/GRANDFATHER needs to past down a few "Traditional" Keepsake Items before they leave this earth.. That's when your family misses you most. . I'm not a wealthy guy by any means, but I have firearms, and a few beautiful knives that hopefully my family will appreciate and enjoy after I depart. . .. It doesn't have to be a '57 Chevy, although that'd be terrific, just a few small items to remind everyone you were here. . :)
DJ F I just discocered thid hobby that works for me tol...because one of the American icons, buck knive 110 attracts me. Can I use a hunter knife to whittle? Have you tried?
Haha... I have the same ideas of having some family keepsakes. My dad left me a longine watch. I already bought a zippo lighter. But nothing beats something you created from scratch and leave it for your sons and many ...grandsons to come.
Good for gals too. I loved my Grandpa. He was a willow cane and Badlands Cedar carver. Albert M. Sherva was his name. Lost him in the early years. I still remember him deeply....and his knives.
Schrade is seriously the best brand of knifes I am crossing my fingers to get these my son would be extatic to get this for Christmas! Crossing my fingers for the 440T!
I love them all! All of them are classical beauties! This is one difficult decision ;) After watching the vid couple times my choice would be the 340T. Thank you once again for the chance to win an outstanding product. Big thumbs up for Schrade Knives! You are absolutely awesome!

@@kj-marslander as much as i wish i could buy a American made schrade knives, the fact is i can't 😔 and getting them second hand is not worth it since im in Europe. Im waiting for my first 8ot to arrive. Apart from few china made Buck's that i got out of curiosity. All my traditionals are USA made and preferably in carbon steel. But im not going to pass the schrade experience just because they are foreign made.
I know I'm late but I'd love to learn to whittle! Love front porch sittin and I'm sure whittlin would just complete that! That 9OT looks fantastic! And a very fine knife! Glad I found this video to know what a good one would be for me!!
this is a great video, never did really understand the difference, love to whittle and carve but obviously have the wrong knife. I have a wider blade, so good tip for the smaller blades. thank you.

Dad used his for making hot dog sticks, fishing poles, cutting twine everything and anything including cutting meat for lunch in the field, yeah his knife has served him well-time for a new one for x-mas
I use a Buck 119 for whittling. Also use it for camping, cooking, and pretty much everything else. Just pick a knife that you’re familiar with. Been carrying my 119 since I was 16, so I’m very familiar with it. That’s what matters most.

These are some beautiful knives. My grandpa who is now 103 years old still has his Schrade pocket knife.
