Serena and Eva Azderaki's blossoming "friendship"

- We all remember Serena's meltdown at the 2011 US Open final. Eva Azderaki was the chair umpire for the match and was the one who called a hindrance against Williams. Serena then went on to call her "ugly on the inside" and warned her not to "look my way." Flashforward to yesterday's Qatar Totel Open quarterfinal between Serena and Petra Kvitova, and we have Azderaki in the chair again. Serena clearly thinks the world of Eva. The point and then the eyeroll is priceless. It reads: "This dumb bitch over here."

Oh asderaki....Serena didn't even have the strength to deal with this one...she's like "ugh....this bitch"
"Damn bitch you're job is to watch the ball and the ball was right in front of you"- Serena
"You called it in? I challenge." Oh Eva...
Hahahahaha, I loved the roll eyes hahahahahaa
I love how that ball was SO out on the Ump's side of the court and she continues to show her incompetence by calling it in. WOW. Kvitova's face is like, uhh what's going on? even I knew I hit that out from across the court.
See more of her incompetence in 2015 us open men's singles, she was TERRIBLE
@Marcia Emily Gunawan Let idiots talk, mate; they don't know what they're talking about. Also is funny the absolutization of a single situation made by this "YoursTruly": how can you call out concepts like incompetence for ONE mistake? I'm not talking just about tennis, but this can be applied also in general, in life.
@@marciaemilygunawan9726 bro this was one of the match where she got all her calls right!
What you mean terrible?
@@riahreginald that was written in a sarcastic note
08 Aussie, 08 US Open, 11 Us Open, a few others, and This call. Eva Asderaki was wrong every single time. She has it out for anyone on tour with the last name Williams.
what was the 2008 US open call? The Aussie one is in reference to their doubles match?
I will never understand the need for people to take to their laptops and use such hateful language against people they don't even know. Serena is a wonderful person who at times boils over, like the rest of us. A fair comment is to say Serena Williams doesn't do anything for me. An opinion I'd respect. But to take to racist remarks? Uncalled for.
The glistening sweat on the nice set of ta ta's looks quite good. :-D
Four honest thumbs up and a few thousand pretending to have not noticed
Thanks for sharing.
Azderaki actually has a reputation for being a good (i.e. accurate) and fair umpire - but i can see why Serena might get 'testy', given her career history with (poor, incorrect, line-calls etc. etc.
On the other hand, M. Alves (see the US Open 2004) has made a shocking number of bad (incorrect) calls... and still umpires matches today...
Victoria Azarenka once said:
"How can you be still here sit on that chair after all that you made? How is that possible?” (May, 2013)
... and few other players have said similar things to her..
DWL.
When you overrule a line call right in front of you and you're wrong, you lose some of your reputation for being accurate. The chair is only supposed to overrule when she's absolutely sure. Bad miss.
Christopher Rourke Very true. She's usually spot on. People are acting like umpires aren't allowed to make mistakes. She even apologized to Serena at the end of this match. Sheesh.
Jamaal A. Bivens ..and i think that Serena gets along just fine with her, too.
It is a different story with Ms. Alves [ ~ the US Open 2004 ], an umpire who, quite sadly, holds little esteem on the Tour...
Her errors in that quarter-final match were just that more egregious.
Some umpires, as with players using the Hawk-Eye Challenge system, are far better at seeing the court than others....
Exactly, Asderaki is the best umpire.
thanks for the upload!!! haha
LOL!!! loved when she rolled her eyes up.
Did Eva make a wrong call
What is happening in this video.
Can someone explain
Agreed!
I'm completely convinced she has it out for Serena. That ball was so clearly wide it's ridiculous. She needs to be striked from Serena's matches at this point. My God.
I just think about all the crap Serena has had to endure her entire career. And she has to worry about stuff like this to boot. That ball was clearly wide and you over rule? Then if she shows emotion it's ridicule. This *has* to mess with her psychologically. But she has risen above so much. Truly astonishing!
Hahahah Serena must have felt great!
When I saw this I thought: Uh oh.. LOL
that eyes rolling couldn't have been any worse than that lol
Dumb announcers. The point wasn't replayed -- look at the score. You don't replay a point when the ball is out.
You clearly didn't listen
were we really expecting intelligent american commentators? come on. from the land that gave us jerks like mcenroe and made way for modern day jerks like fabio fognini and benoit paire.
Ummmmm what exactly didn't I listen to? The announcer said "replay the point". The point wasn't replayed. Look at the score. It went from 15-30 to 30-all after the challenge, and then Serena served an ace.
This umpire just can't call a match... that was on her side of the court and she missed it by a LOT
You Love Serena Williams.
If she would, then poor younger or less ranked players, when they don´t have hawk-eye tech to help them.
Serena is the queen of tennis --- and everyone should love her!!!
Azderaki is simply awful at calling Serena's matches... this call was easy, and on HER SIDE OF THE COURT no less. Yet she falsely overruled... She should be banned from anything above the futures level, and maybe not even be allowed to call those.
i agree with you, except there was no racism there...
Well she made a mistake here. Besides that Azderaki is one of the best umpires out there.
She is terrible and she has a definite bias against the Williams sisters!
this umpire has good reputation, maybe she is a few from women umpire to does duty in atp master 1000
wow really ref. some refs need to be fined or something
She wants Serena!!
What amazes me is that players like Serena argue so much about a line call that goes against them, but when a bad call goes against their opponent, they just take it.Double standards!
Because they dont give a damn about what opponent is doing. They concentrate about themselves only. Everyone has this double standard. Admit it, for you you are the most important person. Even if you have girlfriend or have family. The people that place someone in front of themselves are either a mother or person in absolute love. Nothing else.
David M David please! You are overreaching!
You don't know what you're talking about, there have been times when Serena has called her own balls out when the umpire was wrong and let's face it, it's not your responsibility to call your own balls out. It's your opponents and the umpires.
On the contrary. I have rarely seen either Serena or Venus challenge! Your comment is without any foundation in fact, reality or truth.
Serena cannot stand her. That was way out! She knew damn well! That look from Eva when the hawk eye was in Serena's favor. Mad snotty smh. Rena knows the deal!
LOL Nice title. LOL
oh sure i've heard racist remarks about her too and they are disgusting - agreed
i just meant in the thread you replied to (no biggie...)
Eva Azderaki is the best umpire in tennis, just sayin.
If she is the best then I don't want to encounter the worst
Serena said that lady tennis players should be allowed to take thier shirt off on the court! Serena please spare us! Don't ever take your shirt off on the court!
Good eye, Serena. That alleged "umpire" must have gotten something in hers. Maybe the twit should wear Goggles. The brilliant Serena Williams prevails, thank goodness! If it weren't for the rank bigotry that was aimed squarely at Serena (and Venus), she'd already have easily won at least 24 Majors by now!
whatever. she was just causing a scene cos she was losing. challenge and move on. but no. everything about manrena and that planet of a brother of hers is over the top. from the C'MOOOOOOON'S after every other point to her/his arguments with players or officials over nothing.
No scene... wasn't even close to the line. The umpire was way wrong. Live with it or stop watching you stupid ASS!
she won this match and also did you not see that the ball was wayyyyyy out god
eva azderaki is by far the worst umpire i have ever seen... thr is not one horrible decision there are many decisions that r not just a fault that can happen.. she shouldnt be a judge at all anymore tbh
She's actually one of the best. You wanna talk about the worst? That bitch who umpired the Serena Capriati US Open match. She should have been fired.
jproxursoxoff
her name is mariana alves. she has a history of bad calls for men and women
roter13 I think even Azarenka (who of all people should not be lecturing any umpire but still) asked her one day how she still chairs matches with her reputation ;)
people make mistakes. it was a human error from the umpire and the lines people. serena needs to accept that and move on. typical overreaction from her.
Who's overreacting here, Serena or you? Serena asked the umpire if she overruled it, asked if she could challenge it and then did so. When the replay showed how far out the ball was, she rolled her eyes. The End. How is that an overreaction?
it's what i expect from someone who supports that ugly animal
Serena didn't overreact.
YOU MAD???
***** Not clueless. I was talking to the OP and agree with what you said.
