- Two days with shorebirds is always a pleasure. Even tho the first day was a bit frustrating. But thats the way it is with bird photography. But I was so lucky to come really close to the curlew. With the camouflage blind it came really close.

Great shots. I'm pretty excited that I almost have enough saved for a used 600 F4. No VR just the AF-S or AF-SII version.
Be careful before you buy your 600mm. Ask if It is still possible to repair at nikon services in your country. Too old camera or lenses are not eligible for repair.
@@thierrybervoets3604 They are both over 10 years old. I believe the AF-S II was made in 2007. It's the last of the non VR lenses

Fantastic images Trond. The blind really helps to get closer to the subjects doesn’t it. I’ve been trying to get close shots of Short Eared Owls lately. I haven’t got a hide but used the car and eventually got my shots after weeks of trying. Your passion for wildlife photography paid off - love the music that accompanies your footage. It pulls it all together.

At 10mins you ID the birds as Curlew but I think you will find that they were Whimbrel - smaller than Curlew with a shorter bill and dark crown stripe. That said I really like your videos.
