Due to COVID-19, the Government announced limits on public gatherings which saw the cancellation of some Anzac Day commemorations.
Because of this the ‘Driveway at Dawn’ movement was born - a symbol of national pride and solidarity during times of isolation for people reflecting in Australia and New Zealand.
Hear the stories from those who will be at the end of their driveways, observing a minute silence at 6am on Anzac Day.
Thank you to the ‘Aussies & Kiwis for ANZACs’ Facebook group for sharing their stories.
Across the country, the commemoration of Anzac Day will be different.
With state marches being cancelled as well as the nation-wise closure of RSLs, Australians will be provided with accessible content across the nation as well as ways to connect with important National Commemoration Services across all our platforms.

Here's to the memory of the AnzACs . Of the nearly 3000 native-born NZers that served in the AIF in the First World War. 13 of whom were native-born Maoris. And to the 850 NZers who died on Chanuk Bair at Gallipoli August 1915. Of whom 123 were native born Australians serving in the NZEF while their compatriots created the diversion at Lone Pine. Lest We Forget.
