@@nikitta1555 yes but they are completely correct in that you can't understand the depth of bts and why armys truly appreciate them the amount they do by just looking at the most popular songs, the most of the rest of the discography is actually what represents bts, the power of their songwriting and composition. i'd even argue their b-sides represent them more than title tracks.

ask yourself why music in a foreign language throw you off. we - people from not english speaking countries, are listening to your "english" music all the time and have no problem if we don't understand it, because music has no boundaries, if you love it then you love it. and if we want to understand it we just use subtitles and translations. it's that easy. but a lot of you native english speakers think you are superior for some strange reason. you don't need to emphasize that they are foreigners it's not a critique, just enjoy or don't enjoy their music/videos/performances

About the storyline thing, no body has storylines as amazing as BTS. They are following a storyline since the very beginning. You can't understand the storyline through one music video. To understand it you need to not only watch each of their MVs carefully, but also focus on every single detail, the name of the album, the name of each of the song, the chronology, everything. BTS is a black hole. You can't come out once you step in.

I think some Americans just forget from time to time that the rest of the world exists 😅😅.
If you are born in a country where English is not the native language you have literally grown up your entire life listening to music "in a different language", many times without being able to understand the lyrics. In Europe it's actually quite normal to hear on the radio music in Spanish, French, Italian...it doesn't matter in which country you live.
And English is actually only spoken in a handful of countries as a mother tongue.
So it doesn't cease to amaze me how some English speakers (mostly Americans) seem to have never been exposed to any music in any other language than English 😂, and they react to it like it's some kind of super weird thing to listen to a song without understanding the lyrics 🤣🤣🤣

    So a few things...
First: With BTS, the true magic is in their B sides. Album title tracks (like both songs you just listened to) are meant to have the broadest appeal so their sound is going to be a bit more traditionally "poppy". If you want to understand how BTS are as artists, check out some b sides (lots of people have already recommended some good ones).
Second: BTS is like a trifle (or your layered dessert of choice). There's a surface layer that can be take at face value (ie: Boy With Love = a song about love). Then, if you go a little deeper and read the lyrics you might see that it's not just about loving someone because of superficial reasons, but really wanting to understand someone and to appreciate all the small things that others might take for granted. Then if you go a bit deeper and make the Boy In Luv connection you'll see that it also shows growth from young boys with crushes to having a true adult relationship. And then if you go just a bit deeper...you're ARMY (lol) you know this song is for us and how BTS and ARMY are connected through the small experiences we share. All that is to say, you can be a casual listener of BTS and just appreciate how their songs sound, or you can do a little digging and discover how powerful their lyrics and messages are.
Third: As an aid to any lyrical digging you want to do, I will always suggest Doolset Bangtan (on Twitter, or she has a website). She is a great ARMY translator and she also adds cultural references or translation notes to help bridge the cultural divide. Of course there are a slew of great translators on Twitter, I just always come back to her.
Fourth: Lots of people recommended songs, I'm going to recommend a whole album. Love Yourself: Tear (in my opinion) is one of their best albums from top to bottom (Map of the Soul 7 is a close second for me). Sonically, lyrically, visually... it just has so much going for it, so I will always encourage people to experience that album as a whole.
Thank you for reading my novel, and thanks for your reaction!

UA-cam’s closed captioning is reliable as long as it’s not “auto-generated” (you can check by clicking the little settings in the bottom, right-hand corner and seeing; it should say if it’s generated).

I find it quite interesting that every “criticism” that you have for the videos you reacted to, don’t necessarily apply to their other videos. Such as when you said “there doesn’t seem to be a storyline” yet bts have a whole universe story line thing that runs through some of their videos 😂. I don’t mean this in a bad way, I just find it really interesting and cool. I recommend black swan, I need u and ON, I also recommend reacting to some of their live performances. They are well known for being AMAZING performers, such as the MMA 2020 and 2019 performances which went viral because of how extraordinary they were.
Also, there is Korean next to the English title of the music videos which is the translation/equivalent title in Korean, so they have different song names in English. I.e. the Korean name for boy with luv is “A poem for small things”. They just tend to have English names for the songs so that foreign fans can find them easier online and also so we can read them 😅

BTS right now are nominated at GRAMMYs for "Best Pop Duo/Group Performance".
BTS is the biggest group in the world with the five number one albums in US, three of which were within a year. They have two RIAA platinum album certifications. They beat Michael Jackson's record and Beatles' record, they won top group awards at Billboard music award, American Music Awards, MTV EMA, People's Choice Awards, awards at VMAs, they performed at Grammy's, they gave speech at UN twice. They are the first act in history to earn the top 2 best selling albums on a year-end IFPI chart (pure sales). And there is just a few of their achievements.
All seven members of BTS are very involved into creative process. Most of the songs are written by their rappers (RM, SUGA, J-Hope). RM is credited as songwriter in 171 songs, SUGA - 124, J-Hope - 112. RM debuted on Billboard Hot 100 Songwriters Chart at #3, Suga - at #9. But vocalists (Jin, Jimin, V, Jungkook) are participating in songwriting and composing as well. The members are also involved into producing.
BTS do a lot of different genres: Hip Hop, R&B, Latin, Pop, EDM, Ballads, Rock, etc. Most of their songs touch serious topics such as mental health and social problems. That's why the age and gender of their fans are very diverse.
    Some suggestions for your reactions:
    BTS - "Black swan" MV.
BTS - "On. Kinetic Manifesto Film: Come Prima" (they won "best pop" and "best choreography" at VMAs for this song).

Their official MVs have CC in english so you can turn them on to understand what they are saying.

Also, just an interesting thing as a non-English speaker, most people that listen to English songs actually don’t understand the words, lots of my friends don’t know what their favorite song means and are just listening to the music. Not to talk about older people that didn’t get to learn a lot of English in school, they don’t even bother to look up the translation. Nice! Loved the reaction! Boy With Luv is a call back to an older song of theirs, Boy In Luv. The differences being the focus of their love has changed over the years. Rather than being young school boys (when Boy In Luv came out) wondering how to ask out a crush, they are now men who have love within themselves, for themselves and for ARMY who helped them get where they are now. Their song titles usually have an English name on top of their Korean name, mostly because a direct translation isn't likely to sound catchy. For example, with Boy With Luv the direct translation is 'A Poem for Small Things'. If you decide to do another video on this, I would suggest checking out On Kinetic Manifesto, Mic Drop, or Black Swan. If you're watching a music video from the bighit youtube channel, you can trust the closed captions! I would also recommend checking out some of their live performances! Kpop groups usually have leaders, in BTS it is RM, one of the rappers. The leaders in kpop groups don't have to be the most popular member, they just need leadership. They actually have to lead the groups, solve conflicts, etc.

    - KPop mostly (not always) about sing, rap and dance. They dance seriously than boy band from US or Europe. BTS dances is one of the hardest in KPop.
    - BTS songs has deep meaning. You can trust cc in their official MV, because the Eng sub is from their company.
    - Chorus in KPop song frequently in English, so fans can sing together with the band.
    - Some MV has story, the other "just" dance.
    Please check another song:
    - Black Swan
    - Mic Drop
    - Dynamite. This is the first English song and the most popular one beside DNA and Boy with Love.

In addition to the many great comments so far, I'll add a bit of BTS background to kick you off too.
--BTS were underdogs. They clawed their way to where they are now. Their label, Big Hit, was tiny when BTS debuted in 2013, and so they didn't get much respect or recognition within Korean media because of media politics favoring the big labels. But they were innovative from the beginning with grassroots marketing through various online mediums, and that's what forged their strong fanbase. ARMY, especially those around from the beginning, can be fiercely protective because they had to be for so many years.
--Aside from social media, they have reality shows where they go on vacations together, a weekly entertainment show called Run BTS where they play games together or do activities and just let loose with shenanigans, several official documentaries from their tours, endless behind the scenes videos called Bangtan Bombs that show things like making music videos, them being silly backstage, etc. All the bonus material (they literally release some kind of content almost daily throughout the year) is why fans get so hyped about how BTS can bring joy to your life.
--BTS lyrics are almost always quite deep, even when a song might sound like a bop. Their mission from the beginning was to make music with depth about real life challenges that youth could relate to, including societal expectations, mental health, etc. They don't sing about partying, sex, very rarely swear (except in some of the rappers solo projects) etc., but rather focus on staying humble, relatable, positive, and motivational--even in their diss tracks!
--For several years now they've partnered with UNICEF on a campaign called Love Myself to address youth bullying, violence, and self-esteem issues. They have an album trilogy called Love Yourself and a lot of inspiring songs on this topic. They're truly the world's best role models.
That's scratching the surface, but it's a start! :-) Tell us what kind of music you like and we'll recommend songs from their super varied discography.

@@BenCooperMLM No, none of their BTS-exclusive shows are aired on Korean TV. In early years they would guest on Korean TV shows (called variety shows), which is common for idol groups to do, but after some bad experiences (like I said, Korean media favoritism is a whole thing) they started making their own shows instead.
All of their media is either on their UA-cam channel called BangtanTV, apps/websites called Vlive and Weverse, or some older stuff they no longer promote can only be found on DailyMotion. Vlive is primarily just for their live streams (they interact with fan comments and just hangout and chat at the camera) and their entire catalog of episodes in their ongoing show called Run BTS. Weverse has a few dozen recent Run BTS eps plus all their other limited-run shows (usually 8 episodes each) like Bon Voyage (vacations with BTS), In the Soop (COVID staycation with BTS), etc. Run BTS is free on both platforms, but other Weverse shows are usually paid content.
Run BTS is always a hilarious and often chaotic time, so if you want to see their personalities or just laugh your head off, check out classic fav episode 33 from 2017. www.vlive.tv/video/53320

RM aka Namjoon is the leader of the group, but unlike western boy bands, the leader isn't the most popular one but a spokesperson and someone who is incharge of maintaining healthy relationship between the boys and between the boys and the company they are under. Even if RM is leader, all of them are equal. BTS = All 7 of them💜

Since people already mentioned about subtitles, I won’t repeat it. I do want to mention is that BTS’ music is hip hop based but their songs are diverse. It covers many genres, which basically means there’s songs for what you’re in the mood for. They are at their best during live performances too. They can sing and dance so well live that some people were in denial at first.

BTS is a K-pop(Korean Pop) band made up of seven members, three rappers (RM, Suga, and J-hope), and four vocalists (Jimin, Jin, Jungkook, and V). They all write, compose, and produce for all of their albums, and their most recent music video “Life goes on” was even directed by the youngest member, Jungkook. BTS stands for Bangtan Sonyeondan which translates to Bulletproof Boy Scouts but it also stands for Beyond the Scene. They are also known internationally as The Bangtan Boys. This name is incredibly meaningful because they said that it is their job to shield the youth of the world from the bullets that society rains down on them. They debuted in 2013 under Big Hit Entertainment, which is now Big Hit Labels, in Seoul, South Korea. It was originally supposed to be a Hip-hop group but the CEO of Big Hit, Bang "Hitman Bang" Shihyuk, later decided to debut them as an idol group. Every member has solo work separated from the group. You should definitely check out some of their solo work, it is incredible. They were told that they wouldn't amount to anything and that they were untalented their entire careers.
There is no lead singer but there a leader who is in charge of leading the group and being the liaison between the group and the company. Rm or Kim Namjoon is the leader, a rapper, and a producer. Jin or Kim Seok Jin is a vocalist, the head visual, and the oldest. Suga or Min Yoongi is the main rapper and a producer. J-Hope or Jung Hoseok is the dance leader, a rapper, a sub-vocalist, and a producer. Jimin or Park Jimin is a lead dancer (he specializes in contemporary) and a vocalist. V or Kim Taehyung is a vocalist, visual, and dancer. Finally, we have Jungkook or Jeon Jungkook who is the main vocalist, dancer, sub rapper, center, and maknae(the youngest member). All seven members used to live in a single-bedroom apartment together, and even now after the extreme success, they have achieved they still live in a four-bedroom apartment and share rooms, even though most of them own their own apartments. The official roommates if you are curious are Jin and Suga, RM and V, and Jimin and J-Hope. Jungkook technically has his own room but he usually sleeps in one of the other member's beds. They say that it just doesn't feel right not being together and that they feel lonely without each other, Jin even compared the other members to his wallet and phone because going anywhere without them feels unnatural and makes him really nervous. They are all bonded through their hardships and are just a large family which could be partly because they were put together when they were teenagers. The oldest, Jin, being 18 and the youngest, Jungkook, being 13 when they first got together. Jin was 20 at debut and Jungkook was 15. To clarify BTS got together as a band about two years before they officially debuted. The older members literally raised the younger ones, they would take them to school, make them breakfast and dinner, help them with homework, etc. They attended Jungkook’s middle school and high school graduation. Along with Jimin and V’s high school and most of the other boys’ college graduations. In fact, Jimin and V(Taehyung) just graduated college with honors a few days ago. They grew up together and are a family in every way that matters.
They almost never talk about the normal recycled romantic love and breakup cycle. Throughout all their songs they preach self-love, self-acceptance, female empowerment, mental health, and they also speak out against social injustices and so much more. They believe that lyrics are one of the most important parts of music and they strive to connect with all of their fans through their music and lyrics even if that means jeopardizing their careers and backlash from people in power. They even have a fictional storyline that goes through their music videos called the Bangtan Universe aka the BU. This storyline is very extensive and includes over 25 MVs over almost six years, two books, a webtoon, a mobile game, multiple short films, and they are even creating a tv drama called 'Youth'. Along with their storyline, every single one of their albums follows the phases of life that the band members are going through at the time. For example, their first album '2 Cool 4 Skool' and it was about school, schoolboy crushes, unfulfilled dreams, the expectations of adults, and social pressure on youth and at the time of this album they were all still in school whether that be middle school, high school, or college, and their most current album, “BE” is about the pandemic and how they are getting through it and giving hope that we will come out the other side of this better than we were before.
They are also incredibly prolific. They have 9 studio albums, 3 single albums, 11 compilation albums, and 6 EPs. That includes 4 full Japanese albums, their native tongue is Korean. The total discography including solo works, collabs, and covers is over 300 songs.
They just got nominated for their first Grammy for “Best Pop Duo/Group Performance” becoming the first Korean artist to even get nominated in the pop category. In 2019, they become the first-ever K-pop band to be invited to the Grammy’s and the first-ever K-pop band to present at the Grammy’s. They will also become the first-ever Korean artist to perform a solo stage at the Grammy's. They have also dominated the Billboard charts with three number ones in only three months becoming the first Korean artist to ever get a #1 on the charts. Their song "Life Goes On" was the first song in history sung primarily in Korean to ever top the Billboard charts. They also held on to the number one spot for two weeks straight being the first group since the Black-Eyed Peas to do that, while competing with songs like WAP for #1. They even held the number 1 and 2 spot for a while, being the first-ever music act in history to do that. Let's not forget that they have spoken at the UN general assembly twice. Once in 2018 for their LOVE MYSELF Campaign with UNICEF where they talked about the importance of self-love and acceptance and then again in 2020 to give hope to the world during the pandemic.
While they are huge, I think it is important to mention that they are also some of the most humble people that you will ever meet. Jin, the oldest member, and a vocalist released a song called Abyss, for his 28th birthday, talking about how he feels there are people who more talented and deserving than him so he doesn’t feel that he deserves all of the praise that he is getting and it was eating him up inside.
Dynamite is their only all English single to date but please don't let that deter you. They have touched millions of people with their music and have used their success to help others. They give millions and millions of dollars to various charities and inspire their fans, ARMY, to do the same. For example, they gave $1,000,000 to BLM, and within 24 hours of the announcement, ARMY matched their 1 million dollar donation. We have also built a hospital in a place in need as a birthday present to one of the members, The Jung Hoseok Hope Hospital in Anhui Province, China. We have also created and donated to over 300 different charities in the last two years using an organization called One in An ARMY which is a fan collective of volunteers around the globe that have set up a way for fans to make micro-donations every month and help nonprofits all over the world.
They are not only talented but inspirational so please check them out a little more and thank you for giving BTS a chance and reacting with an open mind.

They have a leader, but he doesn't front more or less than the other members, it basically just means he holds the most responsibility. He's like the medium between the label and the band. He also guides the others in many situations and because of the deep trust, the members follow without question. It's a unique dynamic for any westerner to witness, I think. I certainly didn't understand it when I first noticed it, I just thought Namjoon (the leader) was an arrogant ass. Now I understand that him taking all the pressure of making decisions allows the other members more freedom to do their job (which only works that way because the members have the utmost trust in him). I'm honestly so impressed with the leader, he juggles keeping up with the members and all his leader duties so well!! Does he even sleep??

5:37 They are doing the wave dance to the molecule of DNA.

14:05 Boy w Luv is part 2 of Boy in Luv. You can check it out. BTS stands for Bulletproof Boys so the gun hand sign is BTS sign. If you watch closely to their introduction, You will see they put their finger hand sign up like a gun and introduce themselves.

He knew about captions, but he said he didn't trust UA-cam's auto-translate feature...and with reason - it stinks. He didn't realize that BTS MVs include translations that can be trusted. It was just a part of the things one learns when finding BTS for the first time. As he gets into reacting to BTS more he will also learn that most lyric videos are rushed jobs that also aren't good sources for translations...and that Doolset Bangtan and maybe a couple of other translators are the best source for translations except for the BTS MVs which are subtitled. I would add for Ben's sake that there are a lot of volunteer ARMY who translate for the benefit of non-Korean speakers into languages all over the world. They translate live streams, song lyrics, Weverse posts, tweets, interviews, behind-the-scenes and dance practice videos, and more. Because of these wonderful people, translations of pretty much anything originally in Korean and said or written for public consumption by a member of BTS can be found if you look hard enough. As you go forward, adding "eng sub" to a search phrase can be helpful.

Every Kpop group has a leader, but the leader is more like a team captain than like, main star of the group. In BTS all 7 are like the main stars and can hold their own in solo work, but choose to stay a group and focus on their work as a group. (They’re almost at their 8 year anniversary) The leader is more responsible for speeches, making sure everyone in the team is getting along and doing what needs to be done, and help communicate between the band and the label. It’s more of an official role than being the front man of a traditional band

SO! Some context for these songs if you are interested :D DNA is the first title song for their Love Yourself trilogy. DNA (part 1) is all about falling in love, thinking that you are ment to be with that person, that's what the universe want, it's written in your DNA. Then, it goes into Fake Love (part 2), where you discover that you are not yourself with that person, you are wearing a mask. Finally, IDOL (pat 3) is were you decide to love yourself first, before anyone else. Each part (album) also has a solo song by one of the vocalist. Serendipity (part 1), Singularity (part 2) and Epiphany (part 3). There is also Euphoria which is a song about all those themes.
Boy with love is a love song to ARMYs. It's a flip on their earliest song Boy in luv. It is in their Carl Jung Map of the soul inspired series of songs and it is about the persona, the you you present to the world. The music video is actually inspired by a movie (that' why there is a movie theater) : Singing in the rain. I know you spotted the lamp posts :)
I hope it helps you graps the concepts better! Those are their more pop sound songs but it's still more complex then they appear to be.

English captions on UA-cam need to be differentiated as follows:
    1. (English (auto-generated)) = NOT acurate and false because google is just generating random subs by listening to word
    2. (English) = Accurate because the channel that uploaded the video also added the subtitles which means someone typed them out and translated everything

BTS backstory is very inspirational if you get to know everything they've been through. BTS started formation in 2010 with its leader RM and the final member Jimin joined in 2012. BTS officially debuted as a group in June 2013. There are 7 members (3 rappers and 4 vocalists). Jin age 28 vocalist, Suga age 28 rapper, J-Hope age 27 rapper, RM age 26 rapper and leader, Jimin age 25 vocalist, V age 25 vocalist, and Jungkook age 23 vocalist. If you really want to know BTS story watch the Most Beautiful Life Goes On A story of BTS by the channel the asian theory. The video is kind of long but ARMY will watch anything no matter how long. But it tells you how BTS came together and how they got to where they are today. They are nominated for a grammy and will perform their first solo stage for the grammys this sunday. I really hope they win. BTS have only 1 song completely in english which is Dynamite. It was their first number 1 on the billboard hot 100 and it broke the record of the most viewed video on youtube in 24 hours with 101.1 million views. Also they recently were on MTV unplugged and performed Fix You by Coldplay which is obviously all english and their cover of it was beautiful. Also keep in mind only RM speaks english fluently in the group and he learned english by watching the show Friends. Even if you don't like BTS music they are still amazing human beings. They are so humble, kind, funny, smart, and charitable. Hope you will react to more BTS in the future. And don't be afraid to ask questions. All BTS fans want is for reactors to be open minded and respectful because so many aren't, so thank you for being both.

The Korean title of this song is literally translated as "A Poem for Small Things", and the lyrics are about wanting to know everything about the person you love, all the little things that make them who they are. The English title, Boy with Love, comes from the refrain in the song, and is also a call back to one of BTS' oldest songs, Boy in Love.

All their music videos are connected to one big storyline actually. For boy with luv, it looks all bright and happy outside the theater but in Black swan, the interior of the theater looked dark and lonely, and the lyrics said "No ones told me how lonely it is up here." Fame brings money but it also takes many things away from you. If you watch more videos, you'll notice that they are all connected somehow

Yes you can actually use the subs on their music videos. RM is the appointed leader for BTS. Kpop groups always have someone in the group that the company appoints as the leader of the group. They have a wide range of different style songs. Some I recommend are “Fake Love”/“War of Hormone” (which is an oldie but a goodie in my opinion)/“Not Today”/“Magic Shop” live with Eng sub please💜💜💜Welcome to BTS Army

Bts does have a leader and they actually have spots for each.Namjoon is the leader,Jungkook,Jimin,Jin and V are part of the vocal line. And Suga,Namjoon and Jhope are the rap line.Their tittle tracks honestly doesn’t represent how good their music can be I recommend listening to their b-sides and looking for their lyrics.By the MVs their music might seem like it doesn’t have a deep meaning but most of their songs are actually lyric wise very very good and they use word play a lot

As you look at more of their stuff, you'll realize they're very versatile. There is a complex storyline that runs through a bunch of their MVs. And often in order to fully understand the meaning of the song, it has to be taken in context with the rest of the album or album series. Can't wait to see more reactions

I found it so funny how you said that the DNA dance is sort of like High school musical🤣, I would be going ooff of my head if this was a person who hates them or who has like watched them more than 3 times, however, we're all good. If you want to check some songs with AMAZING choreography, I suggest watching ON, Black Swan, Mic Drop (dance practice), Fire, Not today, Intro performance trailer and concept trailer. If you feel like you want to listen to songs that have beautiful meaning, I suggest, "Butterfly", "2!3!", "Magic shop", "Mikrokosmos" and "Love myself". Definitely put on subtitles that way you can see the lyrics to the songs. If you want an introduction to them watch, "Who is BTS" and "From nobodies to Legends", they are both very helpful videos. Hopefully you see this, and take this in.

And, of course, it is always interesting how people in the United States are fascinated by the existence of a language other than English, mainly related to music, even though literally the whole world listens to music in English, and the vast majority do not speak English. and doesn’t understand the lyrics at all.

As first reaction it was nice one👍I known that many had gave you recommendations in comment but personally if anyone ask me who is bts ? What l can try listen about Them l will not be able to answer especially if I don't know the music tastes of that person since bts in term of genre Theirs are Very divers :hip hop.. Pop..ballads ..RnB...Rap..acoustic... EDM.. so her is some advise to you :
1-for me you can't judge or know Bts by just listen 3 or 4 songs esp not just by most popular ones .or some MVS depending on UA-cam views No..,I would say IF you want to discover Bts seriously listen to 2 o 3 albums>like whole bts album with each title tracks( not just MVs )by order .l think it would be good experience in term of music productions vocals/rap but also in term lyrism Thiers albums are composed from several parts with mix of ;group ,sub units, solo members songs. All connected with each others with important concepts it's like a well-written novel having introduction, development, twists, and conclusion it shared a compelling story. With meaningful deep relatable messages Here is site were you can get some informations about bts Discography since 2013 :bts.fandom.com/wiki/Discography
You also need to watch theirs live performances 💖
2-for language in theirs official MVS it fine you can turn eng cc but for other songs. Don't just look at .any lyrics videos or some website like genius lyrics .No .Cause there is sometimes wrong translation .that don't convey meaning when it come to Korean languages > do use :doolsetbangtan.wordpress.com when it come to bts lyrics for theirs group as well ad Thiers solo work > it best reference most accurate translations( there some explanation and info notes about Korean words play metaphors nd messages of songs)
3-there Are 7 talented passionate hardworking artists debuted in 2013 : 3 rappers producers , songwriters so there involved in making their music but also for other artists >they had theirs solos mixtapes + 4 vocalists( they also participate in co-producing writing. .sometimes editing..) >two of them had upcoming solo album +their are amazing dancers. ...as persons Thiers are so humble
4-their are loved by millions for many raisons but one of the main one it's cause They want their music to inspire change motivate people and spread positivity.,challenge societal stereotypes, they also tackle a lot of issues taboo that relate to anyone such as mental health, suicide, depression, addiction, parent abuse , anxiety, differences between the old and new young generation, corrupt , academic system nd teaching people about self love and self respect , self care. Social problems..that's why there fanbase is huge from different races ages genders ,Bts even their name have meaning "Bangtan "means to be resistant to bullets, so it means to block out stereotypes, criticisms, and expectations that aim on youth like bullets, to preserve the values and ideal of today’s generation. ,..
5- you can watch some video intros about them :this is bts introduction part 1, kpop vs bts,Most beautiful life goes: story of bts ... You said in beginning it will be high quality videos cause of course they had a lots of money ...yes you right since Thiers are now one of the big artist in world but. .let me tell you 10 years ago when they debuted all of them(7) used to sleep in one bedroom to live in dorm like studio... Big hit Thiers label in past was considerate very small entrainment company. Close to bankruptcy ... nothing in front of what's called " big3" in Korea the three big labels.(Sm,Yg,Jyp) That rule have power in whole music entrainment industry since 90'> all artist.Kpop artists that were from those companies have 80% chance to be successful.while the ones from other labels have only 20% chance .>so bts background. ..rise . in the industry locally in Korea or internationally was really really differents Inspirational journey

i'd be really interested in seeing you react to the music videos but like, with the full knowledge of the lyrics. i'm sure ppl have already mentioned bts mvs have full professional captioning - honestly it feels a little like there's a layer of understanding that can't be penetrated because of that. also, their chain link is a double helix thing, bc it's DNA! i think it's easier to tell in the live performances.
i started listening to BTS in august, so i'm relatively new as a fan. i'm actually here from the BTS grammy reaction video - i know you watched it bc you were recommended the lives. i'd recommend watching the comebacks for more choreography/live vocals commentary (although the comebacks definitely aren't subbed) - that's how i started getting really into the music, especially bc you can hear their vocals really well in the lives

So, when I first got into BTS, I really didn't care for DNA...the lyrics are beautiful, though, and the song has weirdly grown on me. Boy With Luv is still not my favorite...on that album, it is the only one I sometimes skip. I prefer their darker, deeper stuff and their ballads. Unfortunately some of their best songs aren't their title tracks and don't have music videos, so a lot of reactors never hear them. Of the title tracks that do have MV's, though, I echo those who suggested On, Black Swan, and Fake Love. Fake Love in particular is one of my favorites. Just.....please put captions on, lol. Their lyrics are pure poetry.

BTS has a pretty diverse discography so there will be lots more you should see. Also personally I started following BTS not just for the music but for the lyrics and meaning and message in most of their songs...you should definitely watch with subtitles on unless they say auto-generated they were added by the creator of the video Also there are stories in most BTS videos and lots of hidden meanings if you know where to look...the thing with the BTS stories is there are layers...the lyrics of the songs through an album set (usually 3 albums in a set) will tell a story through the album. Then there is also a fictional movie like story that goes through many of the Music videos visually but also relys on a lot of symbolism and themes...it includes notes and webtoons etc and can be intense. What I find most interesting in watching people newly react to BTS is that they end up listening to BTS's most pop like songs rather than their much more Hiphop based songs. You should certainly listen to some more songs and try to find more of a mix to see the range on genres they use.
