It really was. They were a band that united the genres despite having more emotional lyrics. When they played at a local festival, I will never forget all of the hardcore, punk, and metal crowd I had been in all day watching motion city and singing along with the band, the emo kids, and the pop kids. Like everyones guilty pleasure
Justin went from being a drug addict, going to rehab and then becoming sober all in the time span of creating that record. The whole story is in the AP Mag where they were on the cover. Goes into depth about what happened. Crazy stuff but its good to see them still a band and Justin seems more focused and well.
So many of the songs from this album really hit me in the feels. Hold Me Down and Time Turned Fragile will always be one of those songs that just makes me stop, no matter what I'm doing. True appreciation for this album
I feel the reason this record is SO legendary to me is because you can tell Justin is going through some shit. And you feel it. As a fellow person who's gone through some shit, this record really speaks to me and means the world to me. I wonder if Mark knew it might be like that at the time?
I am deeply saddened watching this. This is my favorite band of all time, and I want more then anything for them to come back together. This is their Magus Opus IMHO. I have a tattoo in their honor. I miss them so much.
Justin, bro, the fact that you said, 'Danny Concannon', is just a perfect example of your radness. Thank you for the many years, the shows, the music. All of it. It was a pleasure to listen. . . I hope things work out for you and CJ Cregg.
Oh the nostalgia! These guys and this album defined some of the most fun days of my life. I love rediscovering this music and feeling very young and free again lol.
Everything Justin writes just speaks to me....he puts crazy emotion into every song he has. There are never any filler lyrics. And musically, these guys can put a hook to anything. Criminally underrated band, one of my Top 5
Lol man their amazing x3 it was kinda eerie sometimes when I would discover a new song from them and its like hes like singing about literarily parts of my life but also made me feel less alone
I met Jesse when they came to Seattle. Jesse, my friend and I got a room at the Hotel Max downtown after one of the guys from Snow Patrol passed out drunk from us partying all night. The next day we drove him up to Vancouver and got to go backstage and meet Tyson from the AAR, who was wasted. The second time he came to town we all met up and I ended up hooking up and spending the night with someone's roadie(?) on a tour bus... hella cringe! Haha, but it's all good, great memories!! Jesse was super nice and not creepy at all.
can someone hug me please? i cant bealive there breaking up! i didn't know they were doing there farewell tour till last month cuz i hadn't listen to them in awhile! i read some where that they from Minnesota (tho that could be a lie!) and that's where im from! it makes me sad to see them go. )^:
Commit this to memory will always be one of my favorite albums. A true classic.

Reminds me every bit of my high school days. Amazing memories with this music
Totally agree, my fave album by them. Pretty interesting to hear the story behind it.
I love this record to death. It's the album that put MCS in my top 3 favorite bands

Can we have one more tour so I can see them live? Just one.
Your wish has been granted
oh my god, if you know the song in the background, it's incredibly hard to concentrate, because you're singing along the whole time.

Erin Akuma Don’t you worry person from two years ago, they are reuniting. And they are from Minnesota too.
I’m seeing them in Minneapolis next month! Super excited for the show.
Justin is my spirit animal.
Ive never heard of the band until 5 minutes ago, but *what are these facts?!* - my toxic trait

why is this always in my recommended video list? it only has 9k views and I don't even listen to this genre of music.. xD
BeatsByMirez because this is one of the best bands of our generation
You got a pretty awkward public twerk playlist though. Could be that.
