- Bishop T.D. Jakes and Dr. Marquis Boone have teamed up to present to you "Yolanda DeBerry", the winner of the singing competition show “The Gospel”. Hailing from Jamaica Queens, NY, Yolanda comes from a family of musicians. She found her passion for Gospel music when she joined her church’s music ministry as a little girl. On the show, she spent 8 weeks training and developing as an artist. Ultimately, she took home the win and will be on her way to being the next big thing in Gospel music!
“Yoli" is that talent that has been groomed in the shadows and comes to the for front ready. She is that talent that you waited for, that talent that allows her life experiences to fuel her gift of singing. I’m excited to work with her,” says Marquis Boone of the Marquis Boone Music Group. The Gospel chronicled eight episodes as contestants competed for a national management contract with T.D. Jakes’ "Dexterity Sounds" and Marquis Boone Music Group.
