Evidence shows that Sans was originally a Royal Scientist, but was later put as Royal Judge by Asgore, and was disguised as a Sentry in: Snowdin, Waterfall, and Hotland.
How he was put as Royal Judge? No f***in' clue, all we can guess is that Asgore saw what Sans is capable of, and his unique passive of Karma damage, being really good for fighting people that are dangerous with high amounts of LOVE.

This is the first one in like a year or so that I've enjoyed so much. The characters weren't made to be overly Canon so it's easy to see the reactions which is nice and what I liked when people started making these (plus when you make them look Canon in gacha they don't look very good I don't care what anyone says it's hard to understand their reaction that way, they look better drawn) and you used videos I have not seen people use In fricken forever like when they started making undertake reactions. This brang me so much joy I was happily yelling and screaming of happiness so thanks for making it. I wish more would do this.

canonically, Asgore is aware of the resets, he doesn't really remember them, neither does anyone but flowey (they just get deja vu, or like sans can tell by your expression when he annoyed you by killing you) Asgore knows when you die: when fighting him when you ACT and tell him he's killed you however many times, he nods sadly, unsurprised and knowing.

I think he is aware if the save files since no doubt he would have had to have fought determined humans in the war but I don't think he knows about the actual resets like sans and flowey do

I was just about to comment that. In the asgore fight if you die to him and come back you can tell asgore that he's already killed you and every once in a while of deaths asgores reaction changes. At first he nods solemnly. But nonetheless he is aware of the fact that frisk and come back from death.
