What is ROBLOX? ROBLOX is an online virtual playground and workshop, where kids of all ages can safely interact, create, have fun, and learn. It’s unique in that practically everything on ROBLOX is designed and constructed by members of the community. ROBLOX is designed for 8 to 18 year olds, but it is open to people of all ages. Each player starts by choosing an avatar and giving it an identity. They can then explore ROBLOX - interacting with others by chatting, playing games, or collaborating on creative projects. Each player is also given their own piece of undeveloped real estate along with a virtual toolbox with which to design and build anything - be it a navigable skyscraper, a working helicopter, a giant pinball machine, a multiplayer “Capture the Flag” game or some other, yettobedreamed-up creation. There is no cost for this first plot of virtual land. By participating and by building cool stuff, ROBLOX members can earn specialty badges as well as ROBLOX dollars (“ROBUX”). Hmmm. Could you link a screenshot? I might be able to help. I didn't do any lighting or anything special really, so I'm not sure what could've went wrong.

This was a great tutorial. I always did a cut, copy, paste on the roblox video of my character then opened into photoshop, trimmed and used magic wand and cleaned up edges. This is so much easier and clearer and better. Thanks

Just dowland blender 2.79b or blender 2.78
just look for newer tutorials
version he uses: download.blender.org/release/Blender2.78/blender-2.78c-windows64.msi
download an older version of blender if you are struggling

for everyone who is watching in 2020 blender v2.83
once you've imported your OBJ file, press the ball with the shading at the top right.
if the texture is not working still, select your character, press the ball at the bottom right with the shading (a different one) then press "new".
where it says "base color", press the circle next to it and then find "image texture". press the button that says "open" and then find your folder and click the png.

If you are using the new version of Blender and you don't know how to get the background transparent, go to render properties, then shadows, and then under the film category, you can chose the transparent option.

Thank you so much! I've just non-stop watching this video to make models! But the first time i made one when i 0 it deleted it. And also, anyone whos struggling with the 0 key heres another way:
Step one: click/hover the top "View" button on the bottom on your screen.
Step two: click the "Camera" button.
Step three: press f to p̶a̶y̶ ̶r̶e̶s̶p̶e̶c̶t̶s̶ move around with the WASD keys or middle scroller thingy.

If you're using a mac keyboard, make sure to go into 'Files' and under you should be able to find 'User Preferences'. After doing this a little window should pop up and you'll need to click the tab 'Input' and tick the 'Emulate Numpad'. After this is done mac keyboard users should also be able to press the numpad 0 and continue following the tutorial.

I'm not sure if anybody else was having the issue with the "0" key. If you don't have the 0 key on the side of your keyboard, there's still a way to fix it and use the camera angle.
When you're in the program, go to "file" at the top left of your screen
In the dropdown, there's a "user preferences" option, click that
After that, some more options will pop up... At the top there's an "input" option, click that.
Once you've clicked that, there will be an option called "Emulate Numpad", check that box !(make sure there is a checkmark in it)!
Then you can hit "Save User Settings" at the bottom and then close out of it.
Assuming you've done all of that correctly, you'll be able to use the "0" key at the top of your keyboard for the camera! I really hope this helped some of you, I was struggling with this issue for about half an hour and had to restart what I was doing. Even though this tutorial is like 2 years old the tutorial works flawlessly I would recommend downloading version 2.78 of Blender because it matches the version that Kreek used in the video and it dosent have that much bugs either and with this tutorial you can also render other characters from other games like Fortnite, PUBG, etc etc.

For anybody who is on mac and is struggling with going into the camera mode, go to the bottom of the screen, and click view. Then go to cameras and press active camera.

This tutorial can still apply to modern versions of Blender as well! I use 2.90 and I think I'll try this when I'm done with the model I've been working on!
Hey @KreekCraft! You probably won't see this, but I am struggling to do this on the latest version of blender, it has none of the same ui that this version that you are using, can you remake this tutorial, as it isn't helping me when it goes into blender.
If you have blender 2.8X then you need to press SHIFT + ` (accent grave) to be able to move your camera
Now I have to watch it again when I wake up because it's 12:49am right now
You guys you don’t really need to do this, go to ur profile go to the spot that shows it avatar let it spend, right click, then when it’s at the spot you want click save and it will save as transparent
