For those wondering why the stadiums are empty, Most Ghanaians don't even know something like this is going on, you can literally go to the street and ask the average Ghanaian about African Games and they will not know what you are talking about. I don't know how this games was marketed but it was not marketed well to Ghanaians.
The organizers did not involve the public. I had to struggle to get the schedule and even that I did not Known the opening ceremony until it was under way. Ghana is about politics and the minister of sports is incompetent. The current president is a despot and his party people are more interested in pleasing him than the public. So your observation is right. The stadium is empty. It is also a sign that the current government is unpopular and Ghanaians are voting with their feet too.
The VIP stand is full while the common stands are empty in a university campus. One university hall could have filled the stadium and that says a lot about the organisers.
This is certainly a.mazing to me but quite doable as there are millions of person's in Africa. Yes indeed, have your own Olympics and invite the world as spectators; BUT in- form ALL Africans. From the Diaspora: 👍🤗😊🌴🇯🇲
Its a free entry, why say something you don't know? They just didnt Advertise it enough. The marketers didnt do a good job on that. Its like apart from football Any other game is less of interest, and People are working too. One might prefere Watching it on internet.
It just the time it is taking place because the stadium is close to a university but the students have lectures to attend and people are going to work if it was after 5pm then there would be more people
Get lost. This is one sole individual recording, he wasn’t recording as a media personnel. Just an attendant recording the event so why he must get a special camera for that?

Noel please we are here to introduce African Countries not Black Africans, I think you know where Babados is and you know the distance between Babados and Africa. Relax and clean your Celibrium😅😅
They know there are Africans, and that is why they show up. Nobody forces them to go to AFCON and other Africa shows or programmes. They spew those Eurocentric stuff whenever they think there's an advantage in there somewhere for them.
Who told you that? If you would actually go there, the normal people do see themselves as part of Africa, and others just don't care, others as Arabs etc., just normal people like me and you. The media shows handpicked people who actually don't believe that, to portray a narrative that is not the mind of the population. All because we should hate each other..."divide and conquer" Every perception came through media, or the people who repeated it often enough, so that it became truth, even when it is a lie. And if anything, really question and make your research. Otherwise, love your neighbor as yourself, with this you are on the right path.
I hate to say it as I consider most of them African…but it’s interesting how North Africans only show up for sports and beauty pageants. When it’s about economy and trade amongst Africans, or anything that empowers the darker skinned majority of Africa they rarely ever show up, especially Tunisia and Libya!
Wow. Isn't it amazing that I was just thinking of exactly that. That the Caribbean countries and Haiti should all be part of this and the AU. We need to send a message that would shake the entire world, and I believe such a move will do that
@snowball6175 Really who said so you our Caribbean people has been going back to the African continent to live and they have been killing them so am saying African continent has never seen us as Africans so that's my view and am sticking to it

Most people in Ghana probably can't afford to go to the games which is why most of them probably don't even know they are happening or exist .

Ghana should never again bid to host any African athletics competition what a letdown. No hype at all😢
They spoilt the coffee!

damnnn look at the lack of African supporters.. if the games meant that much to them it would be sold out.
Really?? Is that the only measure of importance?

Ghana, this was a let down 😢😢😢. Empty stadium, low energy
Black participation in South African sport leaves much to be desired.ANC government is fast asleep.
Eritrean 🇪🇷🇪🇷
Why?. The place is almost empty ,is the ticket too expensive?
Ghanaians are thinking of butter and bread issues not this. We have televisions, we will watch them from our workplaces and homes

Thank you
What happened to the diasporan.NOT COOL
Algeria,Tunisia,Moroco and Egypt should not come to this event because they consider themselves Europeans.
