When he said he was going of to Judea to take care of King Herod I immediately knew he was the link from the Hidden one's to the Levantine Assassin's that Altair would later transform.

I can't be the only that thinks Kawab becomes Balthazar in the future, right? Let me explain:
Balthazar is one of the Three Magi that visit Jesus 1-3 days after His birth and give Him three gifts - gold, frankincense, and myrrh (representing Jesus' kingship, divinity, and eventual death respectively). Balthazar gifts Him the myrrh. Now, while these all mean something in Christianity, they have totally different meanings in the AC universe - Caspar is a Templar (kingship = order), Melchior is a Sage/instrument/Isu related (divinity = divine powers), and Balthazar is an Assassin (pretty on the nose).
Now, how does this connect back to Kawab? I'm glad you asked.
By the Hidden Ones DLC, Kawab has grown into a spiteful young man, and after getting his ass beat by Bayek, decides to become a Hidden One (Proto-Assassin). If you talk to him after the epilogue, he explains that he plans to go to Judea to look into King Herod and how he's treating the people (Spoiler: really badly). King Herod was the same king in charge during Jesus' birth, thus making him Kawab's target. Moreover, Kawab states that he wishes for a new identity, thus hinting at a name change. Also, since Kawab is still young by 38BCE, that makes him alive 37 later, which makes him just the right age to be Balthazar.
Case in point: Kawab changes his name to Balthazar and goes to Judea, becoming its protector. Then, he catches word of a Promised King to be born and unknowingly joins a caravan with a Templar and Sage to offer this King (and His family) his specific type of protection. When Herod's men arrive to capture the Nazarenes, they are already gone by accepting Balthazar's help, who escorted them to Egypt, which is an Assassin haven thanks to Bayek. Finally, he assassinates Herod by 1 - 0BCE, which is when Herod's reign ends.
This is beautiful but how do you know that Casper was an Ancient one and Melchior a Sage? It is true and known that Jesus has come in contact with a Sage but how do you know they are them?
@@fabiopoma8645 Well, I went by each wise man's gifts. Gold is usually associated with kings and power, so the order connection is simple. Frankincense has been used in religious practices for millennia and thus is associated with the divine. So, the connection to a Sage is natural.
Also, being a practicing Catholic, I learned the meanings behind the Magis' gifts early on, which gives me an advantage in identifying these things.
Also, I still believe that God exists in this world, and before anyone attacks me on that, you first must learn that you shouldn't take the Story of Creation literally. You have to remember that there are two authors of the Bible: one human and One divine. So, the story of Genesis was used to explain to people +2,000 years ago how humans came to be without being too complicated.
Okay, this is canon.
I really wished they used Egyptian voice actors, the accent is wrong but still it's so beautiful and Bayek's voice is still amazing
Kawab’s so cute as a kid
It’s great expanding Kawab’s story, showing Kawab grow up with revenge on his heart during the dlc play. However it confuses me that Kawab grew up so fast since The Hidden Ones DLC takes places only 4 years after the main game. Or am I mistaken?
The main game actually spanned form 49 to 43 BCE. So after the ending for 4 years, Kawab actually grew up to his 20s.

@@ChromeMan04 Sort of, Bayek's encounter with Taharqa and Kawab was about 49 or 48 BCE. The Hidden Ones begins in 37 BCE so yeah.
