Klagenfurt am Wörthersee from a drone.
On our way to Italy we stopped in the charming town of Klagenfurt. After 27 years we return to this place. Then we stopped at the Camping Klagenfurt am Wörthersee campsite. With each subsequent visit to Austria, we like this country more and more. Smiling and friendly people, order in the streets, carefully restored monuments. Beautiful, turquoise Wörthersee. The city is called the pearl of the Renaissance; Italian architects designed it over 800 years ago. The largest city in Carinthia and also the state capital. Different cultures and influences come together here.
Lake Wörthersee can be seen from the A2 motorway towards Italy. The city of Klagenfurt am Wörthersee is located on the eastern edge of the lake, on the northern shore - the towns of Pörtschach am Wörther See and Krumpendorf am Wörthersee, in the south - Maria Wörth and Reifnitz, and on the western edge - Velden am Wörthersee. The groundwater table looks like a blue lagoon. We managed to get our feet wet. The lake lies at an altitude of 440 m above sea level. and is an extremely clean lake.
