Your pronunciation of Tarpon is so cute. The locals say it like TarpIN not TarpON. That makes this video all the more precious. To this day, whenever someone drops something, I'll say "Opa!" I've since moved to the mountains, but sure would love to have some spanakopita (spinach pie) right now, yum! Downtown Tarpon Springs has a lot of cool history, eateries and shopping as well. Happy Travels! :)
I have learned to ask a local how to pronounce a town's name rather than assuming 🤣 I haven't had spinach pie since this video and I'm craving it again 😋 Thank you very much for watching! 😃
The custard that you wanted is called Galaktoboureko. Galaktoboureko, or Greek custard pie. It is my favorite Greek dessert. The chocolate cake was just that chocolate cake.
I truly enjoyed your video. I visited Tarpon Springs and the Sponge Docks every summer in the 80s and 90s with my children. It was always lots of fun. Thank you for the wonderful memories. Yia sou!!
LOL, you are too much!! Of course I would be honored to promote your stunning talents on how to best showcase each of these lovely and inviting destinations!! And OMG the food!! Who wouldn't want to order TWO of everything to have for not just lunch, but later for dinner too!! And of course editing would drive your appetite up!! lol Thank you Christine!!
Oh my goodness Christine!! The sea sponge facts, the little town's history, the shrine of St. Michael and so much more. I'm not trying to impress but you should really check in to a City's tourist center and use this as a "demo" video (another great video was on Dunedin, the sauce) You are the best "Traveling Ambassador" that they would be so grateful in having your expertise in displaying reasons to come and visit. Remind me not to watch your videos on an empty stomach! 👋😷 I miss the good Greek cuisine and I'll have some soon, but not yet. Thank you and Safe Travels. 💗 -Frankie G.
You sure know how to find the fun places to visit! I’m a sucker for sweet treats and that chocolate mousse looked super delicious! Same for the sandwiches! Have fun!
I think you were looking for Galatopoureko (custard wrapped in filo) and you got a chocolate mouse instead. Glad you found your spanakopitta (Spinach & fetta wrapped in filo) though. I am Greek and each time I am in central Florida, I make it a point to go to Tarpon Springs, because it does feel like Greece. The only place outside of Greece that feels that way. Most of the people there come from the Greek islands of Kalymnos and Chalki
I already give it a thumbs up before I even watch. You don't understand how much I look forward to your videos! The serotonin in my brain shoots through the roof lol Keep it up!!
Hi Christine, as always your visits to those lil shops and the foods has my tummy growl for some. I have to pause your videos to see all the wonderful shops you visit, they are amazing. I so look forward to your vlogs and the places you go to, however I now know to watch on a full tummy.😀 Take care and stay safe.
I used to love visiting Tarpon Springs as a little kid. Such a cool place. And I LOVE Greek food as well. I'd be in heaven! Enjoy your stay in the area. It's actually pretty nice there.
@@ChristineMeachum Lol, yes, definitely a difficult long drive 🤣 I lay awake sometimes dreaming, wondering if I could ever travel and experience Europe the way you travel the USA. Imagine car camping for Oktoberfest, or wine touring Italy 😍
Another great video, I live on the east coast of Florida, now I am tempted to definitely pay a visit to the west coast & eat some of the delicious food you introduced & who knows perhaps gain some unwanted weight, haha !!!!
You are the culinary guide Love the food you try Hopefully soon I'll be traveling soon Love your content Keep up the great work Question how do you get around the copyright with background music in cafe? Also have you thought about a live stream that people can contribute Stay safe and keep on traveling From Michigan
Hi 👋 I was not able to get around the copyright with the background music in the café. I didn’t even know that was a thing when I filmed it. I’m still allowed to post the video. I can just never receive ad money from it if my channel is monetized down the road. Lesson learned though! I would like to do a live stream when I am better at being on camera without messing up my words. I like the safety of being able to go back and edit for now lol 🤣 Thanks for the support! 🙏
I've read the other post about an issue with "Copyright" with music in background. If I understand correctly it was at "Chalkis" place. I've yet to do the video editing stuff. But I will look into it and learn it. My first thoughts were to try and resolve it by "muting" the sound byte, inserting "closed caption text" (maybe copy it from the "CC" on UA-cam and then splicing it in. Possibly inserting an "audio track" so it's not just text without sound and inserting one of your handwritten notes that it was "dubbed" per copyright issue. Anywho, just a thought. I hope your having a wonderful day.
@@ChristineMeachum Thank you Christine. It would definitely be a place to re-visit to recreate another masterpiece presentation. Just for the delish chocolate yum yum. I'm checking out Online Skill Share platform. I hear it's the ticket for the "how too's" on video editing for Vlogs. "smiles" be safe on your travels. - Frankie G.
Another item I'm just now looking into is "Monetize" a Channel. I'm sure there are plenty of restrictions UA-cam uses to hold down revenue payouts on channels. But there is always a solution and workaround. So many of your videos would definitely get an increased share of "views" if awareness is provided to those various Cities you've showcased. Again, I'm not sure how you go about getting your channel monetized. I'd be more than happy to be your liaison and reach out to the Chamber of Commerce or Tourist Bureau of said cities and make them aware of those gems you've produced and uploaded. The views would be a bounty. As for Tarpon Springs (copyright music) I'm also confident they would be more than happy to provide a benefit to you (patreon) to show their thanks for that masterpiece. And there is always the possibility of revisiting and recording a new one. Just some ideas. Regardless I'll always support your decisions 100%. Kind regards Christine. Safe Travels. -Frankie G.
Wow those are some very good options! Thank you for all the thought you put into those! I’m only focusing on this channel very part time right now so it’s not the right time to pursue that level for me but I am so grateful for your willingness and suggestions!🙏🙏🙏
@@ChristineMeachum You are most welcome. And I totally agree on your focus with your channel. When the time is right works. *smiles* I hope you have a wonderful and safe weekend. 💗 Kind Regards - Frankie G.

Love the sponge docks. Proud Native Floridian here! That sandwich, I found to be oh so yummy when he spoke of the ingredients.
