All My Children - 2002 - Marriage Proposal on Valentine's Day

All My Children, 2002, Brooke is distracted at work because Edmund is a no show, and it's Valentine's Day. Edmund meets with Aunt Phoebe's personal jeweler to pick out an engagement ring. Jamie gives Edmund his blessing. Meanwhile, Maddie lets it slip to Brooke that Edmund has a surprise waiting for Brooke at the house. Brooke agrees to keep it a secret between them. When Brooke returns home, Edmund decides that things are going a little too smoothly, so he literally sweeps Brooke off her feet, and takes her to the beach. Edmund pops the question. Yes. I agree. Brooke, Edmund and their kids would've made a great family until the writers had to ruin it by bringing Maria back. Edmund should've stayed with Brooke.
