Determining the oldest language in the world involves a complex interplay of historical, linguistic, and archaeological evidence. Here are a few contenders often cited as some of the oldest known languages:
Sumerian: Sumerian is generally considered the oldest written language. It was used in ancient Mesopotamia (modern-day Iraq) and the earliest Sumerian texts date back to around 3100 BCE. Sumerian is a language isolate, meaning it has no known related languages.
Egyptian: The ancient Egyptian language, used in the form of hieroglyphs, is another of the oldest written languages. The earliest known Egyptian hieroglyphic inscriptions are from around 3300 BCE.
Akkadian: Akkadian, a Semitic language, was used in ancient Mesopotamia and is known from around 2500 BCE. It eventually replaced Sumerian as the spoken language of the region, though Sumerian continued to be used in a religious and literary context for much longer.
Tamil: Tamil, a Dravidian language spoken in southern India and Sri Lanka, is one of the oldest continuously spoken languages. The earliest Tamil inscriptions date back to around 500 BCE, and classical Tamil literature dates back to around 300 BCE.
Sanskrit: Sanskrit, an ancient Indo-European language of India, is known from texts dating to around 1500 BCE, although it likely has older oral traditions. The Rigveda, one of the oldest known texts in Sanskrit, is dated to this period.
Chinese: The Chinese language, with its earliest known form being Old Chinese, has written records dating back to the Shang dynasty around 1250 BCE with oracle bone inscriptions.

Pure blanket nonsense, there are countries here that are between 10 and 500 times younger than their own language.

Pretty inaccurate. It is a shame to publish videos with so numerous and blatant inaccuracies. Not serious at all. And you call this a data channel?

@@andreamessiasgomes7118 , I know about Indian hyper nationalism lately, and in so many other places, like China or Brazil (where even the "left" is hyper nationalist, to the point of paranoia and wanting to have nuclear submarines). It is good to appreciate and even fight for your own culture etc, but another issue to take so much pride and dream of power.
The thing is, to boast about Sanskrit and Tamil, he didn't need to talk rubbish about so many other languages.

Hindi is >1000 years old and Urdu is 800 years old. Please do deep research.
The first humans settled in Iceland in 1000AD then how did Icelandic become 1800 years old???🤔🤔
Sumerian is extinct so it doesn't count.
Egyptian Heiroglyphics are 4500 years old not Coptic, Coptic is 2000 years old, but they still don't count since they are extinct anyway.
