- Two old classics finally back in the setlist : Bewitched and Dark Reflections, with Candlemass live at Dalsjöforsparken in Dalsjöfors, Sweden on August 18, 2012. Wonder how long it'll take before Candlemass will announce Mats Levén as permanent singer? This also features keyboard player Per Wiberg (ex Opeth).
Mats is so good and fits so well with everything clandlemass it hurts. One word: effortless.
According to setlist.fm the setlist was as follows...

Truths to tell, Candlemass has never had a bad singer, though many hate anyone who came (or will come) after Messiah.

This band really quits on top of their career. Its sad, But i really respect them for it. It means they doesnt do this for money, thats for sure.

Do you know the new singer in Therion, Thomas Wikström. Is actually an old Candlemass singer. Both of them, two of my fav' singers.

Has anyone seen these guys live these days?
my prediction is that once they've worn this guy out they will reunite with Messiah once more, despite what they've said" never again will we work with Messiah", I just know there will be at least one more final Candlemass album with Messiah on vocals.
8 years later still hasn't happened and doesn't look that way anytime soon. Don't get me wrong I totally think at some point in the far future something involving Messiah will happen. My guess is probably as a guest at a concert. Johan Langquist is here to stay for a long time and honestly I couldn't be happier.
Mats Leven may have sung in Therion but he is by no means an opera singer, but he is fucking awesome

In some moments he sounds like Messiah.

Mats is a fantastic singer, but he sings too rough... I miss the "opera"-vibes, that made Candlemass unique and very special. hm...

Indeed Robert Love was a far better singer for this kind of music.
