@@sebastallard to be honest I underestimated Lemmo. He plays those original songs over and over and I didn't see the other stuff he can do. He was really good. So was the bass player who is a real pro.
You guys are so awesome. Out of the hundreds of GOTD episodes i've watched this was my favorite lol you guys actually play well together and it's so entertaining to watch
@@vapporiesat3125 what's the point in a comment like that.. You hater. They were having fun and it was a great video. Post a video of you playing lol let's see how good you are
That, out of at least a couple of years of watching GOTD has to be my Favourite episode yet!! You two must have sold your souls to have those gorgeous Gibson's hoppin' and tearing up the place!! Killer homage to Cream, that O-B just a thumping and Mr Lemmo feeling the bluesy groove, all I was longing for was Joel in a red wig pounding out time on the drums Ginger Baker style! Jen, as always magnificent, you are one amazing manager keeping da Boys on the twisted and groovy!! Loved It!!
Michael & Todd playing Cream. The best. Great sense of the history of our music. I was born in 1952 and still play bass in a r&r cover band. I was 15 in 1967 and loved everything Cream. Sold my pre-CBS P-Bass to buy an EB-3 to play like Jack Bruce. Times have changed. When I was in my '20's, we certainly weren't playing Glenn Miller!
As I watch this video I'm sadden that I no longer have my EBO bass..the big difference was mine was in walnut..glorious. But not having been in bands for sometime I was broke and I sold all my equipment. And I tricked out my EBO with a second pickup in stereo. I miss that bass.Live and learn. This bass was a joy to play.Rock on....
I don’t know how to say what I am thinking. Time is such a fleeting commodity. We just got a snap shot of such a nice moment. To expect you guys to be here in a year or two would be lassoing your shooting stars. We have to enjoy it while it lasts knowing it won’t last forever. Great job! You made me happy and sad all at once!
I know this was supposed to be about the bass (which was great...very thumpy), but I feel like the tone of that SG in Lemmo's hands kind of stole the show a bit. Very fun episode!
I wish I was there to hear that live (listening on an iPhone doesn’t really do it justice) - you really captured that vibe perfectly. Well done, gentlemen! 👍
I can't be the only one who would unironically support an Edibles at Night EP/album. These guys are awesome! Great playing Lemmo, as usual, and the same awesome sound from Todd. Awesome episode dudes.
Ok... Ok ya got me... Absolutely phenom on the Cream.... Bass lines were terrific and the lead was spot on! But..... Jen and the laughs were . irresistible thanks a million .
Love it, Edibles at Night gets better every week, the manager Jen needs to start booking Edibles at Night to do music and comedy show. First stop Muscle Shoals, Alabama.
As a longtime owner of a terrible Epiphone EB-0, that dodgy intonation on the lower frets warms my heart. Forget Jack Bruce, there are some serious Watt vibes from 10:06-10:12
I played about 300 sessions with a 71 model. ( it was stolen)...I loved it. The engineers hated it and wanted me to use a pick most of the time. ( I hated using a pick) But on gigs , it would rock the house ! Super short scale and fast. P.S. Pleas teach the bass guy where the one is.... ( sorry)
Yes it has the Mud , all the appliances and fixtures in my kitchen were rattlin and vibratin , it brings the boom. It sounded good but sadly I hate red , and I'm not big on SG's either , I like the color of the 6 string and it sounded real good , not sure why I'm not into them. Anyway good to see edibles back , higher than kites and rockin out , cream is one of my favs so great GOTD.
I love Cream. That Bass sounds great. Lemmo was terrific.
Agreed! Lemmo managed to conjure Clapton's style easily. This guy can do almost anything!!
@@sebastallard to be honest I underestimated Lemmo. He plays those original songs over and over and I didn't see the other stuff he can do. He was really good. So was the bass player who is a real pro.
Agreed. You two are super together. Todd can play the living daylights out of the bass. And Lemmo is just so Lemmo. Great jam tonight fellas.

funny. i felt like it was their worst playing so far.

Song 1: Sunshine Of Your Love - Cream
Song 2: Crossroads - Cream (originally by Robert Johnson)
Song 3: Badge - Cream
Flat wounds? Some vintage tones you got going.

You can't play one of those without playing some Jack Bruce

One of the most badass bass tones ever - the Gibson EB0
One of the best episodes ever
Michael you are my favourite to Edible At Night
HELL YEAH! CREAM! I’m glad my recommendation for a Rick Bass was ignored...for now.
played one of those for years...awesome sound and feel.
I'd love to see the 1972 Telecaster Bass and the Gibson EB-0 side by side, to see how different are they when it comes to sound.
Gregory I have an EB-O with the Tele Bass pickup replacement, punchy with more treble, says Fender on the pickup of a Gibson bass.
@@digitalbrand5510 Thanks for sharing your experience!!
You guys sound great and look like you’re having a good time. I’m certainly enjoying these videos very much. Thank you both and thank you Jen! 👍👍✌🏼🎸
Those three songs are why I bought an EB-2 back in the 70s.
Rory Gallagher with Jack Bruce Politician has a iconic bass riff!
We’ve gone from “jazz cigarettes” to these guys... so excellent.. god bless America
The 'break' in Badge is one of the all-time great riffs. All of these are, actually. But that Leslie bit gets me every time.

Best episode yet. Nice thorough description of the instrument and the tunes were great. The bass sounds great.
Awesome playing Michael and Todd!
Gorgeous bass guys. The SG sounded pretty amazing too in Lemmo's hand. Great jam guys.
Love this one. Please make some Edibles at Night merch

Edibles At Night spelled sideways is Belated Insight. Or, is it Tabled Nighties? I get the two confused.
Especially if you eat too many edibles.😂🤣😅🤢🤮
More edibles should clear it up
Just one question, and I may come over as an idiot, but how do you spell something sideways? I honestly have no clue.
Elliott T Have another edible and head to the nearest Chinese buffet. 👍🏻
I thought it was Credible In Flight.
Hell yes. Gotta love Cream
Awesome..My wife and I love "The Edibles at Night". Thumpin Thursday was never so good as now.
The absolute best intro Eva!! Whoop whoop it’s edibles at night bring it on guys 👍👍👍👍
It would have been a nice touch to mention Jack Bruce wrote the iconic riff that Clapton made famous on a bass guitar.
Best one yet guys.
Lemmo is god! You've totally blown up thumping Thursday! Nice!
You guys are great together! Enjoyed!
I’m impressed
Outstanding instrument spec demonstration Todd... Your best so far......
Beautiful bass im a guitarist but that’s a queen in my eyes
Taking me back
This is the best episode ever
Looked like fun! That Tweedy SG is DOPE!!! That sounded so early 70’s!
Bravo! Some major cool spot on toning goin' on there.
We need a new segment with just Michael, Tod and Jane fucking around. You guys are killing me everytime
Great song from the way back machine. How about some Albert King he loved him some Flying V and his Born Under a Bad Sign album is epic.
You gotta say that the bass is so cherry that most that old fade to brown. Love that color scheme on the tweedy.
Superbly done
Chaps
I play short scale. I have to agree with you todd
Both of those are my favorite guitar
You have made me look forward to thumping Thursday more often now lol great job
My very first bass right there... a thumper indeed
You two are great! Those instruments are not bad either! Thank you for sharing

Jack Bruce was a god man. Happy to hear Badge, no band rocked like Cream did.
Yes i enjoyed the stuff he did with buddy miles on drums and buddy guy on guitar
Cool bass.!!
Sweet! 🤘🤘
Love u guys. Always fun and entertaining. #EAN 😀
Great way to showcase the bass, accompanied by a guitar. Michael Lemmo's playing was very good.

Are they flatwound strings on the bass??
