@@remaecs DHOF is the album I mentioned to Jorn when I met him and asked why he doesn't make more music in a similar style, and he told me "If you do what you have always done you get bored and want to change".
I know there was some political band stuff with Jorn & BT as well from what I read with the Section X album so I hope he understood how revered the Devil's Hall album is to me that I journey from Western Australia to Oslo to see him perform and get the chance to tell him how highly regarded that piece of sonic perfection is.
@@lordmatthewlukeobrien to be honest I think he cannot sing that difficult stuff and vocal melodies nowadays, plus the way he sings, he would blow up his voice, should he went on tour with such band. But it's a shame we never got to witness BT live.
@@remaecs He could sing it that much I am sure of, as having heard the recent album and a few live performances he sounds as good as ever.
Listen to "Master of All" by Destroyer of Death and tell me he has lost something in his delivery beyond the snake noises into wolf howl like on Shadowland "Please do come in" section
@@lordmatthewlukeobrien his singing style and difficulty nowadays has nothing to do with the diversity back in early 2000s and the stamina required. I'm a very big fan...but the Ark/ BT singing days are long gone. OK he can do a couple of songs live but not the whole album. That said I would still pay to see that live again... \m/

I was there and Jorn did very well. Just wish he wouldn't play so many covers. He has such an illustrious career. Would have loved to hear something from his Allen/Lande project and/or the Snakes.

Jorn is the modern day poet. Pitch perfect even in concert. Superb live Gibson guitars like the crunchiness on Blacksong. Top notch yayaya!

The longest Jorn concert i ever were were on, lasted 2.5 hours in a small place in Skien, Norway. It were a intimate concert for a few people.
Jorn is a solid band they deserve way more credit in the hard rock- metal scene. His originals rock so hard and he doesn't have to rely on covers.

Word here: This singer should be singing for Yngwie Malmsteen, Poison, Winger, Skidrow, Impellitteri, Kings X, and Toxic Rose. He has the perfect voice to sing for all these bands. June 2023. USA.
Last week I saw Jorn in concert for the first time, and I have to say they sound amazing. I don't understand how Jorn isn't more recognized within the heavy metal scene, without exaggeration I think he is one of the best rock and metal singers in history. However, and as I see he does at other concerts normally, I was annoyed (relatively, of course) that he had to resort to looking at the lyrics and turning the page at the beginning of several songs.
As for continually touching his nose (as he did at the concert I went to see him)... It's none of my business, but it would seem a shame if he resorted to those things, I would drop a myth in a way

danko jones was overrated, he messed up his sound check and had barely any sound on the mic
dirkschneider was awesome.
tungsten was a surprise, i had never heard of them before skogsröjet but they were great
GOK were alright, their singer had that high pitch voice that i dont think goes well with heavy music
eclipse was.. loud
220 volt were also a surprise since they were pretty good
bullet were absolutely awesome as always

the hellacopters were good but also just kinda *stock rock sounds*
i missed half of the bands due to horrible timing..
