Hi Sarah (From Australia), just wanted to say for a relatively new channel you are doing an amazing job, with quick, frequent, and informative videos. You are quickly becoming one of my most favourite Astro channels. Just wanted to say keep up the great work, I think you will go far 👍🏻
Thank you very much for the kind and supportive words. It means a lot! I'm so happy that the videos have been helpful and informative. I hope to continue to make more of them!
Thanks Sarah for this video! I've been looking for a good star reduction method for PS, and your instructions were clear and easy to follow. I just went along step by step, and ended up with some nice results.
I was a Landscape photographer coming late to Astro. You can achieve pretty much the same result in Photoshop using the Camera Raw Filter. Select the Texture tool, and move the slider to the left. Also works in Lightroom.
So glad to hear this video was helpful. What have you found to be most challenging? I don't have any videos on processing globular clusters in Photoshop myself, but here's one that may be suitable for you: ua-cam.com/video/TMG7qnDJZIE/v-deo.html Cheers, Sarah
I have an old version of PS and don't use it enough for the monthly fee. Do you process using GIMP? If so, I would be interested in similar tutorials. Your workflow is very easy to follow and understand.
I’m not sure. It could be a couple of things, could even be the original file itself and the way it was compressed. You can send the original file to me at info@sarahmaths.com and I can try to help.

Thank you, Rick. I haven’t used GIMP but plan to learn it and hope to make tutorials for it.
Thanks!
Thank you!
Hi are you considering solar imaging in Hydrogen Alpha or Calcium K wavelengths 🌞🔭
One day, that would be really awesome!
waiting for new content ;-)
I have new video coming this week :) I had an eye issue for a couple of weeks which is why I haven’t been able to get a new video out.
@@SarahMathsAstro oh, i hope you get well soon
@@danielwille5932 thank you! It’s all better now.
With doing this, it left a grid pattern on my photo. How can I stop it from doing that?
You may need to play with the settings some more and dial in the values you input. That should help I think. Let me know!
@@SarahMathsAstro which setting cause that? Is it because the stars were removed and it just caused it? It might be that it made the space darker?
I’m not sure. It could be a couple of things, could even be the original file itself and the way it was compressed. You can send the original file to me at info@sarahmaths.com and I can try to help.
@SarahMathsAstro that's ok as soon as i turned that layer off, the grid pattern went away. Thanks for your help.
Oh good!
Slow down 😂 lol
🏃🏻♀️thanks for the feedback and thanks for watching!
