Kip, i will point out, almost all the music he uses in this series are from video game soundtracks (namely plants vs zombies)

Ah plants vs. zombies, the nostalgia in my brain was so close to figuring it out when watching his videos.

You can, very technically, scream in space. Assuming you enter space with a full breath of air, for the brief moment while you still have air in your lungs, you can use that air flowing out of you to vibrate your vocal chords. That vibration will not propagate beyond the air dispersing from your mouth, but it would probably be audible to you while it lasts, though you would only get the internal vibration traveling through your body, and not the external sounds. It would be the inverse of what happens when you hear your own recorded voice.

7:10-7:13 i know the feeling, there were times in middle school and high school where i was basically thinking; "wai- wait a minute i feel like there are some things we aren't being taught that are important, i feel some critical information was not given when you put me down n a class that required you to know metric system measurements when no class i passed before it taught these measurements!", the only metric measurement we were taught was centimeters! No mililiters, no milimeters, and then we got classes where these other metric system measurements were needed, I'm pretty sure the chemistry teacher in my high school was flabbergasted by the fact like maybe 1 or 2 of his students knew any of the metric system, that they SELF TAIGHT themselves! Sorry for the ramt i just think it's ridiculous

for the sake of saying so, no matter what you can scream, but too much water pressure or no air just means no one else is gonna hear it, and you'll probably die for trying..... well, die faster for trying.

An actual NASA Engineer has played this and gave praise to the level of detail that Kerbal has. I think they (NASA) used kerbal to test a design.

On the subject of a year being subjective for each planet. From the time it was discovered to the time it was demoted, Pluto had completed less than one orbit. Wasn't even its first anniversary when the League of Planets broke up with it.

The probe sent to it was also sent to explore the last planet in our solar system (New Horizons iirc), but it became the first planetoid exploration while on the way there (Pluto's change in classification happened while New Horizons was still en route)

The thing i love most about this episode, is the fact that Martin recreates the entire plot of the movie "The Martian" in ksp. And he doesn't it completely on accident. lol
you can actually watch the streams used to make this series (up to a certain point). the "footage corruption" was just him cheating. lol instead of running across the surface of Duna for a literal day, he just turned on unlimited fuel for the jet pack the kerbals have and glided there. tho to be fair, he could have just blipped himself there, but instead used a method that could still have resulted in death.

I fully understood the metric system and am considered smart by all my classmates.
So whenever people get to choose groups, a friend group comes over to me, the Asperger syndrome (probably) kid and ask me if I want to be in the group.
Then I let them do the fun stuff and I do the actual math and science stuff, cuz I actually enjoyed that.
Yes, I’m wanting to get a Nuclear Physics degree so I should like stuff like that.

26:00 size is irrelevant it is the Mass of an object and how dense it is that define weight and gravitational pull. Merely look towards a neutron star that averages around the size of 11 kilometers wide with a mass around 1.1 to 1.4 of our Sun, this mean if you had a teaspoon of a neutron star it would weigh around 10 million tons. Anyways i look forward to the next part

So kip telling his cut finger story and how he and to go back to work like a day later reminds me of when something similar happened where I almost cut off the tip of my right pinky on a Thursday got it stitched back on on Sunday and because it was a local anesthetic surgery I could feel the painkillers wearing off later that night with a bit of pain and called me boss to get the Monday off and went back to work on the Tuesday

22:30 that's called a faring. It only has 2 jobs; being aerodynamic and keeping the wind off the payload so that the payload doesn't have to be aerodynamic. It breaks apart once it is clear of the atmosphere because its job is done at that point.

Is it bad to be American and get the 4m/s part, but unable to commit to the hit because you know next to nothing about firearms? Follow up; is it also bad to get 4m/s but constantly forget the mile equivalent to that speed?

    19:30 if this was irl
    Erke is SEVERAL TIMES DEAD
    LET ME COUNT THE WAYS!
1: most space suits have over 16 hours worth of use
Even if Somehow the ship had just arrived He'd be dead since he left his ship to orbit!
2: Since mars has no magnetic field there's no worry for a Van Allen radiation belt But you still got cosmic radiation to worry about
By the time Erke was safely home He'd be Effectively retired due to having way too much radiation
To compare To the iss (aka 50-2,000 milisieverts for a 6 months average stay) He'd be way over the limit of 600mSv for nasa
And WAY WAY WAY over the limit of confirmed cancer chances of 100mSv
So Erke is either Very dead or Going to have HEAVY mutations that will cause cancers and Destroy his dna to the point of infertility
