Pretty good work by the Irish here. They've got a quality QB and are fixing their needs at WR. Things might not be so bleak offensively next year. I do find it kind of ironic that the Irish basically derailed Leonard and Duke last year with that injury and now Leonard will be suiting up in South Bend and Duke's head coach has gone to coach Texas A&M.

Riley is making the right choice for his long term career. If playing in the NFL isn’t in his future, he will have both Duke and Notre Dame degrees, coupled with important network connections, to set him up for life. Kudos to Sam Hartman for checking on Riley after their battle. It may have made a good impression on Riley as to Notre Dame as a quality institution.

Tommy Reese was that kind of OC, with creative and imaginative plays, but didn’t have the talent to execute. I'm 22 and have been a die hard notre dame fan since six, and I can honestly say I've never been more pissed. Anyone who is excited over this is just dumb. I've watched this guy for a couple years now and he's just slightly faster daniel jones. Not a great thrower not overly athletic. This is horrible. So many guys you could try and go after and you pick riley leanord? Cam Ward... no, Dillon Gabriel... no, Dante Moore... no, KJ Jefferson... no Let's get effing riley leanord. Duke was good last year because of running and defense. He offered close to nothing in the passing game.
