omg the ppl in the comments have only seen the male seasons so can i just say how iconic the Crush performance from season 1 is? They fit all 22 girls into one song and it still had better line distribution than songs in later seasons lmfao. Also, When The Cherry Blossoms Bloom is still one of the best kpop ballads out there. Pd101 S1 and Boys Planet definitely had the highest quality songs in my opinion.

My favourites had to be Produce48 songs, especially “You’re in Love Right?”. The Korean girls had to learn Japanese to sing that song, and Japanese trainees had to learn how to dance the dance break in “We Together”, I just feel like girls from these 2 countries (plus AleXa, who is American) gone through so much, and their bond was so inseparable, which makes their last song so emotional for the trainees, especially Sakura. Like in GP999, girls choose their combination songs determined by dumb cell ranks, while boys planet low ranking trainees go first and have the possibility for getting pushed out BUT who was getting pushed out was by the higher ranking trainees choice, like how is that fair that the talented girls who are in a bad cell don’t get to pick while boys could choose another song when they were kicked out, and had different positions? Also the boys could have a rank change while the girls who don’t even know their ranks cause there was only the Top 9 candidates thing and they won’t know how bad they are. Like fr how is that fair?
