Twinkie must have been going through something at this point. Karen must have known too. It's the only time I've seen her cry and look like that at twinkie.

That’s why Dr Mattie Miss Clark still kept Denise in the group inspite of because her angelic voice and amazing runs but like Denise said why will she stay in the group and be disrespected by her sisters excluding Twinkie because she had kids out of wedlock and they need to give her all her royalties They better be glad Denise is not hateful and all she did was walk away
Most R&B singer where influenced by them, if you hear closely you can hear some of the know styles, such as Mary J Blige, Faith Evans, Witney Huston, SWV, in other songs. The Clark Sisters are original talen💯
Lord why did I come here tonight?! I’ve seen this clip 100 times but tonight watching Karen look at Twinkie made me think she was really feeling sorry about Twinkie’s situation and position with Dr. Mattie Moss Clark 😩😩
@@you_can_call_me_T yeah I've watched this video alot and my understanding of this is that By Karen being the baby of the family (like me last outta 7) she feels sorry for Twinkie cuz of what Mattie instilled in Twinkie . Think about it Twinkie was EXHAUSTED AND TIRED of the burden she had to carry and she wondered Was it worth it? Hence is my living in vain? No ofc not and yes it was worth it cuz look where they at and mostly importantly Mattie is proud of her"heartbeat". Hope this helps 💋😘
Dorinda has always been the most beautiful woman in gospel. I remember when she came to our church back in the late 80s and that's all us boys could talk about.
They do favor....that clark blood is strong...but i think Ki-Ki looks more like twinkie when she was younger...look @ twinkie's side profile while she plays the organ in this and tell me you don't see Ki-Ki there...their resemblance is uncanny....Love me some Clarks though.
This is the Signature Clark sisters right here. There sound when Denise was there is still unmatched. These are still some singing sistsas but Denise brought something unique to the group. I love these women

Twinkie must have been going through something at this point. Karen must have known too. It's the only time I've seen her cry and look like that at twinkie.
I just said the same thing
I was thinking that too, there was a pain in her voice and a sadness in her eyes.....and the look from karen....was one of a trial/sorrow that maybe only the two of them knew
toomuchfourU maybe this was after she sold her catalogue for a new Lincoln.....is my playing the organ in vain?
Based on the lifetime movie this is when she told them she was pregnant 🙏🏽
@@MastiffMansWife No that's Denise.
The anointing that God gave their voices can be felt after all of these years even through the screen.
Dorinda Dorinda Dorinda!!!! Twinkie Twinkie Twinkie!!!! Love all the Clark Sisters but these two right here 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ ❤❤ Ms Twinkie your living is not in vain. The songs you wrote are still helping people find and keep Jesus as there Lord and Savior!!! Praise God
wow that put tears in my eyes they were so young you can feel that holy spirit in them
Latasha Ogletree me too...it hit me deep. I guess I often wonder is my living in vain but then I know.....of course not.
Latasha Ogletree Shirley
Latasha Ogletree The Mighty Clouds of Joy
Denise really does make a difference she has a amazing voice. God Bless her.
Jeannettea Crowder
Oh Yes. She is the missing link
I pray all will be forgiven soon and they will come back together.
That’s why Dr Mattie Miss Clark still kept Denise in the group inspite of because her angelic voice and amazing runs but like Denise said why will she stay in the group and be disrespected by her sisters excluding Twinkie because she had kids out of wedlock and they need to give her all her royalties
They better be glad Denise is not hateful and all she did was walk away
❤
I remb my parents had this concert on VHS. I thought they were R&B singers. haha
I first heard these ladies in 1982 on a record,i also sing on my channel
annettemint They're professionalism was on a secular level indeed. Most gospel groups in this era were nowhere near as polished as The Clark Sisters.
So did mine
annettemint me too!!
Most R&B singer where influenced by them, if you hear closely you can hear some of the know styles, such as Mary J Blige, Faith Evans, Witney Huston, SWV, in other songs. The Clark Sisters are original talen💯
I'm addicted to God's word!!
Twinkie: "I CAN'T LEAVE IT ALONE YET" I live for that part! 😂💯💜 They can sing their tails off 🔥🔥
Lord why did I come here tonight?! I’ve seen this clip 100 times but tonight watching Karen look at Twinkie made me think she was really feeling sorry about Twinkie’s situation and position with Dr. Mattie Moss Clark 😩😩
Same. Other people have commented saying she was looking at her with admiration. But to me it looks like pure sorrow 😢
No ofc not and yes it was worth it cuz look where they at and
mostly importantly Mattie is proud of her"heartbeat".
Hope this helps
💋😘
Aww Twinkie!! 😩😩😩 Her parts hit so different now!
It’s healthy how many times I’ve came and watch this 🙌🙌🙌🙌
Me too
Denise kill her part too, she should have never stopped singing
Yesssss
Been obessed with them after the movie chills to my soul
That's a very good thing, for God 😂😢
Dorinda has always been the most beautiful woman in gospel. I remember when she came to our church back in the late 80s and that's all us boys could talk about.
I think Karen spit Kiki out! they are twins. I could see it so much in this video.lol
They do favor....that clark blood is strong...but i think Ki-Ki looks more like twinkie when she was younger...look @ twinkie's side profile while she plays the organ in this and tell me you don't see Ki-Ki there...their resemblance is uncanny....Love me some Clarks though.
Same thing I said Kiki looks more like Twinkie in her younger years. but they are all Clarks.
KiKi is Karen's daughter
Karen did spit her out. That's her daughter.
Yes, that is insane!
Dorinda’s “No, No” at 5:57 is perfection.
Twinkie’s moment at the end hits differently after watching that movie. Twinkie we love you!!!!! You are our champion!!
5:13-5:55 Karen was just admiring one of her idols Twinkie
There was this little run at 6:12 it was the most perfect thing I've ever heard
Delly Delly omg I love that run too
Delly Delly
There is a similar one at 4:36
Which is clearer
I've love this song since the 70's by my favorite female gospel group the dynamic Clark Sisters....at 6:25, I loved Dorinda's ending!🤗🤗
Delly Delly if I'm right, that's Karen!!! Yeah, I'm a big fan and Karen's my fav lol. That was her lol
Rosário de Almeida I'm glad you caught that too.
Five of them sound better than 4. Their 5 member blend is dope
This is the Signature Clark sisters right here. There sound when Denise was there is still unmatched. These are still some singing sistsas but Denise brought something unique to the group. I love these women
04:36-04:39 Oh my Lord, did anybody else hear that run?!👂 🙌
06:13-06:17
J. D. Listen to Twinkle at both of those time marks too 😭😫. Sheesh
It could even be Jackie . Sheesh idk , but whoever singing the low alto notes at those runs 😭😫
@@abbybabyballer11 I think that was Jacky 😇
TWINKIE CLARK!!!!! AND IMMA LEAVE THIS RIGHT HERE💯💯💯
When she say "I can't leave it alone "🙌🏿 that's a shout right there.
i love the look karen gave twinkie at the 5:45-48 mark . she was like like u better take it home .
UP THE ROAD IS ETERNAL GAIN💜💜💜💜💜
Tammy Lewis Amen😇
I never knew what that part said all these years until tonight lol I always thought it said “Cause after all” lord bless it 41 years old and been singing it wrong until Dorinda said it in the clip 😂😂
Who's here after the movie??? All 5 remember that
2022... NEICY & her ad libing self. I love the visuals'cause you REALly get to see what you are HEARing!
5:41 when you sing so good you can make a song out of singing "No". 🤣😲
kokolatte825 I know, right?
The anointing is real. This is so a powerful song. These sisters were and are so talented. They can hold a note. I love this song. Great performance. 💕👼👏👏👏👏
Angel Scovens-Thomas 👏🏾👏🏾🙌🏽
They do can more than hold a note. Heck they make the note.
Twinkie Clark one of the greatest song writers and composera this earth has witnessed!!! Periodttttt!!!!!
After seeing the movie Twinkies riff hits harder. So beautiful.
OMG! It makes no sense for people to be able to sing like that! GOOSEBUMPS!!!!
Everytime I hear Twinkie do that famous solo on the mic at her organ when she says...No,no,no,no,no,no,no,no,no Hunni that sets chills all over me/
In addition to their impeccable vocal skills they are also very very pretty women!
Raised on The Clark Sisters and if you know you know
I LOVE the way that Karen is looking at her big sis when she starts breaking it down about "is my playing the organ in vain".
Dr. Mattie Moss Clark gave us some extraordinary gifts and we should all be grateful for the legendary Clark Sisters!!
I noticed how Karen looks at Twinkie with such love
