Wish you all had a US store!
I second that!!!
Location does not need to be an issue: Ordering via a virtual fitting from Robert is a fantastic experience. Highly recommended. He is amazingly skilled at helping find right frames and tint through an on video call
A virtual consultation with Robert is great but, if you have the means and the time, make the effort to visit in person. Only 45 minutes from Manchester airport and they put you up in a nearby hotel for a night. The store is awesome, you can try on EVERYTHING and Robert and his team really do go above and beyond to ensure your experience is satisfying and memorable.
Thinking about it!
This is pure entertainment for me. Mind blowing expertise and style.
Robert. I said it earlier you are not a master but a headmaster in creating absolutely amazing and beautiful eyewear. 👏
It's so kind of you to say. Thank you, but I feel like there is much more for me to learn and share with my audience
Yes. Everyone has to learn - some by listening and some by experiencing. I have personally learned so much from your channel that opticians at times are amazed at my knowledge.
I’ve learned so much that I didn’t have a clue about with this series on tints! I can truly say this will change my approach to choosing glasses in future. All the glasses you’ve showcased are simply stunning and you have such enthusiasm for the subject, it’s a pleasure to watch.
Thanks! I hope I keep on inspiring you
It would be great for Zeiss to have Purple flash coating tint as soon as possible.
I agree, although the Ruby does look kind of purple when combined with a blue tint
I want to get a new pair of glasses every time I watch your videos. Cartier fan here, but that L’Écurie pair is very impressive.
Luckily for you I'll just keep making you more
So many great tint choices! Not something I would have considered before dealing with you but, now I want tint on every pair. The brown adaptive sun looks nice in the Masunaga frame. 🙂
It does, doesn't it 😉 Those are yours you know!
@@thespectaclefactory I thought they might be.
Amazing, just amazing so well composed every pair is 🤩
Glad you think so!
Robert, thank you for this on tints
You're welcome, thought of you whilst filiming it!
Wow, so many stunning frame/tint combinations. That L'Écurie frame is very stylish indeed.
Thanks! I love them
Very lovely glasses Robert. Can't wait to get a pair from the spectacle factory
Can't wait to help you!
The Masunaga frames and lens solutions you have been showing recently are just spectacular! Real stand outs and very, very elegant. Looking for a provider in the States, that carries Masunaga line.
Thank you! I love showcasing Masunaga. By the way, we've already shipped dozens of Masunaga orders to clients in the US.
@@thespectaclefactory Awesome. I should just work through you for Masunaga.
Seams as if your only limited by your imagination. That said rather than try to pack everything into one pair. If you can afford it, have different glasses for different situations. Although a fixed SV with a photo fusion blue looks perfect.
That would certainly be cool. And it can be done! Hope you're having a great week
Super cool tints!
🙏
Love this video!
Thank you!!
You've inspired me over time, and all my newer glasses have a tint. I have a red tint, a custom lavender with pink added, a pair with copper / orange tint, and I just ordered the new Transitions Gen S ruby with a light brown gradient and flash gold mirror. Also on order, a heavy orange acetate frame with a level 2 G-15 tint.
That makes me really happy. Would love to make more for you
Robert thank you for the video explaining about the tints, and don’t you get dizzy or headache for wearing these different glasses with different prescriptions in one video?
Kind of. Luckily I just need to look towards the camera and don't have to really focus on anything 😂
Daniel here... I love my RLR sweet violet.
Hey! So glad to hear that
When's the next show your collection? I've become an eyewear enthusiast and love your content, now I want to flex 😂
Great video as always! Quick question, what is the difference between adaptive sun lens vs. custom tint lens with photofusion? Thanks
Do the adaptive sun brow polarised have anti reflection coating? Cheers, all interesting stuff.
Yep! Would be glad to make you a pair
For rimless frames with square lenses, would you personally prefer a solid colored tint or would a gradient (35%-20%) look good as well?
That's a tough one. Mine all have gradients...
Robert do you know if the chillout green by Zeiss looks any good?
Um... it can do, but only with very specific frame options. Pistachio is a tint I choose far more option for my clients
@@thespectaclefactory Alright, thank you Robert. Very appreciated!
Can you make Cartier glasses with high - prescription really thin?
Hello Robert. I've been over indulging in your videos recently and i have to say its been very educational.
Might i make a suggestion for a video idea?
As i recall from one of your videos you are a Hideo Kojima fan, which leads me to believe you have some experience gaming. If so i'm sure you know that us glasses users who frequently game also tend to use headphones and its always been a challenge picking the most comfortable frames for headphone users. Perhaps you could make a short video going through some tips on choosing glasses for such users?
Love your vlogs. I have a question about Porsche Design P8951. You mentioned in a previous video that they stopped manufacturing at 500. I have pair 553. Do you know exactly how many they manufactured?
Are you familiar with “SALT Yukon” frame in Matt Black? Can you recommend an Adaptive Sun lens color??
Sir what is the actual configuration of cartier (C de Cartier), You Told it has sweet violet tint , Sapphire coated & photochromic, but which photochromic is it
How do I achieve an amber tint?
I am always leery about flash coatings. I like the way they look, but all the ones I have seen end up being reflective on the back side which is really desecrating. Especially if they have a light tint to them or happen to be phototropic.
@@agnesolsvik Well he probably has a way to do the backside non-reflective, but I have bought other decent priced name brand sunglasses off the self that have this problem.
Do you rate Roka sunglasses?
Cartier +tint = unbeatable choice billionaire
@@agnesolsvik we have same choice instead we leave beyond 7 sea 🌊 whats your opinion about buying next pair of them together
@@agnesolsvik i have only 5 pairs of glasses 🤓 i am going to buy 🔜 red magma with cartier wood edition 🥰
@@agnesolsvik classy but pricy i want leica lenses but they are not avilable in country as always i am going with zeiss lenses can u give me your number
Do all of these lenses have anti reflective coatings?
Yes
O don't want to change glasses to drive at night (unless I keep my night driving glasses in the car which i I gather isn't advised), so I'm questioning my need for a tint as opposed to some kind of photochromic lense. The latter seems more versatile to me.
Seems like you're thinking in terms of only having one pair of glasses. That can be quite a limiting perspective on your enjoyment of eyewear.
But a light tint (up to 25%) is suitable for night driving, so you don't have to worry. And you can always add photochromic to that as well, if you want
@@thespectaclefactory I want to have two or three pairs but, lazy as it sounds, I don't want to make sure I change glasses to drive. I want each pair to be pretty versatile. But that's well worth knowing, thanks.
Robert, are u working out? 😊
I think it's just a tight t-shirt 😅
People put thought into their frames but not into their lenses because most eyewear shops don't focus on lenses and we don't know. My eyewear specialist will focus my prescription but I wonder if they know what you're talking about.
That is a great point
Is that the cherry blossom I see???
I want people to look at me and not the tint of my glasses. One must be careful with tints, especially a business person. Our appearance conveys much about us, especially when it comes to first impressions.
depends what business you're in or how self conscious you are really
I tend to agree, and some of my favourite tints I don't wear at work for this reason... but a 25% tint or less you can easily get away with, and it makes you look better with more comfortable vision throughout the day
@@thespectaclefactory Robert the glaases you wear are the for distance vision or do you wear varificals for multiples distances? Just wondered
