No joke, probably the best production loader operator I've seen on UA-cam. Smooth fluid movements, no wheel slip, full buckets and fast cycle time without excess backing up. It is a pleasure to watch someone like this operate and is a rare find, even among experienced operators. GREAT video!
Couldn't agree with you more. I was in awe of the operator's patterns. No wasted motion. The bucket was smoothly traversing in three dimensions as if it were the waving hand of a symphony's conductor.
Great Videos and editing Production. For a couple years, I thought SoCalEarthmovers was a giant Earthmoving company. After inquiring various California Caterpillar Dealers, it appears that the name "SoCalEarthmovers" was chosen by this one excellent Photographer. Like to hear more about him, and continue viewing his excellent videos. Happy New year all !!! .
That was insane!!!! Crazy to see bottom dump trailers of that size!!!!!!! That loader was incredible as well!!!! I’m glad you included how it unloaded at the end. Beautiful footage!!!!
This is Las Vegas Paving have in southern Nevada. They have 2 equipment yards that are plum full of equipment 1 is 10 acres and the other is almost 12 acres. They have ruffly between 60 and 70 active jobs that are good size and another 40 to 50 jobs that are 2 to 4 week jobs. Great company to work for, they really take care of there employees
The loader hand is pretty good. All these comments are probably going to end his career though. He’s never going to be able to fit his head in the cab again! 😂 On a serious note. What do you use to get the audio while flying the drone? And what kind of drone is it? I work with this loader operator. He’s a good dude.
@@physicsphirst191 the audio is in sync with the dirt dumping and the back up alarm, so it's not generic audio. He just also has a camera set up on the ground and splices that audio onto the drone video.
If you notice, he starts out with a camera on the ground, and switches between drone and ground level shots. So apparently he keeps a camera running on the ground while he's flying, and just syncs the drone video with the ground audio. If you watch, you will see that the back up alarms and dirt dumping are in sync, so he's actually recording it all.
That boom looks a lot like an excavator boom. And a single hydraulic cylinder to curl the bucket. Reminds me a little of my old Michigan 35-A boom. It has a single cylinder on the boom and bucket. Adds to simplicity but I often wonder if it weakens the overall design. But then, my loader is 60+ years old and hasn’t broken yet, so there’s that.
I’ve seen quite a few videos with loaders with the boom like that. Monobeam or monoboom or something like that. Is there an advantage to having a configuration like that versus the typical Z-bar set up?
I would imagine ease of manufacturing, less weight, less pivots to go bad, ease of maintenance. Looks like it has better clearance on the truck bedside also. I ran a several different loaders over the years, and there's a whole lot of grease points on the older double booms.
I agree with the comments about the operator. Top notch. I wonder if its the same operator that was in the SoCalEarthMovers video "Rock & Roll". if its not the same guy than there both amazing.
Now, that’s fast!!👏👏👌 Brilliant and smooth operator, this must be the best and most efficient loading I’ve ever seen with a wheel loader! What is the payload on these bottom dumps, compared to an original 773 crate?🙂 Fun to see an operation like this! Super fast both to load and dump, must be the best alternative to a scraper, when possible to use?😁 Excellent video!!🤩
Y'all talking about how good this guy is but don't even notice how smooth the water truck operator is at 5:50....comin through laying it down. The unsung hero of every dusty job.
Not an operator, so it took me a moment to figure out that the tractor was a CAT dump truck without the dump box, and the Athey trailer was hooked up to it.
First and foremost I'll give the man his due I feel like that should be standard. I do feel like you can get one more bucket. Speed speed and time wise I feel like you could have been done two buckets prior but he's in no hurry he's got a brand new machine he's been there 20 plus yrs nobody's fuckin w him
I believe that is in LasVegas, "golden triangle" area on the northside. Those mountains look familiar. I think that basin is done now since this is about 2 years late.
Awesome video thanks for sharing. I've only been able to find pictures of these big belly dumps so it's really neat to see them working. If you have any more footage of them please continue to post it. Love watching all your videos and seeing how truly big dirt is moved. Wish PEED had a job here in Utah I would jump for the opportunity. Just the learning experience with a company like them would be amazing. Again thanks for sharing and awesome footage as always.
Fantastic video...... best loader-operator video I’ve ever seen 😍 It’s like watching poetry in motion...... operator never stops moving!!!! A lesson to all loader drivers 🤔😃....... and the dumper combination is cool and unusual 🤔
the new blade is certainly another improvement of an already efficient machine, but the operator on board is a real handle, he still used mechanical blades, it has an impressive fluidity, what a combination of these two, exceptional video, greetings from Italy

@@stewatparkpark2933 from a production standpoint they absolutely are. Post up a video and show us how it's done armchair operator...
I agree, one of the best loader operators I've seen. . . 👍
Also, the best dirt moving channel on UA-cam. . . ✔
I totally agree with the prior statement, this operator is an excellent operator!
Awesome footage, no boring music to listen to, just the sound of the wheel loader loading the material and I like a little dust lol. More please lol

That loader op is 1st class, no waisted movements and fluid as water
ua-cam.com/video/167_NXInSYs/v-deo.html
Its easier to look a little smoother on bigger equipment
@@Ma-yahya not bad for tired equipment, however I noticed a little waste in movement and way too much swing .. Always less swing if possible
Thumbs up for the loader operator
Very smooth and good pace
Also filmed very good 💪🏼👊🏼👍🏼
Totally addictive viewing for this old man/little boy.
We run tripple 7s with two 160 ton Athey wagons. Loaded with a Holland loader. Takes about 1:50 seconds to load 185 yards. PKS!!!!!
As always, the best in the business of heavy construction videos. Thanks for you hard work and great editing.
Thanks Marty

He likely splices in generic audio over the drone video... drone is too noisy to serve as a mic platform.

Nice looking 992K with new logo.Would like to see the 992K load 777 bottom dumps
Does anyone know what the V shaped pedestal behind the cab of the 773 is for?
It’s a safety stop to keep the cab safe if the truck and trailer were to jackknife.

that's so powerful that V12 C32👌 1200hp ready for pulling anything 👌 a one of lendary wheel loader from CAT never gets old

These are optimum conditions. Loose face, hard floor and low truck height.
great drone images! big thank you from France 👍👍👍
Great video! I’ve never seen a good video on Cat trucks with Athey trailers. What is the advantages to the belly dumps vs a normal dump truck?
Non stop dumping. And more capacity on a smaller tow unit.
Las Vegas Paving gets stuff done
An excavator wasn't available? Seems large dozer and loader less effective?

Are they converted dump trucks or factory-built, great vid by the way

Not bad for stocked piled sand. Needs a bigger bucket. Should be a three pass load .
Who modifies the 773D to serve as a mule for the Athey 11T?
Good job 👍👍

Looks like no operator in the seat of the loader at the start!!
Best operator ive seen in years, hope he reads all the comments :)
What is the machine that is pulling those Athey wagons?
This guy is a good operator....fast/smooth
Why is he hitting his brakes to back out of the pile
i like bottom dumps.nonstop action
who was the contractor for this job
This is the best shit ever
why that type of a dump trailer as opposed to dump truck ? i am not in that business but i am curious. thank you !
I'm going to Hazzard a guess and say efficiency. The belly trailers can haul more yardage per trip and dump faster than an end dump.
The 773D's can do pinpoint dumping!

What are the large brackets behind the truck cabs?
Probably so they can’t jackknife passed 90 degrees
IDK, but I think they might be converted dump trucks, and the bracket may be the dump box rest-holder. Just a guess.
They are called turn stops, and are to prevent damage to the cab from a jacknife situation.
@@jdofmemi Thanks
John McCart that’s where the bed rests. When the dump bed is on it. Has nothing to do with turn stops or anything like that.
Sweet!
